Abstract

School engagement is a multidimensional construct that refers to student involvement in schools in three dimensions, namely involvement in behavioral, emotional and cognitive aspects. School Engagement Measure is an instrument to measure student engagement in schools that has been widely used in various countries. In order to use the instrument in a culturally different way, an adaptation process is needed so that the adapted instrument is valid and reliable. The purpose of this study was to obtain a standardized version of the School Engagement Measure in Indonesia. The International Test Commission Guidelines (2017) were used in the adaptation process. Based on the results of the CFA analysis using the JASP 0.15.0.0 program, it can be concluded that the overall School Engagement Measure model with indicators consisting of three dimensions, namely behavioral engagement, Emotional engagement and cognitive engagement, has a good fit model. The null hypothesis means that the SEM model is acceptable. This explains that the resulting model can describe the actual conditions.

Abstract

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) as the "guard" of the border gate has big challenges in its efforts to supervise international narcotics smuggling into Indonesia. Recently, at DJBC, a special directorate was created to handle narcotics trafficking activities, namely the Narcotics Interdictation Directorate. This study discusses the threats and risks of narcotics trafficking in the context of customs and excise in Indonesia, which makes DJBC need a special directorate of narcotics. The strategy of the Directorate of Narcotics Interdiction of DJBC in an effort to prevent international narcotics smuggling into Indonesia, and the synergy between the Directorate of Narcotics Interdiction of DJBC and the Intelligence Unit of DJBC and other intelligence communities in Indonesia in monitoring and eradicating narcotics smuggling. The research in this thesis uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are through in-depth interviews with internal and external sources of DJBC, observation, and literature review. The researcher uses a number of theories and concepts in this research, namely national security, smuggling, customs and excise, intelligence, strategic intelligence and the intelligence community, and organizational governance. The results of this study indicate a high and worrying threat to narcotics abuse in Indonesia. This threat makes DJBC need a special directorate that focuses on dealing with narcotics smuggling. This special directorate also facilitates the synergy between DGCE and other institutions and between directorates in overseeing the threat of narcotics.

Abstract

This study would like to see the impact of toll road development toward retail industry growth especially modern retail by taking the construction of the Trans Java toll road in Indonesia. Using a difference-in-differences (DID) approach, this study analyzes the effect of Trans Java Toll Road in 7.656 villages crossed by toll road from 2006 to 2018. The result shows that, on average, after Trans Java toll road program, the trend of increasing the number of minimarkets in villages crossed by the Trans Java toll road is 0.53 units larger compared to The villages that doesn't crossed by Trans Java toll road. But the results show that there is no significant effect of the Trans Java toll road on the number of traditional stores, namely the grocery store as traditional retail. It can be seen that toll road development programs tend to open up access to the growth of the modern retail industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

TThe king pineapple plant (Agave Cantala Roxb) is a plant that grows in lowlands and hills with a stem height between 150-200 cm, and leaf lengths between 90-100 cm, on the inside of the leaves contain a lot of fiber wrapped in green outer ciliates. The quality of paving blocks with additional material of fibers of king pineapple leaves with a size of 2-3 cm, with a percentage of 0%, 3%, 5% and 7% of the weight of cement, in a ratio of 1: 5, then molded with a size of 20 cm x 10 cm x 8 cm. Conducted testing of the tensile strength of single fibers and compressive strength of paving blocks. The results of the takari sand fine aggregate gradation test meet the requirements of SNI 03-1986-1990 in zone III. Specific gravity testing is classified as normal fine aggregates of 2.5 to 2.7 according to SNI 1968-1990. The test results of sludge content of 2.62% ? 5% SK SNI S-04-1989-F, the content weight of 1,550 Kg/cm ? 1.2 Kg/Cm³ refers to the 1989 PBI. Test results Single tensile of king pineapple leaf fibers averaged 196,692 MPa. The weight of the block paving volume decreased by 2.16%, while the absorption of block paving water increased by 0.91%. The test results of the strongest compressive strength of paving blocks are found in additional materials of 5% capable of withstanding a load of 57.56 Kg / cm².

Abstract

Project delays are an event that often occurs in every project, especially projects with the scope of Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) in Indonesia. Many factors affect the slowness of the project so that the performance of a project will not run well if supervision and control are not carried out. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the factors that cause delays, make modeling using dynamic systems and how to make effective managerial suggestions to accelerate project performance. This research method uses mixed methods. The results of this study there are 3 factors that cause delays in the project, starting from the largest factor based on the results of the mean rank analysis is the Construction factor, followed by Procurement, and finally Engineering. In the Construction Factor, five main indicators were taken to cause the delay in the Petreleum Gas Liquid Tank EPC project in Kupang which occurred because the material did not meet specifications, work was stopped due to design changes, delays in project manager decision making, differences of opinion between contractors and consultants, and poor construction quality. Managerial advice in this study is to improve the quality of Human Resources and improve communication networks, tighten the control function and evaluate periodically.

Abstract

The sea is an important part and is a natural resource that drives economic growth. Apart from that, the sea is also an asset for Indonesia. Currently the Indonesian government is fully concentrating on maritime development and wishes to become the world's maritime axis. However, it should be realized that maritime development issues are not as easy as one might think. Various complicated problems that arise from the internal and external environment which are obstacles and must be resolved first. To solve this problem the government needs to build a maritime management system, so that the sea is no longer just a name or symbol for Indonesia as a maritime country but also as one of the economic sectors that presents products or services where the results can encourage people's welfare.
