Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role and responsibility of the state through the Financial Services Authority and the Indonesia Stock Exchange in monitoring misleading company prospectuses and legal remedies that can be taken by investors if they suffer losses due to misleading prospectuses. The method used in the research is juridical normative to analyze the application related to the legal position of the prospectus as a way to fulfill information disclosure, and to obtain a complete picture of information disclosure through a prospectus that must be supervised by the Financial Services Authority and the Indonesia Stock Exchange, where if misleading is found in the prospectus which at any time can cause losses, investment actors can take criminal, civil, and administrative sanctions, in addition to investment actors can also pursue dispute resolution through alternative institutions outside the court that have been accommodated by Indonesian positive law.

Abstract

The present study aims to investigate the relationship between brand image, trust, and purchase decisions in the context of the TikTok Shop. As the e-commerce industry continues to evolve, factors influencing consumer purchase decisions have become increasingly complex. This research focuses on the impact of brand image and trust on consumers' decisions to make purchases within the TikTok Shop platform. In this study, a quantitative research approach is adopted, utilizing survey questionnaires to collect data from a sample of TikTok Shop users. The questionnaires assess participants' perceptions of brand image, trustworthiness, and their purchase intentions within the TikTok Shop environment. Statistical analyses, including correlation and regression analyses, are employed to examine the relationships between these variables. The findings of this study contribute to the understanding of how brand image and trust play pivotal roles in shaping consumers' purchase decisions within the context of the TikTok Shop. By shedding light on the factors that influence consumers in making online purchases, businesses and marketers can develop strategies to enhance their brand image and foster trust among consumers. This, in turn, can lead to increased purchase intentions and ultimately drive business growth. This research provides valuable insights for marketers, practitioners, and researchers seeking to optimize their marketing efforts within the dynamic and competitive e-commerce landscape. Understanding the interplay between brand image, trust, and purchase decisions in the context of TikTok Shop can guide businesses in developing effective marketing campaigns and building stronger relationships with their target audience.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing whether or not there is herding behavior seen from the value of the debt to equity ratio, the effect of sustainability reports on firm performance and determining which company leaders or followers are better in firm performance. The herding behavior observed in this study was between companies in five countries. The total number of companies is 127 companies are Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines with an observation period of 2018 to 2022. To measure sustainability report disclosure, a checklist is made based on the suitability of the disclosures with 91 indicators. Firm performance is proxied by Tobin's Q, return on assets and net profit margin, while the controls in this study are proxied by total assets and firm age. The analytical method used in this study is by measuring the herding manager index and the SEM - PLS method using the WARP PLS application version 7.0. From the test results it was found that there was herding capital structure in the five observation countries, disclosure of sustainability reports had a positive effect on return on assets and Tobin's Q. Meanwhile, disclosure of sustainability reports had no effect on net profit margin. Then from the test results it is proven that the leader company is better than the follower company in firm performance.

Abstract

The construction industry has demonstrated resilience during the pandemic, becoming a global economic engine. Indonesia's PT Waskita Karya Tbk, a state-owned construction company, reported negative financial performance in its annual report, indicating a decline in revenues. As a public corporation, the company must maintain excellent financial performance and offer opportunities for shareholders. The movement of SOE's Construction shares with the code WSKT has also experienced a downward trend. Based on the dynamics of the business environment, the purpose of this research is to gain a deeper understanding of the Indonesian construction industry to identify Waskita Karya's challenges and opportunities. In addition, the study will determine the company's intrinsic and relative value if it defaults on its debts. The research will compute the company's value using the discounted cash flow (DCF) method and comparable companies. The study analyzes the impact of bond payment delays on Waskita Karya's financial performance, examining how these delays affect cash flow, liquidity, and overall financial health. The study focuses on the company stock valuation of PT. Waskita Karya Tbk and the impact caused by bond payment delays. The findings provide valuable insights for investors, stakeholders, and financial analysts, helping them make informed decisions about their investment in Waskita Karya’s and better understand associated risks and opportunities. In conclusion, using the discounted cash flow analysis method, the implied value per share is IDR 550.22.

Abstract

The characteristics of e-commerce transactions that are fast, cross national borders, and present business model innovations that are increasingly developing raise new challenges in terms of taxation. The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of the self-assessment system, tax socialization, and tax administration modernization on tax awareness and its implications for taxpayer compliance. The population in this study consists of taxpayers engaged in online trading (e-commerce). The data analysis technique employed in this research is quantitative, utilizing the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The findings of this study indicate that the self-assessment system has a significant impact on tax awareness, tax socialization significantly affects tax awareness, and tax administration modernization has a significant influence on tax awareness. Furthermore, the self-assessment system significantly influences taxpayer compliance, tax socialization has a significant impact on taxpayer compliance, and tax administration modernization significantly affects taxpayer compliance. The study concludes that higher levels of self-assessment system, tax socialization, and tax administration modernization lead to increased tax awareness. Additionally, as tax awareness levels increase, taxpayer compliance also tends to rise.

Abstract

The rapid growth of technology and the internet has encouraged the development of the e-commerce industry in Indonesia. In an effort to increase sales and interaction with customers, e-commerce companies are increasingly adopting the use of ads tailored to individual preferences, known as personalized ads. This study aims to investigate the effect of personalized ads on e-commerce applications in Indonesia on user satisfaction. This study used quantitative research methods. The data collection technique carried out is to distribute questionnaires. The collected data is then statistically analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that personalized ads have a positive influence on the level of user satisfaction of e-commerce applications in Indonesia. Users who receive personalized ads are more satisfied with e-commerce apps than users who don't receive personalized ads.

Abstract

Papua, region in eastern Indonesia which has a separatist movement threatening Indonesia's sovereignty. Soldiers of Indonesia National Army (TNI) as a means of national defense seeks to integrate the TNI's strengths through the establishment of a Joint Defense Area Command III (Kogabwilhan-III) defense policy which covers the Maluku and Papua regions. The communication dimension is seen as important in the success of policy implementation, so the purpose of this research is to analyze the communication dimension in the implementation of Kogabwilhan III policy and identify the factors that influence the implementation of Kogabwilhan III from a communication perspective and what the challenges are. This study using a qualitative descriptive method to explore cases in depth from various sources of information at a certain time. The results of the study explain that the implementation of the Kogabwilhan III policy in the communication dimension has three indicators, i.e. transmission, clarity and consistency indicators. Reviewing the challenges and obstacles, innovation is needed in the communication dimension by adding indicators of local wisdom. Moreover, policy implementation of Kogabwilhan III is divided into two forms of communication: internal communication and external communication.

Abstract

Terrorism is an issue of particular concern worldwide because of its global threat. The Indonesian government realizes that terrorism is an extraordinary event that requires special handling, hence, the appropriate countermeasure is needed. One of the ways to achieve it is by deradicalization and disengagement of former convicts in terrorism cases. This article aims to determine the role of deradicalization and disengagement methods for ex-convicts in terrorism cases as a strategy for dealing with criminal acts of terrorism in Indonesia. The research method used in this study was literature research, which was then analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Deradicalization programs require many approaches which depend on the individual’s characteristics in understanding the process of radicalization that occurs and is experienced by certain individuals or groups. So that by understanding the interpretation of the deradicalization polemic that is occurring, a new formulation is needed for the treatment of convict convicts. Effective methods of deradicalization and disengagement rehabilitation, continuous testing, periodic assessment, and strict supervision, carried out by the state in a comprehensive manner, can undoubtedly be a form of great support, specifically, for ex-convicts to not return and join their radical groups and leave violent ways.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) The differences in the influence of squat jump style on participants of athletics extracurricular who undergo alternate leg bound plyometric training and double leg bound plyometric training. (2) The interaction between plyometric training and lower limb power on squat jump style. (3) The differences in squat jump style results between alternate leg bound plyometric training and double leg bound plyometric training for participants with high lower limb power. (4) The differences in squat jump style results between alternate leg bound plyometric training and double leg bound plyometric training for participants with low lower limb power. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a 2x2 treatment by level factor design. The sample size used was 40 individuals determined from the categories of high lower limb power and low lower limb power. The instruments used were standing broad jump to measure lower limb power and squat jump. Data analysis technique used a two-way ANOVA with a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study show differences in the influence of squat jump style among extracurricular participants undergoing alternate leg bound plyometric training and double leg bound plyometric training. There is an interaction between plyometric training and lower limb power on squat jump style. Recommendations for extracurricular instructors include considering alternate leg bound plyometric training as an alternative method to improve squat jump style.
