Abstract

Learning media that have been used in the form of books and learning media using power point still not support student achievement. In this method sometimes the concentration of students is split with other things, consequently the students are less understanding of the subject matter, as well as the subjects of PPKN, not a few students feel bored and saturated to learn it, students just memorize without understanding the basic concept. The main software used is Macromedia Flash 8 as a software to create create an interesting learning media, iinterakktif and educating. This learning media is filled with materials that have been peeled, researched and in accordance with the Education and Culture Materials Anis Baswedan by issuing the regulation of Minister of Education and Culture no 160 of 2014 about the implementation of the curriculum in 2006 and 2013 curriculum. Application of learning media PPKN class II SMK curriculum 2013 facilitate the teachers or teachers to deliver lessons or materials PPKN. And increase interest in learning and ease in teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Electricity is one of primary demand that is very important to human life, where almost all of human activities rely on electricity. But, as electricity has limited resource, its utilization must be optimized. It is necessary to increase the energy efficiency so that the energy elasticity will be decreasing. Based on one-directional causality from economic development to electricity consumption, it is shown that the application of conservation policy in reducing electricity consumption has no impact to GDP, which is one parameter of economic development. Besides that, the directional causality also suggests that GDP can be used as a variable in building electricity demand model.The national electricity demand modelling is influenced by several variables, including GDP, electricity prices, installed capacity, and total of previous year electricity consumption. Based on RUPTL (General Plan of Power Generation), the additional installed capacity in 2025 is planned to reach 129 GW (Giga Watts). So, the 115 GW installed capacity that already planned by KEN (Kebijakan Energi Nasional – National Energy Policy) could be achieved if the plan could be realized. KEN is also targeting that the amount of total electricity consumption per capita in 2025 reaching up to 2,500 KWh.The demand of electricity until 2025 is estimated using 2 scenarios. The first scenario is based on GDP’s growth as stated in RPJMN for four consecutive year from 2015-2018, i.e. 5.8%, 6.6%, 7.1% and 7.5%. For the period of 2019-2025, an 8% of GDP’s growth is used. Then, second scenario is done by using GDP‘s growth around 9% per year. Based on first scenario, the demand of electricity per capita in 2025 is 2,067.55 KWh, while for second scenario is 2,526.73 KWh. Finally, although the target of installed capacity had been reached, the electricity demand must be supported by a high GDP’s growth. So that, the goals which already targeted by KEN could be achieved. In order to produce appropriate electricity demand, 156 million tonnes coal is needed for first scenario and 196 million tonnes for second scenario.

Abstract

The purpose of using bamboo depletion machine is to increase the quantity and quality of bamboo depletion production for gedek bamboo craftsmen. Bamboo depletion machine is a machine that works to attenuate bamboo with the thickness that can be arranged as needed. This machine is used to help small entrepreneurs produce bamboo depletion products in large quantities by saving time and labor. The working principle of this engine is a motor gasoline as a driving force to generate power and rotation that is transmitted through pulleys and belts to the shafts with the aid of gears on each axle to rotate the roller. After roller rotate will produce a tensile force that will be used to pull the bamboo to the knife so that there bamboo depletion process. The experimental results show that this bamboo depletion machine has an average capacity of 224 layers / hour. Dimension of bamboo depletion machine with specification: P 600 mm, L 600 mm, T 1200 mm, iron plate material, power motor drive 5,5 PK. So that the productivity and quality of products made of bamboo can be the same and uniform according to consumer standards.

Abstract

Demands that must be done High School in the implementation of the learning process that utilizes information and communication technology to face various obstacles that are not simple. The main problem that is often faced by the School is the lack of facilities infrastructure, human resources and learning resources. While the teacher is a skill pengampu knowledge of additional teaching materials, and teacher motivation in the use of the Internet as a supporter of learning. This study aims to determine the utilization of the internet by high school students as a supporter of learning and its influence on the motivation of high school students in the city of Wonogiri. In carrying out this research activity used method: dispersion questionnaire for data retrieval, validity test, reliability test, normality test subsequently tested hypothesis by linear regression. From the research results obtained that the use of internet and motivation to learn a positive effect on student learning activities.

Abstract

RTM engine engineering (Resin Transfer Molding) is aimed to improve the quality of composite materials research in the environment Pratama Mulia Polytechnic Surakarta. Activities of this RTM engine engineering include: Planning, manufacturing, and testing of machinery. making a printing machine with a vacuum method. Material construction machine using steel elbow 50x50 mm, Motor vacuum using Ve280n model with 110-220V / 50-60Hz power 1 HP, Mold using material Allumunium 350 x 350 x 50 mm. After doing the testing machine, it was found that the RTM machine can be used to print fiber-reinforced polyester resin composite with a size of 200 x 200 x 3.2 mm.

Abstract

This research aims to design a teaching materials for increasing motivation and learning achievement of the students in Microcontroller course, Department of Electronics Engineering, Politama Surakarta. It also aims to identify effects of using Arduino Kit teaching materials in motivation and learning achievement. Data is taken from 2 groups of Assembly Language course, each has 32 students. Research instruments use questionnaire, pretest and post-test. The questionnaire uses 5-point Likert Scale. The pretest and post-test use objective test with 4 options. Data is collected and analyzed with SPSS v23. Homogeneity and normality test are used before testing hypothesizes. Hypothesizes are tested with nonparametric statistics Mann-Whitney U-Test. Research results show that the use of Arduino Kit instructional media has positive impact on both motivation and learning achievement. The average score of motivation of the treatment group (72,90) is higher than the average score of motivation of the control group (68,19). Results also show that the post-test average learning achievement of the treatment group (26,49) is higher than the average learning achievement of the control group 22,03.

Abstract

The study entitled "Strengthening Effect of Particle Hibride Charcoal Rice Husk Powder and Mechanical Properties of Calcite Against On Polyester Resin Composites" aims to determine the effect of the volume fraction of filler partkel hibride the mechanical properties of composite properties. Mechanical properties of the composite hibride researched include flexural strength properties of the standard ASTM D 790, Impact strength properties of the standard ASTM D 5941 and ASTM standard fuel properties ktahanan D 635.dan SEM fracture morphology to determine the composite. Matrix composites using Unsaturated Polyester Resin BQTN 157, Filler hibride using rice husk charcoal powder and powder kalisit 60-80 mesh 100-120 mesh with a total weight of the filler fraction of 50%. Percentage ratio between the weight fraction of filler hibride rice husk powder and powder calcite are: 15:35, 20:30, 25: 25, 30:20. MEKP hardener using 1 wt% Matrix Resin. Material is mixed using a mixer rotation of 100 rpm for 5 minutes. Making composite by means poured into the mold by holding time of 30 minutes. Composite specimens given rain water immersion treatment for 20 days. The test results in getting the highest mechanical properties of the composite specimens: The flexural strength 95.54 N / mm2, the impact strength of 5.97 kJ / mm2, and fuel resistance properties rate of 0.10 mm / sec. Lowest mechanical properties is obtained: The flexural strength 84.17 N / mm2, the impact strength of 5.10 kJ / mm2, and fuel resistance properties rate of 0.19 mm / sec.

Abstract

PPA and BBP-PPA scholarship admissions process at the University of Surakarta still use the Microsoft Excel-based input and output. So that the selection process for this scholarship have a disadvantage in terms of the use of time, energy efficiency and the mind. Based on these data I was motivated to create an application using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 with Microsoft Access 2010 database. The application created using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as a form in the data input, the selection process and output display selection results scholarships and Microsoft Access 2010 is used as a data storage medium students who stored for later data that has been stored can be displayed in accordance boundary data will be used. Display accurate data contains a combination of the basic criteria to qualify for the scholarship acceptance of the existing data on student data and student family data. At the time of running the program in the community scholarship selection Surakarta University, scholarship acceptance processes BBP-PPA and PPA from data collection, input, process and output data will be more efficient time, the effectiveness of energy and mind. The selection process starts automatically based on criteria that are needed, so that the displayed data will be more accurate, and reading the data easier to understand.

Abstract

Research vision and computer graphics, motion tracking fingertips of video image sequences automatically has been a very interesting study to be developed. Good tracking method should be able to find back the ends of the finger after the obstacle no longer exists and is also able to predict the fingertips are hindered by the position information of the fingertips that are not obstructed. In practice, there are two ways to track the movement of an object. The first approach is called the approach-by-detection tracking. In this approach, to track an object the object detection performed on each frame of moving pictures or videos are observed, in order to determine the position of the object in each frame. The second approach is referred to as a detection approach-by-tracking. From the results of tracking the movement of a hand camera-based smartphone will use a method of classification algorithm k-Nearest Neighborhood (k-NN) and Naive Bayes (NB). From the research results will be known influence on the movement of fingertips, and penagkapan fingertips as well as the classification method to obtain the arrest of the movement of a fingertip accuracy, algorithms and data from a tracking number will be tested for accuracy. The best results of testing of the algorithms will be the result and purpose of this research.
