Abstract

Image recognition field of science has developed, among others, in handwriting recognition or handwriting recognition, both online and offline. Several previous studies mentioned that the accuracy of handwriting recognition system can be improved by using a combination of the number of input layer, hidden layer and output layer appropriately. But it is not yet in a concrete formulation. This is due to the structure of Neural Network used are also very varied, although equally composed of input layer, hidden layer and ourput layer. In this study will be sought influence the amount of the layer that is symmetrical to the level of accuracy. Selection of the amount of the symmetrical layers based on that all structures Neural Network consists of input layer, hidden layer and ourput layer. Tests performed on the input data 5 that is a handwriting from 5 different audience by using a symmetrical 10 the number of layers between 121 to 400. As well pembading done tests on the same data as the number of input layer, hidden layer and output layer varying between 196 So the total to 400. The test is as much as 100 times. In this study, the total amount of time the process is not a consideration. The amount of the symmetric layer produces a better accuracy rate than the use of the number of layers that are not symmetrical, although not very significant. Tertiary difference value obtained accuracy is 8%.

Abstract

Applications welded joints are still the main choice in the field of construction. This is because the construction becomes lighter, cheaper and faster in the welding process. Weld strength is strongly influenced by the composition and properties of the based metal and filler, and welding process. The purpose of this study was to investigate the hardness and SMAW( Metal Shielded Arc Welding) welding joint microstructure of low carbon steel due to variations in electrical current input. Research using ST 37 steel material and variation filler LB-5U and NC-36L, with a variation of the electric current of 80 A, 100 A and 120 A. Result of extension of characteristic with interesting examination, hardness, and micro structure. Interesting examination use standard of JIS Z2201. Result of research indicate that extension of las with NC-36L filler and use current equal to 120 A have highest interesting strength that is 38,36 kN/m2, while extension of las with LB-5U filler and use current equal to 80 A have interesting strength lowered that is 15,80 kN/m2. Hardness test using rockwell hardness testing machine, while the micro-structure photograph using an optical microscope. The hardness results of welds decreases, while the predominantly cementite microstructure with finer sizes.

Abstract

Classic converter is a series of power converters required to activate and deactivate the motor SRM (switched reluctance motor) which consists of two switches (IGBT) and two diode flywhell for each phase Before making the appliance power converters are real, necessary modeling to know and understand the behavior and the interaction between these converters with a motor. In this study, classic converter modeled with PSIM software to recognize performance by applying the hard and soft switching techniques. Mechanical hard switching is a condition where the second IGBT current on and off is made in the same time, while the soft switching technique is a condition in which the second working IGBT current on and off is made in different time. In order to implement these two techniques required angle and angle on the pulse. On the corner is a corner to produce forward rotation, the magnitude of 900. The pulse angle is the angle to produce the desired rotation and torque (set pulse width), the magnitude of 00 - 1200. angle and angle on a series of pulses inserted into the controller to turn on and off a series of classic converter which supplies the source voltage to the stator coil. Mechanical hard switching produce rotation, minimum torque, which is greater than the voltage soft switching techniques. Soft switching technique produces motor current and losses in semiconductor that is larger than the hard switching techniques. Mechanical hard switching. generates maximum torque similar to a soft switching technique (1.213 Nm and 1.216 Nm).

Abstract

Safety is a concern of the companies in their business operations. Safety performance is a critical component of health care responsibilities and identify opportunities to improve services. In high-risk organizations, safety performance is generally seen as a leading indicator to provide information about the potential risk dangerous. The purpose of the assesment of safety performance is to identify and manage safety issues. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the factors that affect the safety performance by PCR and NIPALS method and make the safety performance relational equation model with factors that influence it. The object of the research is a nurse in Bayangkara hospital, Kediri. Research will be conducted a research with quantitative methods. Collection the data for this study using questionnaires distributed to respondents. The required data is data on the variables that have been identified previously. Data needed in the form of metric data with X and Y are more than one. Based on data processing using PCR and NIPALS found that PC Y2 is the best equation model for prediction methods of PCR and Y 3 for NIPALS method. SSE of PCR models smaller than that obtained from NIPALS method, so it can be concluded that the best model is the model equations using PCR. Abstract

Internet with dynamic web is used as a means of information and promotion has been used by many people in various fields. Auxiliary facility information system with search and recommendation is needed for people who are ignorant about the information required. The height of new students, mostly from outside Kediri looking rooming house around the campus of the University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri, attracted the attention of researchers to design a dynamic web searches boarding houses are equipped with the implementation method of Weighted Product (WP) for auxiliary systems search rooming house in accordance with the criteria boarding house search. The system is equipped with a Geographic Information System (GIS) to determine the position of the boarding house recommended. The system is made with the theme of decision support. Algorithm Implementation WP done based on criteria rental price of rooms, amenities, and distance from campus boarding houses UN PGRI Kediri. Sample data is 10 boarding houses were selected randomly around campus with distances and different facilities. With the implementation of Weighted Product, the system is able to provide ratings information rooming house based on the calculation of each criterion, the ranking is based on price, location or distance to search boardinghouse can select desired a rooming house. Based on the test results and analysis system, concluded that the system can help facilitate the search for a boarding house close to campus UN PGRI Kediri pretty well.

Abstract

In the determination of Concentration requires a recommendation system as an alternative to taking the decision to vote with the right concentration. The problems faced by students of the Informatics prodi Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) in determining the concentration according to his own abilities and interests is very difficult, let alone with a student who is not confident with his ability, follow friends and lack of information known by students about the concentration there is. Therefore, the recommendation system built in this study as one of the alternative attempts to address these problems. Determination of the concentration of established based on several categories/consideration, namely the interest of the students (using questionnaires/question form) and the value of the course (transcriptions) in each concentration. Matlab programming language implementation and research method using fuzzy mamdani. Mamdani's method is the most appropriate method with the penenlitian, because it is simple in structure, i.e. using Min-Max. The data is managed via phase – phase calculation of the fuzzy logic and then give the output in the form of recommendations and the results of the comparison of the student in question. The results of this research in the form of a recommendation system that helps students to determine concentration based on the desired category, as well as the system menghasil accuracy rate of 94.7619% of the data.

Abstract

The purpose of this study for determine influence size of the inlet to the hardness, toughness and microstructure pulley with casting mold sand raw materials aluminum scrap. The smelting process using crucible furnace. Sand molds be made 3 kinds of different inlets, each inlet same was made 4 sand molds. Hardness testing is done by using the Vickers hardness test. the load to pressure 100 gf, the time to pressure 5 seconds. Toughness testing with use standard ASTM D256-03 machine test impact charpoy. Observation of microstructure was observed on each specimen by using an optical microscope. The hardness test results show that hardness value of the highest on the dimensions of the inlet height 6 mm is 64.4 VHN while the lowest value to the dimensions of the inlet height 5 mm is 60.96 VHN. The toughness test results show that toughness value from the three specimens almost the same is 0.057 joules / mm2; 0.0565 joule / mm2 and 0.0565 joules / mm2. While the structure micro of castings with high dimensional inlet 5 mm and 7 mm occurred structure micro which is almost the same, while the dimensions of the inlet height 6 mm has a spread of Fe, Si and Mg is more evenly distributed.

Abstract

Engineering materials utilizing waste Charcoal Husk Rice Particles (PASP) as a filler in the unsaturated polyester resin matrix composite BQTN 157, aims to determine the effect of soaking to changes in mechanical properties of flexural strength and impact strength in the composite specimen. Polyester resin material mixed with a kind of BQTN 157 charcoal husk rice particles (PASP) vf 40%, 1% wt hardener. Material is poured into the mold, holding time 30 minutes. Composites are made based on the test specimen flexural and impact test specimens. Composite given treatment soaking for 150 hours with a variation of the fluid; rain water, mineral water, and water wells with 10 wt% water vinegar. Specimens in doing testing of flexural strength ASTM D 790 standards and impact testing standard ASTM D 5941 to determine the mechanical properties of the composite. Testing Results indicates that the flexural strength of the composite without treatment 35,50 N / mm2, while the composite with the treatment had an average flexural strength: mineral water Soaking 34.53 N / mm2, rain water soaking 34.66 N / mm2, soaking water wells + 10% Vinegar 32.89 N / mm2,. Tests on the impact strength shows that the impact strength of the untreated composites 4,16 kJ / mm2, while composites with bath treatment had an average impact strength as follows: Soaking mineral water 3,62 kJ / mm2, rain water soaking 3,35 kJ / mm2 , well water soaking + 10% Vinegar 2,98 kJ / mm2.

Abstract

Now, along with the price of kerosene is expensive , hence the idea of the use of coal briquettes in ground water reappears . Even the government has planned to make coal briquette stove 10 million to help the poor who can not afford to buy kerosene . However, it is still lacking in the community response including the small and medium enterprises ( SMEs ) who are currently looking for confusion cheap fuel substitute for oil , coal briquettes because it still contains some weaknesses include air pollution , especially smell and smoke , in side need time ( 5-10 minutes, depending on the quality of the coal briquettes ) to lit it , after a great fire was lit a little difficult to manage. Gasification system has several advantages over direct combustion of coal . Because the form of gas, combustion gas through the gasification of coal is much more easily controlled than direct combustion of coal , gas coal gasification process results can be used for various purposes , among others, to cook , drive the gas turbine , motor fuel moving in , as fuel in boilers, as well as for lighting. Utilization of biomass gas for cooking purposes using a reactor or a device called a gasification furnace . However, for me - gasification of coal gasification furnace required a special design so that the process of gasification and combustion can take place more efficiently and more clean.
