Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there is an influence of using articulate storylines on students' learning outcomes and interest. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental design research type in the form of a nonequvalent control group design. The population in this study was class XI of SMAN 5 Soppeng, totaling 206 students. By using a simple cluster random sampling technique, class XI.2 was chosen as the control class whose learning used conventional methods and class XI.6 as the experimental class whose learning used articulate storyline media. Data on learning outcomes was obtained through tests, while data on interest in learning was obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. From this research it was found that (1) the use of Articulate Storyline media in learning was carried out very well. (2) there is a better or increased influence on the learning outcomes and interest of students who use Articulate Storyline media compared to using conventional learning, (3) there is an influence of using Articulate Storyline media on students' learning outcomes and interest as proven by the MANOVA test with values significance is 0.00 which is below the value of 0.05.

Abstract

Education has an important role in the world of entrepreneurship and job creation. According to the results of the initial analysis carried out, students' entrepreneurial competence is relatively low, so there is a need for relevant entrepreneurship education in learning media that can increase students' entrepreneurial competence, one of which is the existence of Social Arithmetic Snakes and Ladders media for Increasing Edupreneurship. So this research aims to develop learning media and analyze the validation of design results for developing snakes and ladders learning media to increase student education in social arithmetic material. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the Thiagarajan 4D development model consisting of Define, Design, Development and Dissemination. The data collection technique used was validation questionnaires from material experts, media experts, edupreneurship experts, and student response questionnaires. The development results obtained are the Snake and Ladder Media product for increasing student education in social arithmetic material. The results of the research were obtained from the validation results of material experts getting a mean of 4.21, media experts getting a mean of 4.33, edupreneurship experts getting a mean of 4.71 and student responses through limited scale development trials with a mean score of 96%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the media is declared very suitable for use as a mathematics learning medium to support the mathematics learning process and increase edupreneurship, especially at SMPN 2 Kaliwungu Kudus.

Abstract

This research was conducted to look for geometric elements in the Astana Sultan Hadlirin Mosque building. This research took place at the Sultan Hadlirin Mosque, Mantingan Village, Tahunan District, Jepara, Central Java. This research uses qualitative research methods using an ethnographic approach. The data collected was carried out through the observation process, documentation process and interview process. Human instruments and field notes are the instruments used by researchers in this research. The data analysis carried out by the researcher was by shrinking/reducing the data, interpreting the data from the results of the data reduction, and finally presenting the data results. From this research, results showed that several ethnomathematics concepts were found in mosques in the form of geometric elements including blocks, tubes, cubes, prisms, rectangles, trapezoids, triangles, squares, hexagons and circles. The results of the research that has been carried out are geometric elements found in the Sultan Hadlirin Mantingan Mosque which can be used as a learning reference in understanding the concept of local cultural geometry.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether mathematical connection abilities can be improved through realistic mathematics learning. This type of research is classroom action research. The PTK model used is the Kemmis and Taggart model which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were students in class VIII.1 of SMP Negeri 2 Belopa in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 23 students. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle was held in 3 meetings. There were two research instruments used, namely a mathematical connection ability test sheet and an observation sheet of student and teacher activities. The data collection techniques used are test, observation and documentation techniques. The data used in this research was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the observations were analyzed qualitatively, while for quantitative analysis descriptive analysis was used consisting of the calculated average (mean), maximum value and minimum value obtained by students in each cycle. The research results showed that the average score of students after implementing realistic mathematics learning in cycle I was that their mathematical connection ability was in the very poor category, namely 30%, while in cycle II, students' mathematical connection ability was in the very good category, namely 91%. The results of observing student activities in cycle I were 59% in the sufficient category, while in cycle II it increased to 88% in the very good category. The results of learning management observations in cycle I were 75% in the good category and in cycle II it increased to 85% in the very good category. So it can be concluded that mathematical connection abilities through realistic mathematics learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Belopa can be improved.

Abstract

Indonesia has a very large and diverse range of cultural diversity. Ethnomathematics has a very important role in introducing culture to students by studying the mathematical elements that exist in it. The purpose of the research is to explore the mathematical elements contained in Lampung tapis fabric. The method used in this research is literature review and descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it is found that Lampung tapis fabric contains mathematical elements in which students can learn mathematical materials such as flat shapes, geometric transformations and in this study examples of problems related to geometric shapes found in tapis fabric are presented.
