Abstract

The objective of this research is to assess the impact of independent variables, specifically demographic dividend utilizing dependency ratio data, the Human Development Index (HDI), and population growth, on the economic growth of districts and cities in East Java from 2010 to 2020. The research employed a quantitative methodology, utilizing secondary data sourced from the official website of BPS East Java Province.. The data analysis method uses panel data linear regression. The result shows that the demographic dividend variable, which uses data on dependency ratio, Human Development Index (HDI), and population grwoth, partially has a negaive and significant influence on district/city economic growth in East Java. Abstract

Abstract Small business problems are generally related to managerial skills or unprofessional management. This is because existing knowledge is very limited. These issues include capital, productivity, human resources, technology, competitiveness, innovation, and marketing issues. Another classic and very fundamental problem facing SMEs is their ability to compete with both small and large companies alike. The inability of SMEs to compete in both domestic and global markets is influenced by many factors. One is the lack of access and opportunity to market. Starting from these issues, the purpose of this study is to determine the central location of typical Maduranian snacks. I found that it was in From this we can conclude that Pamekasan is a very suitable place for Madura.typical snack SMEs compared to Sampang and Sumenep whose interaction value is lower than Pamekasan. Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine the effect of economic growth, minimum wage, and education on labor absorption in Banten Province in 2019-2023. The analysis was conducted using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results show that economic growth has a significant negative effect on labour absorption, while minimum wage has a negative but insignificant effect. In contrast, education has a positive and significant effect on labour absorption. The results also show that all independent variables in this study simultaneously have a significant effect on labour absorption.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices and the productive age population on labor absorption in Indonesia during the demographic bonus era. The demographic bonus is a period where the productive age population is larger than the non-productive population, offering opportunities to increase economic growth through higher employment absorption. Using secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and various panel data regression analysis methods, this study finds that GRDP and the productive age population significantly influence labor absorption in Indonesia. These results highlight the importance of policies that support job creation to fully capitalize on the potential of the demographic bonus. Abstract

Poverty and unemployment are two main issues that are interrelated in Indonesia's economic development, especially in Central Java Province. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Human Development Index (HDI), Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK), and GRDP on the Open Unemployment Rate in Central Java Province 2019-2023. The data used includes secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Central Java Province. The research method used is a quantitative method with panel data regression analysis. This study uses EViews 12 as a statistical tool in testing the selection of models between FEM, CEM, and REM to testing the hypothesis. The results of this study reveal that the HDI, UMK, and GRDP variables have a significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate in Central Java Province 2019-2023. Meanwhile, the TPAK variable does not have a significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate in Central Java Province 2019-223. Meanwhile, the variables of HDI, UMK, PDRB, and TPAK have a significant influence and simultaneously on the Open Unemployment Rate in Central Java Province 2019-2023.

Abstract

A high population is a potential source of economic development, but if it is not balanced with job opportunities it will lead to unemployment. This research aims to look at the influence of population, education level, minimum salary on the level of open poverty in East Java 2019 - 2023. This research using a quantitative approach using panel regression analysis methods using the fixed effect model (FEM). The results show that: Through a partial test, population has a positive or insignificant effect on the level of open poverty, education level has a negative and insignificant effect on the level of open poverty, and the minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on open poverty in East Java in 2019 - 2023. Meanwhile Simultaneous tests show that population, education level and salary simultaneously influence the level of open poverty in East Java in 2019 – 2023.

Abstract

The welfare of society, represented by human development, is influenced by various factors, primarily health and economic conditions. This study examines the effect of life expectancy (LE) and economic growth on the Human Development Index (HDI) in ASEAN during the 2012–2021 period. The data were sourced from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) website. Panel data regression analysis was employed in this research. The findings indicate that LE has a partially significant positive effect on HDI, while the economic growth variable has a partially significant negative effect on HDI. Both LE and economic growth variables jointly have a significant effect on HDI. The coefficient of determination reveals that 86.60% of the variations in HDI can be explained by the independent variables, while the remaining 13.40% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

Increased economic growth is influenced by increased exports and imports, especially in the era of globalization. However, there are trade policies that can harm the national economy. Therefore, this research aims to determine the influence of exports and imports on Indonesia's economic growth for the 2014-2023 period. This research uses a quantitative approach with annual time series data taken using documentation techniques. In addition, multiple linear regression analysis techniques were used in this research to see the influence of export and import variables on Indonesia's economic growth. The results of this research are that exports have a significant negative effect on Indonesia's economic growth. Meanwhile, imports influence Indonesia's economic growth in a significantly positive way.

Abstract

The Unemployment is one of the issues for countries with large populations like Indonesia. This study aims to examine the influence of the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR), Human Development Index (HDI), and Regional Minimum Wage (RMW) on the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in 8 regencies/cities in Banten Province from 2019-2023. The research employs multiple linear regression analysis with panel data. The result indicate that all three variables have a simultaneous effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR). Additionally, Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) does not have an effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR). In contrast, the Human Development Index (HDI) has a significant negative effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR). Meanwhile, the Regional Minimum Wage (RMW) has a significant positive effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR).
