Abstract

Nipah virus (NiV) is a virus that can be transmitted. This journal discusses the use of optimal control strategies to minimize populations or individuals infected with the NiV virus. We developed a mathematical model for the spread of Nipah vision (NiV) with two control strategies, namely community awareness and treatment. The aim of this study is to minimize the number of infected individuals and to reduce the costs required to create awareness and treatment at set time intervals. To achieve this goal the authors use the Pontryagin Maximum Principle (PMP) method. To see the effectiveness of using the optimal control strategy, the authors use the Runge Kutta Order 4 method (RK 4: Forward & Backward). The results of the simulation show that using two controls (public awareness and treatment) can optimally reduce the number of individuals infected with Nipah virus (NiV). Abstract

Coffee skin is part of the coffee fruit which is on the outer layer. Coffee skin waste is mostly wasted without any initiative from the community to be reprocessed. If left too long in the ground this coffee skin will cause soil pollution. However, it turns out that this coffee skin can be used as organic liquid fertilizer. Coffee skin has a lot of nutrients in it. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of coffee skin in the manufacture of organic liquid fertilizer. The independent variable in this study was coffee skin, namely dry coffee skin. The dependent variable in this study is the quality of organic liquid fertilizer. While the control variables in this study were the influence of the soaking/fermentation time of the coffee skins for a period of 2 weeks, the influence of the temperature and humidity of the place and the influence of the characteristics of the coffee skins, namely the dry coffee skin and the Robusta type. The use of dry coffee skin is because coffee skin has a high nutrient content, so that plants that are given this liquid fertilizer thrive. The results showed that plants that were given this liquid fertilizer could thrive and grow faster than the use of other fertilizers. Keywords: Coffee skin, liquid fertilizer, organic

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a tropical climate. So that the soil conditions are fertile and many kinds of plants grow. As for some plants whose utilization has not been maximized including banana and soybean fronds. Many people underestimate the banana fronds. In fact, when traced a lot of content that is in it. Meanwhile, if soybeans are used to make tofu, the dregs will just be thrown away. Even though the protein content in it can nourish plants. Not only the diversity of plants, Indonesia is also rich in livestock. Chickens are usually used for meat, feathers and eggs. Most of the use of eggs is for food. However, the use of waste is rarely used, namely egg shells. Egg shells contain good nutrition for plant growth. The tofu dregs of banana fronds and egg shells contain nutrients including calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and amino acids which can help plant growth. On the other hand, the agricultural sector has increased quite rapidly. This causes an increase in fertilizer to help plant growth, one of which is chili. Farmers usually use chemical fertilizers regardless of the negative impact on crop yields or the surrounding environment in the future. Therefore, innovation is needed to utilize tofu waste, banana stems and egg shells to be used as organic fertilizer that is safer to use in the future. above, the authors hope to channel an idea to create alternatives from tofu dregs, banana fronds and egg shells to be used as liquid and solid organic fertilizers to help agriculture and save the environment in the future. Keywords: Banana Stems, Egg Shells, Tofu Dregs.

Abstract

The large number of wound medicines that contain various kinds of chemicals that have side effects at high prices has caused people to think twice about using these drugs. The leaves of the binahong plant contain flavonoids which function to prevent microbial growth and contain saponins which function to stimulate the formation of collagen, a protein that plays a role in wound healing. Binahong plants are easily available and abundant in natural, so there is a need for research on the leaves of the binahong plant as a medicine for open wounds. The process of healing open wounds uses binahong ointment and two other wound medicines as a comparison, namely betadine and sulfanilamit powder. Wound healing using betadine by dripping betadine into open wounds. While the wound healing process uses binahong leaf ointment by processing binahong leaves into ointment. Then apply the processed binahong leaf ointment to the open wound. And the healing process uses sulfanilamine powder by sprinkling it on the open wound. The stages of wound healing include inflammation or inflammation, proliferation, namely cell regeneration, and termination. Open wounds will heal quickly if given substances that inhibit bacterial growth and can stimulate the formation of collagen, namely flavonoids and saponins. After obtaining data from the results of a comparison between healing open wounds with betadine, binahong ointment and sulfanilamit powder, the data were then analyzed. Using betadine, wounds can heal for 5 days, using binahong ointment can heal for 4 days, and using sulfanilamine powder can heal for 6 days. Binahong leaf ointment heals faster than betadine and sulfanilamit powder, because binahong leaf ointment contains flavonoids and saponins. In addition, at an affordable price, you can get an ointment with a larger volume compared to other wound medicines. After conducting research, it can be concluded that binahong leaf ointment is feasible to be used as an effective alternative medicine for open wounds. Abstract

Social support from parents can be an important protective factor in dealing with children's psychological challenges. The purpose of this article is to examine the role of parental social support in helping children overcome the mental health challenges they face. Qualitative and quantitative approaches were used in collecting and analyzing information from various literatures and journals on the subject. The findings in this journal suggest that parental social support, whether emotional, instrumental or informational, can play an important role in helping children overcome psychological challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression and behavioral problems. Good parental social support can provide protection and reduce the negative impact of mental health challenges on children. It can also increase children's resilience in the face of mental health challenges, help them develop social skills, improve adaptability, and improve the quality of the parent-child relationship. However, the role of parental social support can also be influenced by contextual factors such as culture, social environment and individual factors. Therefore, it is important for parents, practitioners and policy makers to understand the importance of social support in addressing children's mental health challenges and implement appropriate strategies to improve parental social support. This journal aims to be a reference for researchers and practitioners in psychology and other related fields to understand the important role of parental social support as a protective factor in dealing with mental health challenges in children. In addition, we hope that this magazine can make a meaningful contribution to improving the quality of life of children and families. Keywords: Social support, parents, protective factors, psychological challenges, children.
