NEOLOGIA: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a peer-reviewed scientific open access journal, with e-ISSN 2829-9612 and p-ISSN 2087-2496. It has been published by the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature, Faculty of Language and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar. NEOLOGIA is published since 2010. NEOLOGIA is issued semiannually: in February and Auguts. NEOLOGIA publishes manuscripts on research in linguistics and literature. NEOLOGIA features research novelties and significance for scientific advancement in one of the fields of the published manuscripts. This journal welcomes submissions from around the world as well as from Indonesia. Manuscripts published include but are not limited to the following. Linguistics; phonology, morphology, syntax, discourse analysis, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and critical discourse analysis. Literature: local literature studies, Indonesian literature, foreign literature studies, children literature, literature studies for character education, and other literary studies. The editorial board would like to receive manuscripts submitted via the online submission system. Make sure that the manuscripts meet the scope and submission guidelines of the journal. Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of early childhood vocabulary in the utilization of smatrphones and electronic toys as a media for language acquisition. This type of research is qualitative. The data of this research is in the form words derived from the utilization of thes media. The data source of this research is children aged 4-6 years who are sitting ini Kartika XX-12 Kindergarten, Parepare City. The approach used is Noam Chomsky’s Psycholinguistics. The results of this study show that there arenfour types of word categories obtained by children in the use smartphones and electronic games as media for their language acquisition consisting of nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze discrimination in the text of the novel entitled Children of All Nations by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. This research is descriptive-qualitative in nature. This research data consists of quotes, words, phrases, and sentences that contain forms of discrimination. The data source for this research is the novel Children of All Nations by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The research results show that there are three structures in the text, according to Van Dijk: superstructure, macrostructure, and microstructure.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the form of transitivity in the short story collection A Pair of Old Shoes by Sapardi Djoko Damono. This research uses qualitative research by applying descriptive methods. The results of the research show that the short story A Pair of Old Shoes uses six forms of transitivity, namely six processes and the most dominant form of transitivity used is mental transitivity. Based on the use of mental processes, the short story A Pair of Old Shoes invites readers to participate in feeling, seeing, imagining and thinking about the events and actions experienced and accepted by the characters in the short story

Abstract

In language studies there are studies that function to understand language in its use. This intends to help listeners and readers to understand the implied meaning in a text, especially in critical discourse studies. Teum A. Van Dijk divides the function of language into four namely ideology, domination, power, influence. The object of study in this analysis is a video entitled "Najwa's notes with Maudy Ayunda" on the Najwa Shihab Youtube Channel. From the results of the macro structure analysis on the use of the word modality, the data for the word modality wants is 1, the word modality wants is 1, the word modality must be 1, the word modality will be 1, the word modality can be 3.

Abstract

Family Conflict in the Novel Lilin by Saniyyah Putri (Abraham Maslow's Psychological Study) This study aims to describe the relationship between family conflict and the non-fulfillment of the hierarchy of human needs contained in the novel being analyzed. This type of research is qualitative. The research data are in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs that reveal the contents of the story in the novel. The data source for this research is the novel Lilin by Saniyyah Putri, which was published in 2020. The approach used is the psychological study of Abraham Maslow. The results of this study indicate that there are two types of conflict found: conflicts according to Abraham Maslow's theory and conflicts that occur between members. This study also found three basic needs that were not met, namely physiological needs, safety needs, and needs for love and affection. Besides that, there were also two basic needs that were barely met, namely the need for self-esteem and the need for self-actualization, causing conflict. in Elena's family.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the form of opposition in the novel Pusaran Amuk by Zaky Yamani with three processes, namely opposition, transposition and transformation. Of these three processes, only the opposition process is used. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research because the data used in this research is in the form of quotations of words, texts, phrases, sentences or paragraphs and does not prioritize numbers. Qualitative methods are used to explore and understand the meaning that comes from social problems and cultural elements in general. The results of the research show the impact of opposition from one person or group to another in the novel Pusaran Amuk. The novel Pusaran Amuk is a legitimization and desacralization of the concept of power.

Abstract

The research design used is descriptive. This type of research is qualitative. The research data is the text of the novel Romansa 2 Benua by Pipiet Senja, page number 223, published in 2015. The techniques used are documentation, reading, and note-taking techniques. The findings from the results of this study are frustration, conflict, and threats. And the way to recover is to use a humanistic psychological approach with a motivational approach.

Abstract

Research on Diction Games and Image Condensation in Islamic Poetry by Taufik Ismail. The research is descriptive qualitative in nature. The data source for this research is Islamic poetry by Taufik Ismail with the five best Islamic poetry titles by Taufik Imail. The title of the poem is Prophet Muhammad SAW, Prayer, Longing for the Apostle, Long Sajadah, Rasulullah Tells Us. This research data is in the form of definition, connotation, general words, specific words, abstract words, concrete words, lexical words, slang words, jargon, scientific words, loanwords, popular words. and image condensation in the form of visual images, auditive images, tactile images, and movement images. Abstract

Tujuan pada penelitian ini ialah menganalisis strategi kesantunan yang digunakan dalam interaksi program acara TV Dahsyat RCTI. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa tuturan, kata-kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang mengandung strategi kesantunan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah video yang berasal dari Channel Youtube RCTI Entertainment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga strategi kesantunan, yaitu strategi kesantunan negatif, strategi kesantunan positif dan strategi kesantunan terus terang. Strategi yang paling sering diterapkan dalam acara TV Dahsyat ialah strategi kesantunan positif dan strategi kesantunan terus terang.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of implicatures and presuppositions found in the films analyzed. This type of research is qualitative. The data in this research is in the form of dialogue spoken by the actors. The data source for this research is the script and film Mencuri Raden Saleh by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. The results of this research show that the use of implicatures found are conventional implicatures and non-conventional implicatures. In the use of presuppositions, structural, lexical, nonfactive and factual presuppositions were found.
