Abstract

Physics education at the junior high school level is often faced withdifficulties in approaching students with abstract concepts. Project-basedlearning modules are considered a contextual and relevant approach toeveryday life, allowing students to learn actively through project activities. Thisresearch uses the natural observation method involving physics teachers andstudents of SMPN 4 Metro. The natural observation method in itsimplementation uses observation sheet instruments and interview sheets. This article optimizes the concept of optimizing the project-based learningmodule which is used as an effective strategy in helping understand conceptsin physics learning at SMPN 4 Metro. The results of the literature review showthat students' understanding of physics concepts will increase and beeffective if physics learning uses project-based modules. This needs to beoptimized in its application to learning as a learning resource. So there is aneed for further studies and research regarding the effectiveness andimplementation of modules and projects in physics learning.

Abstract

Coffee is one of Indonesia's export commodities which has an important role ineconomic growth in Indonesia. Coffee production from 2020 to 2022 will experiencefluctuations. As for the causes of errors in post-harvest that are not appropriate to obtaingood quality coffee beans, post-harvest handling is needed by carrying out the sortingprocess, washing process, drying process and roasting process. The ADDIE method isused in developing this tool, including: Analysis stage, analyzing the need to develop aproduct and analyzing the feasibility and requirements for product development, Designstage, designing and designing a product. Development stage, development of productdesign. Implementation stage, realizing the design of a development product, testing theproduct developed in learning. Evaluation stage, evaluating the results of the productdeveloped and its application in the classroom. Validation data from three media expertson the props developed obtained an average percentage of 91.8%, meaning that they arevery suitable for use as props. And the validation results from three material experts on thetools and practice manual obtained an average percentage of 85.92%, which means it isvery suitable for use as a practice guide for teaching aids. Based on the average valuefrom the validation of media experts and material experts, the coffee bean sorting teachingaid shows that the criteria obtained are very feasible and the results of student responsesget a value with very practical criteria for use as a learning medium. The choice of materialsand design in making practical equipment has been taken into account, apart from usingmaterials that are not easily damaged, the shape is also made simple.

Abstract

Differentiated teaching modules are designed to provide learningexperiences that are more appropriate to students' learning styles and focus onstudent-centered learning. Therefore, students with different interests andtalents can obtain learning material in the same class but in different ways, oneof which can be identified by looking at the learning style of each student. Theaim of this research is to determine the level of feasibility and user response toteaching modules to assist differentiated learning in sound wave material. Thistype of research is descriptive quantitative with the development model used isADDIE, which involves five stages: Analysis, Design, Development,Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used were interview sheetsand assessment questionnaires in the form of validation from media experts, material experts, summative tests and user responses. Researchers used theresults of assessment questionnaires and interviews to make it easier to drawconclusions. Based on the analysis results, the average percentage value ofthe three validations is 86.2%. The teaching module developed is very worthyof the valid category. The results of responses from users of the teachingmodule for learning differentiation of sound wave material from physics subjecteducators at SMA Negeri 1 Batanghari, SMA Negeri 1 Metro, and MAMuhammadiyah Metro obtained an average percentage score of 88.1% with thecriteria "very good".

Abstract

Practical activities will make students excited about learning so that cognitive abilities will be good. Practical activities make it easier for teachers to make abstract learning realistic and students will be in a pleasant learning condition. In minimizing abstract concepts in physics learning into real concepts, then one of the materials that can be found in everyday life is elasticity. This study aims to determine the effect of practicum activities on students' cognitive abilities after using elasticity practicum tools. The type of research used is quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Metro. The sampling technique used simple random sampling, obtained XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 4 classes as research samples. The instrument used to determine the cognitive abilities of students is a test question. The results of hypothesis testing measured using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test nonparametric test showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05 so that H0 was rejected. The results showed that there was an effect of practicum activities on students' cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to measure the effectiveness of the Min-min Solution method in optimizing student learning outcomes in temperature conversion material. The research was carried out using an experimental approach, through collecting data from Pre-Test and Post-Test questions. Based on analysis of value data using the Paired T Test, a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 was obtained, which means it is smaller than ½ α (0.025). This illustrates a significant change in the Pre-Test and Post-Test scores. These results mean that the Min-min Solution method has a positive influence on improving Post-Test results. Therefore, it is concluded that the application of the Min-min Solution method is effective in optimizing the physics learning outcomes of class IX students at SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Surabaya.
