Abstract

Learning to write is one of the fundamental aspects in developing language skills. By learning to write effective poetry, students can improve their ability to express ideas better in written form. The use of word card media in learning to write poetry can overcome problems that occur during learning because word card media can increase students’ creativity in writing so that students are able to express their imagination and feelings into poetry. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study was all 26 class IV students at SDN Sirnagalih. For the research sample, the control group consisted of 13 students, and the experimental group consisted of 13 students. With a sampling technique using simple random sampling. Based on the research results, the data in this study is normally distributed and homogeneous with a data normality significance level of 0.827 > 0.05 and a data homogeneity significance level of 0.846 > 0.05. Hypothesis testing in this research uses the independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the significance value obtained was 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of picture card media on the poetry writing ability of grade IV students at SDN Sirnagalih.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the issues of modernity and gender equality raised in Indonesian muslim literature, specifically in the novels Tenggelamnya Kapal van der Wijck by Hamka and Para Priyayi by Umar Khayam. This research applies a descriptive qualitative methodology. The issue of gender inequality is particularly highlighted in the novel Tenggelamnya Kapal van der Wijck, as exemplified by the character of Hayati. Discrimination against women is depicted in the novel Tenggelamnya Kapal van der Wijck. Umar Khayam's Para Priyayi explores the contemporary manifestation of traditionalism in Indonesian religious practice, particularly within the context of Javanese Muslim society. The synthesis of Javanese tradition and modernity in Para Priyayi represents a contemporary phenomenon.

Abstract

This article analyzes the application of gamification methods that are used as an effort to improve the short story writing skills of class XI students of SMK Islam Darussalam. Gamification is a learning method that involves game elements such as leaderboards, points, challenges, and prizes in learning, which are proven to be able to create interesting and interactive learning. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. This approach is used because it allows researchers to gain a deep understanding of the phenomenon being studied in a real context. This study shows that the gamification method can improve students' writing skills, because its application can create active and enjoyable learning. The thing that must be considered in implementing this method is the right strategy, because with the right strategy gamification has the potential to create dynamic and student-centered learning, thus helping students improve their skills, especially short story writing skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe social conflicts in the poem "Mata Luka Sengkon Karta" by Peri Sandi Huizche. The poem narrates the events surrounding the G30S-PKI incident and the aftermath of the ensuing bloodshed, which led to oppression and injustice experienced by the lower-class society, specifically the lives of Bojongsari farmers. These farmers, Sengkon and Karta, were falsely accused of murder and robbery despite being innocent.The research method employed in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach, where the data presented consists of words rather than numbers. The findings of this study reveal the social conflicts depicted in the poem "Mata Luka Sengkon Karta" by Peri Sandi Huizche, which include poverty, political leadership transitions, murder, oppression, and injustice. Additionally, the results of this analysis can serve as teaching material for prose lessons in schools.

Abstract

The value of tolerance is part of the norms that exist in society in terms of religion, culture, language and nation. An attitude of tolerance is very much needed in social life as a unifier of differences because the existence of differences will give rise to diversity in a person's results, thoughts and insights. The research method in this study is descriptive qualitative with the data source being the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Europa. Collecting data by (1) Reading the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Europe by paying close attention to each meaning conveyed by the author. (2) Looking for text quotes that match the value of tolerance. (3) Analyzing the data results by identifying parts relating to inter-ethnic tolerance contained in the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Europa. (4) Analyzing the relevance of the value of tolerance contained in the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit The sky of Europe by learning Indonesian in high school. (5) Summarize the results of the analysis of the novel. The results of the analysis show that the values ​​of tolerance contained in the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Europa are intercultural tolerance, language tolerance and religious tolerance. Then this novel is relevant to class XII Indonesian language learning at KD 3. menganalisis isi dan kebahasaan novel.

Abstract

The millennial generation is a generation that is always side by side with technology. The existence of the millennial generation in social media has given birth to creative linguistic products in the form of slang. This study aims to describe (1) the use of slang on Instagram social media, (2) the development of slang language on Instagram social media, (3) the form of millennial generation creative linguistic products on Instagram social media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data sources used are primary sources in the form of posts and comments from the millennial generation on Instagram social media and secondary data sources in the form of supporting literature. The data collection uses documentation techniques. This study uses descriptive data analysis techniques through four stages of analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that slang is often used by the millennial generation in communicating on their social media. Slang has also continued to develop since the 1980's until now. Creative linguistic forms of millennial generation slang include normal words, reduction words, guardian words, abbreviations, and acronyms.

Abstract

One method that lecturers can apply to improve students' communication skills is the drill method. The drill method is a practical exercise that must be done repeatedly by students to gain knowledge and public speaking skills so that a person's speech becomes less rigid, fluent and structured. This research is included in qualitative descriptive research with research subjects, namely Indonesian Tadris students. To collect data, researchers used observation and documentation guidelines. The process of implementing the drill method in the rhetorical abilities of students in the Indonesian Tadris Study Program at IAIN Madura has gone well. This method is applied in stages 1) goal setting, 2) explanation of instructions, 3) precision, 4) practice, 5) evaluation, and 6) repetition. The application of the training method to Indonesian Language Tadris students at IAIN Madura is very good, not only improving speaking skills, but also increasing students' confidence in speaking in public in various communication contexts.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning that keeps up with the times can be realized through the use of internet-based technology media. Technology-based media will maximize the targets of Indonesian language learning. Many learning platforms can be applied in learning Indonesian, some are paid and some are free. One of the applications that can be used in learning Indonesian is Wordwall. In this study, Wordwall is applied in Indonesian language learning on the material of observation report texts in high school. The subjects of this research are 10th-grade students at SMAN 1 Pademawu. This research is in the form of classroom action research. The research results show that the students' success rate in mastering observation report texts at the pre-cycle stage was 42.8%, at the cycle I stage was 64%, and at the cycle II stage was 85.7%. This indicates an increase in the graph of students' mastery of observation report text material after using Wordwall as a learning medium. There are still several obstacles in the use of that media, namely network issues and students' concentration not yet improving to the maximum.

Abstract

The purpose of learning Indonesian is to hone students' language skills. One of the things that is developed is the skill of writing scientific articles. In practice, there are still many errors in students' scientific article work. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the misuse of the Indonesian language in scientific articles of students of Al Khoiriyah Sumbergempol High School. The data source of this research is 34 articles by students. The data collection technique used in this study is a documentary study technique and is assisted by an instrument in the form of a data recording card. The analysis of research data includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of data analysis found two categories of errors, namely errors in the use of spelling and errors in the preparation of the structure of scientific articles. Writing errors include mistakes in the use of letters, use of words, use of punctuation, and writing terms/absorption of foreign languages. Structural errors include errors in the preparation of titles, abstracts, editorial sections, research results, and conclusion/closing sections. This is important to be a concern and a reflection material for future learning as well as prepare the skills of students who will continue their studies in higher education.

Abstract

With the proliferation of textbooks in circulation, both from government and especially private publishers, many inadequacies in these texts have been discovered, both in terms of language, content and presentation. This of course has an impact on students and educators in the teaching and learning process. Assessment and analysis of textbooks is an urgency in combing through inappropriate textbooks. The object studied is the companion textbook Kombi: Class X Indonesian Competency, exposition text material. textbook. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Assessment and analysis are based on indicators for each aspect with a score of 1-4 which is converted into a score of 1-100. The conclusion of the analysis results was that overall the six aspects assessed were, (1) synchronization between learning objectives flow (ATP), learning achievements (CP), materials, activities and learning assessments with a score of 91.7, (2) the truth of the material is in accordance with scientific principles with a score of 100, (3) strengthening the profile of pancasila with a score of 100, (4) presentation techniques with a score of 87.5, (5) linguistic aspects with a score of 100, (6) eligibility legality and norms are assessed based on surveys. Overall, it can be concluded that the textbooks analyzed in this research are suitable for use in the learning process. However, there needs to be improvements in the aspects of synchronization of ATP and CP, legal eligibility and norms, as well as presentation techniques so that the quality of the accompanying textbooks is even better.
