Abstract

The rapid growth of Indonesia's ice cream market, driven by changing consumer lifestyles and preferences, has intensified competition among brands. Mixue, a prominent Chinese ice cream and beverage chain, faces challenges in maintaining customer loyalty amidst rising competitors like AI Cha and Momoyo. Understanding how brand image and price perception influence purchase decisions, mediated by consumer trust, is critical for Mixue's strategic positioning. This study examines (1) the direct effects of brand image and price perception on trust and purchase decisions, and (2) the mediating role of trust in these relationships at Mixue Nusaloka BSD. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data from 100 respondents via on-site questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analyzed the relationships between variables, with validity (loading factors ≥ 0.70, AVE ≥ 0.50) and reliability (Cronbach’s alpha ≥ 0.70) confirmed. Brand image and price perception significantly enhance trust (β = 0.430 and 0.488, respectively) and directly influence purchase decisions (β = 0.325 and 0.353). Trust also positively affects purchase decisions (β = 0.288) and mediates the price-perception-to-purchase link, not the brand-image-to-purchase relationship. Mixue should prioritize strengthening brand image and competitive pricing to foster trust and drive purchases. Future research should expand samples across locations, incorporate variables like service quality, and use mixed methods to enhance generalizability. These insights offer actionable strategies for F&B brands in competitive markets.

Abstract

The Yogyakarta International Airport Project, valued at IDR 5.8 trillion, demands an exceptionally high daily supply of ready-mix concrete—approximately 7,000 m³—within a tight timeframe of only eight effective months. Given that concrete work constitutes 20% of the total project value, an efficient and reliable supply chain becomes essential. This research aims to simulate and analyze supply chain management (SCM) strategies specifically for the procurement of ready-mix concrete, with the objective of identifying the most efficient supply pattern to ensure both quality and timely delivery. Using production capacity analysis and SCM simulation, the study reveals that existing batching plants on and around the site can only meet a daily capacity of 5,272 m³. To bridge the gap, a self-managed batching system is proposed, which involves establishing three new batching plants at the project site, each with a 1,000 m³/day capacity, while centralizing raw material procurement under the project team for quality control. The simulation results show that the self-management model is more cost-effective, reducing the price of ready-mix concrete from IDR 936,833.00 to IDR 895,392.00 per m³, yielding a cost efficiency of IDR 41,441.00 per m³. These findings highlight the importance of SCM optimization and self-management strategies in large-scale infrastructure projects for enhanced cost and quality control.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) at Hospital X using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to understand the factors influencing medical staff's acceptance and use of the system. The objective of this research is to analyze the use of EMR at Hospital X, focusing on how healthcare professionals and administrative staff utilize this technology in their work. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of EMR implementation, identify factors affecting EMR usage, and determine the extent to which the technology supports work efficiency and healthcare services. Additionally, the study seeks to provide strategic recommendations for hospital management to enhance EMR utilization, address existing challenges, and ensure the technology positively impacts individual and organizational performance overall. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, and data analysis was performed with Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were gathered through an online survey and analyzed using SmartPLS 4 software. The analysis results indicate that Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU) significantly influence user attitudes and intentions. Although EMRs can improve efficiency and reduce medical errors, challenges such as user resistance and system integration issues persist. This study highlights the importance of enhancing ease of use and perceived benefits, as well as creating a positive user experience to boost technology adoption. The findings provide insights into effective strategies for adopting new technologies and improving the success of EMR implementation in the healthcare sector.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the dynamics of YouTube user interaction in the comment column during the football match between the Indonesian U23 National Team and Guinea U23, which took place on May 9, 2024, in Claire Fontaine, Paris. The issue is focused on how comments that appear within the network evoke a sense of ethnocentrism and how key actors influence the spread of racist comments. To approach this problem, a theoretical reference from Social Network Analysis (SNA) is used, which is used to map the network structure and identify the position of actors based on measures of centrality, such as degree, betweenness, closeness, and eigenvector centrality. Data was collected through commentary documentation from the RCTI+ YouTube channel and qualitatively analyzed with the help of @andri_siddhartagautamma and @nido2102, who play a central role in the distribution of information and facilitating the spread of racist comments. The dominant network structure is in the form of a wheel model, which shows the concentration of communication at several key nodes. This study recommends the development of a digital moderation system and the improvement of digital literacy as a strategic step to create a healthier and more inclusive discussion space on social media.

Abstract

The likelihood of addiction increases as more school-aged youngsters use smartphones. When faced with an uncomfortable circumstance or pressure, kids with poor self-efficacy frequently turn to their smartphones as a coping strategy to instill a sense of security. This study aimed to understand the relationship between mental health literacy and students' attitudes towards seeking professional psychological help. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling of 386 college students to fill out a questionnaire that assessed their mental health literacy and attitude towards seeking professional psychological help. The mean of mental health literacy score was 118 (SD=14.01) while the overall mean attitude towards seeking professional psychological help was 21 (SD=7.30). A correlation coefficient of r is found in statistical tests examining the relationship between the two variables. A significant correlation between the two variables is revealed by statistical testing (r=0.784, p=0.010). This study shows a significant correlation between mental health literacy and attitude towards seeking professional psychological help. Formulating strategies for education and promoting mental health services in higher education units is important.

Abstract

This study explores the complex push and pull factors driving illegal migration from Afghanistan and the reintegration challenges faced by returnees. While extensive literature addresses Afghan migration, there remains a significant research gap concerning how forced returnees navigate reintegration amid structural constraints and socio-political instability. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research draws on in-depth interviews with 45 returnees and key informants in Nangarhar province. Findings indicate that economic hardship, insecurity, and weak state capacity are primary push factors, while the illusion of opportunity and established diaspora networks act as pull factors. Reintegration is hindered by limited institutional support, lack of livelihood opportunities, and social stigmatization. This study contributes to the migration literature by elucidating how macro-structural and micro-level conditions intersect in shaping the migration-reintegration continuum. Policy implications include the need for tailored reintegration programs, locally grounded support structures, and bilateral cooperation to manage irregular migration flows. This study addresses the lack of empirical focus on the reintegration trajectories of forced Afghan returnees under illegal migration frameworks. Findings offer actionable insights for designing reintegration policies that are context-sensitive and sustainable.

Abstract

Delayed payments in construction projects remain a persistent issue that directly impacts subcontractor performance, causing project timelines, quality, and financial sustainability disruptions. Despite the critical role of subcontractors, empirical research analyzing the influence of owner and contractor financial management on subcontractor performance, particularly moderated by payment delays, is still limited in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the effects of owner and contractor financial management on subcontractor performance, while evaluating the moderating role of payment delays. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting primary data through questionnaires distributed to 34 respondents involved in construction projects across Java and Lampung. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that owner financial management significantly affects subcontractor performance, whereas contractor financial management shows no significant impact. Payment delays significantly moderate the relationship between contractor financial management and subcontractor performance, but have no significant moderating effect on the relationship with owner financial management. These findings highlight the necessity for robust financial management practices and timely payment processes to enhance subcontractor performance. The study offers practical implications for project stakeholders to develop better payment and financial strategies, thereby improving project efficiency and subcontractor sustainability.
