Abstract

In Indonesia, many local websites, such as Irama Nusantara, hold valuable information related to music and culture. Although rich in data, the utilization of this information is still limited. This research aims to utilize query expansion techniques through data mining methods in analyzing data from the Irama Nusantara website. Data was collected from the Irama Nusantara website through a crawling process, resulting in 5404 entries covering audio, images and text. The analysis was conducted using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques starting with the preprocessing stage. Next, the K-Means algorithm was applied for clustering, and the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method was used for term weighting. Classification models were built using Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naive Bayes for comparison. The analysis shows that the use of query expansion significantly improves the accuracy of information retrieval on the Irama Nusantara website. The method evaluation showed that SVM gave better results in terms of accuracy and precision compared to Naive Bayes. In addition, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) shows that 70-95% of the variance in the data can be explained by the resulting principal components, which signifies the efficiency of the applied method. This research not only provides a deeper insight into the patterns and trends in the analyzed data, but also contributes to the development of information technology in the field of culture in Indonesia. This research successfully developed an effective analysis model to utilize data from the Irama Nusantara website.

Abstract

Airplane accidents still occur frequently, one of which is caused by turbulence. To minimize the risk, an effective forecasting system is needed. This research focuses on developing a web-based dashboard for aircraft turbulence mitigation by considering factors such as convective cloud growth, Richardson number index, and wind shear. The dashboard was developed through four steps: requirement analysis, design, implementation, and verification. The Richardson number index (Ri) is calculated using a formula involving temperature and wind speed at different geopotential heights. Alert status is determined based on Ri values and other parameters, with three alert levels: 'Alert 1', 'Alert 2' and 'Alert 3'. The system provides alerts based on user input. If the cloud cover is less than 50%, the “Alert 1” status is displayed; if Ri < 0.25, the “Alert 2” status appears; and if the wind shear exceeds the threshold, the “Alert 3” status indicates that flights are prohibited. Pilot tests show that the system works well and the Ri calculation results are comparable to existing Richardson calculators. The dashboard allows users to access critical information related to turbulence and flight status in real-time, thereby improving flight safety. Timely alerts help in flight-related decision making. This research successfully developed a web-based dashboard for aircraft turbulence mitigation that works well. By monitoring convective cloud growth, Richardson number index, and wind shear, the system is able to provide relevant alerts to improve flight safety.

Abstract

Mini Hydro Power Plants (MHPs) utilize the potential of water to generate electrical energy. However, construction on clay soils that have the potential to expand and contract can affect the stability of the structure. This study aims to evaluate the potential for soil development in the Cileunca MHP. The methods used to determine soil development potential include Chen (1988), Skempton (1953), and Seeds (1962) methods. Mineral identification was conducted through X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) testing of soil samples taken by the handboring method. The results of the analysis showed that the Skempton method showed 67% of the samples had activity values > 0.75 (“high” category). The Chen method indicated 60% of the samples had a plasticity index (PI) > 35% (“very high” category). The Seeds method indicated 73% of the samples had a development potential > 25% (very high category). XRD testing indicated the dominant mineral was dehydrated Halloysite (Al2Si5(OH)4). The soil at the Cileunca MHP site has a high development potential that can damage building foundations. Foundation stability is strongly influenced by expansive soil properties, so soil stabilization treatment is needed to prevent structural damage. This study concludes that the soil at the Cileunca MHP site has a high development potential, which can cause structural problems. Therefore, soil stabilization treatment is highly recommended to ensure the stability of the building foundation

Abstract

Indonesian railway transportation service companies are constantly striving to improve service and facility optimization while increasing train passenger numbers. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of special fare tickets on train user decisions in order to boost passenger traffic and strengthen railways' role in the regional economy. This study examines price, time (length), and certainty opportunities as influences on the decision to acquire special fare tickets for public transportation trains. The study took a quantitative approach, with the questionnaire asking about Ability to Pay (ATP) and Willingness to Pay (WTP). Furthermore, the data was examined using multiple linear regressions to identify the impact of variables on consumer behavior. Overall, 54% of respondents can buy rail tickets at official pricing, including regular and special fares. 44% of respondents always purchase special price train tickets for long journeys and always take trains. Therefore, the resulting regression model is as follows: Y=3.115 - 0.49X1 + 0.042X2. The price variable shows a negative influence (-0.49), indicating that the greater the ticket price, the less likely someone will purchase a special fare train ticket. In contrast, the time variable has a positive effect, with a value of + 0.043, indicating that the longer the time given, the more likely someone will opt to buy.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a serious problem affecting public health and social stability in Indonesia. The criminal justice system often faces challenges in dealing with drug abuse cases, where the punitive approach often ignores the more humane aspects of rehabilitation. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation policies in the Indonesian criminal justice system related to drug abuse and identify the obstacles faced by judges in imposing rehabilitation punishment. The research method used is normative legal research, with a statutory approach to analyze various relevant laws and policies. Data was collected through literature study and document analysis. The results showed that there are several obstacles in the implementation of rehabilitation policy, including community stigma towards drug abusers, judges' lack of knowledge about the rehabilitation process, limited rehabilitation facilities, and legal uncertainty. The research also found that despite regulations supporting rehabilitation, practices in the field often favor imprisonment.  To improve the effectiveness of rehabilitation policies, it is important to provide education and training to judges, develop quality rehabilitation facilities, improve inter-agency coordination, and conduct campaigns to reduce social stigma. These measures are expected to shift the paradigm of handling drug abuse from a retributive to a rehabilitative approach, supporting individual recovery and reintegration into society.
