Abstract

The problem in this research is the in the basic sector in South Minahasa District and the potential sectors to be developed as a support for economic growth in South Minahasa District. The purpose of this study is to analyze the basic sector and potential sectors in South Minahasa district. The study lasted four months starting June 2016 until September 2016, started with the preparation period to the preparation of research studies. This study used secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sulawesi province and the Central Bureau of Statistics South Minahasa district. Analysis used LQ, Shift Share, and MRP. The Result shows that the base sector in the Domestic Regional Product Of South Minahasa District. There are four sectors Agriculture sector, Mining and Quarrying, Manufacturing Industry Sector, and the Construction Sector. Values shift share South Minahasa district likely to lead to an economy that will grow relatively slowly and did not have a competitive advantage, and There are two sectors of the value of MRP that stand out in North Sulawesi province and South Minahasa District the Construction Sector, and Health Services and Social Activity sectors. Manufacturing sector, and Administration Sector, Government, Defense and Compulsory Social Assurance. These sectors are expected to be a potential role in contributing to the growth in north Sulawesi province because These sectors are potential sector that can be developed in South Minahasa district.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to calculate the Break Even Point (BEP), which is an approach to analyze production volume planning and increasing business prospect. This research was carried out from June to July 2016. Data used in this research was primary data that obtained from interview and secondary data obtained from related agencies and journals to support this research. Data analysis used Break Even Point analysis, which is to analyze the business’s break even point in both rupiah and unit. KIBERTA farmer group has a directly Marketing channel with the buyers that directly come to KIBERTA’s greenhouse. Chrysanthemum stalk flower cultivation in this farmers carried out in one greenhouse per period in turns, by order with 6 weeks gap in planting between greenhouses and farmers harvesting once in three weeks with four total of greenhouses which is in size 10 x 25 m2, 20 x 25 m2, 8 x 14 m2, and 8 x 15 m2. This farmers sell Rp. 3000, - per stalk in all type and colors. The research result shows that from 100% which is planted only 70% were able to be harvest / within selling requirement and based on analysis results from table and graphs found out that KIBERTA farmers’ chrysanthemum stalk flower cultivation from revenue (Rupiah) and production (unit), exceed the Break Even Point and able to gain profits in all greenhouses *jnkd*.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop land use scenarios in District Mapanget using Agroecology Zone-based Geographic Information System (GIS). The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were collected through surveys and direct observations in the field. The activities carried out field surveys to obtain state information field through taking pictures with a digital camera. Analysis of social data and data on potential farming is also done through the compilation of data to map the District Mapanget. Furthermore biophysical data agro-ecological, social and agricultural potential of the data compiled in a database system was using Quantum GIS program version 1.8. This study found that the use of agricultural land to non-agricultural land in the district Mapanget very difficult to avoid due to the low value of land from the agricultural sector compared to other sectors. So based on the evaluation conducted by comparing the map with a map of the existing condition of the District RTRW 2014-2034 Mapanget then it changes the function of which is no longer appropriate region where the agricultural area have been converted into non-agricultural. In order for this condition continues to be bad for the environment and agriculture will require efforts in the management and development in the District Mapanget, among others, the development of urban agriculture, every development in Sub Mapanget should always refer to the scenario Land use and Spatial plan of the District Mapanget that there are both carried out by the government, private or public. Urban agriculture has an important role for urban communities that suggested the need for land use scenarios in District Mapanget. Based on agroecological zone map and a map of the District RTRW 2014-2034 Mapanget then be collated Mapanget the District land use scenarios are divided by 3 (three) scenarios that city Scenario, Scenario frame the city, urban-rural scenario. The existence of land / space urban agriculture plays an important role in agricultural production systems and maintain the quality of the environment, because it is a major determinant spacious RTH (green open space) and the results of urban agriculture. In addition, urban farming provides employment and a source of additional revenue as well as environmentally sustainable society.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the suitability of land for a certain class of agricultural crops, namely, vanilla, oil palm, coconut, cocoa, nutmeg and cloves and to determine the direction of the crop land use. The study used survey method and analysis is to compare with criteria data suitability of land for plantation crops. Based on the results obtained twenty eight overlay land units and land units nineteen taken as a sample. The results show the suitability of land in Bacan Island of South Halmahera District for commodity crop plantations vanilla, oil palm, coconut, nutmeg and cloves in a class of land suitability is quite suitable (S2), cocoa belongs to a class of land suitability is marginally suitable (S3) with limiting factor the relative humidity. Economic analysis for all commodities is very suitable for development and Bacan Island of South Halmahera Regency.

Abstract

The same opportunity to work in the informal sector to encourage farmers to make the decision to allocate the available workforce to be more efficient than that of bulk farm working hours also had a busy time and leisure time. The increased revenue adds the satisfaction level through the increase of consumption and leisure time. This research is to determine the contribution of informal sector income on household income Pinabetengan farmers in the Northern District of West Tompaso. This research was conducted in the village of North Pinabetengan, in June 2015 through December 2015. The data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data is data taken with direct interviews to farmers who have jobs in the informal economy. Secondary data is data taken from North Pinabetengan village office. The analysis has used in this study are presented in tabular form. The main commodities of farmers in the village are corn, beans, peanuts, rice and vegetables and spices. Farm income of farmers is the smallest Rp 600,000 and Rp 9,800,000 the greatest. The informal sectors has done such as motorcycle taxi, buggy, stalls, food stalls, craftsmen, traders, tailors, pitchman, garage, laundry worker. The lowest Income informal sector is Rp 500,000 and the highest is Rp 2,400,000. Results of the analysis showed that the contribution of the informal sector to household income of farmers amounted to 41.10 % with an average farm income in rural sub-district Tompaso Pinabetengan north west Rp . 1,600,833 / month , the average income of informal sector Rp . 1.177 million / month . Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of time allocation of women vegetable traders and their contribution to the household income. This research was conducted in Pinasungkulan Market, Karombasan, Manado for two month from June to July 2016. The primary data was collected from interviews with 15 women vegetable sellers who have a family. Secondary data were obtained from Sub-office Pinasungkulan Market. Data analysis was used descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that, in general, women vegetables traders in the Pinasungkulan Market have started selling vegetables after they were married. Because as wives, they realized that they have to support their husbands to earn money for a living because of their husband's income is not sufficient. Time allocation patterns of the woman vegetable seller shave used an average of 15 hours per day for all their activities. They are selling vegetables, domestic activities and others social activities. Their time allocation daily respectivley consists of sold vegetables activities spend on average 8.9 hours (59.40%), for households 2, 6 hours/day (17.30%) and for other activities such as watching television and attending worship and other social activities, an average of 3.5 hours (23.3%). The conclusion from this study that the pattern of time allocation by women vegetable vendors in the Market of Pinasungkulan, Karombasan, women spend more time on economic activities than from domestic activities. Women vegetable sellers have earned average income of IDR 4.400 million per month with a 59.27% ​​contribution to the family income. While their husband shave contributed to the family income is lower than the wife of 19.09% with an average income of  IDR 1.417 million per month. The contribution of other members of the household is income, especially children, are IDR 1.607 million per month (21.64%). Therefore, it can be concluded that women vegetables traders in Pinasungkulan Market are primary source of support for family.

Abstract

The aims of this reserch was analyzing the carrying capacity of the land based on food crops productivity in Panasen sub-watershed areas Minahasa regency, Analyzing land suitability clases for food crops development in Panasen sub-watershed areas Minahasa regency, Knowing the vast potential of land that could be used for food crops development in Panasen sub-watershed areas Minahasa regency and Mapping the land potential at scale of 1: 50,000 for food crops development in Panasen sub watershed areas Minahasa regency. The research method is a survey method, methods overlay is used to create a map of a group of land based on slope maps, land use maps and soil maps. Method of matching (match) is used to determine the grade of land suitability and potential land area of each crop. Statistic methodis used for the carrying capacyti of agriculture land analyzing. The results of the research show that are the carrying capacity of agricultural land is = 2.93. Rice equivalent is 2,93 x 265 kg/ person/year is 776, 45 kg of rice/person/year. Potential land for geared the development of food crops is a rice crops is 3095.10 ha which consists of land suitability classes S3wa₂rc₁ with total area of 1777.07 ha and class S3wa₂ with total area of 1.318.03 hectares. a maize crops is 1.961,14 ha which consists of land suitability classes S3wa₁ is 755,52 ha and class S3wa₁rc₁ with total area of 1205.62 ha. The limiting factor is the heaviest average rainfall of 2357.2 mm/year (wa₁), and soil texture is sandy loam/agak kasar (rc₁). a cassava crops is 1961,14 ha which consists of land suitability classes S2wa₁,₂ with total area of 755.52 ha and class S3tc with total area of 1205.62 ha. The limiting factor is the heaviest average rainfall of 2357.2 mm / year (wa₁), the number of consecutive dry months 1,41 months / years (wa₂), the average air temperature of 21.8 ° C (tc). a sweet potato crops is 1961,14 ha with land suitability classes S3wa₁. The limiting factor heaviest air humidity average of 90.62% (wa₁). All land groups in research location included in land suitability classes are not suitable (N) for the soybean crops development.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the Profile of the Soy Milk Industry Enterprises UD. Three Brothers in Sub-district of Tikala, Manado City, seen from the Organizational Structure, raw material procurement, production costs, marketing and profit. The research was conducted from preparation in June until the completion of the report in September 2016. This research was used primary data and secondary data. The primary data obtained through interviews using questionnaires to the owners of the soy milk industry UD Three Brothers in Sub-district of Tikala, Manado City. Primary data collected has studied and analyzed descriptively and presented in tabular form. The results showed that soy milk UD. Three Brothers is packaged in two packages, namely, bottles and packaging wrap. Soy milk is marketed to five places, namely, Freshmart, Golden, Market Karombasan, X.O and Noodle Medan 88, with the price for one bottle and a pack of Rp. 5000.- respectively. Industrial soy milk UD. Three Brothers survived until today because of their perseverance, patience and entrepreneurial spirit of the industry owners.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify elements in "Marketing Mix 4P" which applies to the marketing of durian at Boulevard Mall, Manado. This research was carried out for 2 months from April to May 2016. Data was retrieved through a survey consisting of primary and secondary data. Data was collected using a "purposive sampling" method, intentionally interviewing six respondents from fifteen respondents in the area of Boulevard Mall, Manado. There are four types of durians sold in Boulevard Mall: durian gajah, durian susu, durian mentega, and durian madu. Prices are relatively affordable and vary based on the type, with the highest price being durian gajah. The sale location in Boulevard Mall was selected by the sellers because it is within easy reach of the southern part of Manado and has a lively atmosphere. It is close to the beach, which is an ideal setting for relaxing while enjoying durian. Sellers promote their goods to consumers by offering an opportunity to bid prices, giving bonuses when consumers buy a certain amount, offering delivery services, and giving consumers the opportunity to taste test it for free.

Abstract

Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L) in the form of a tree with fruit that has skin hair resembles a fruit crop wooded meant in the family Sapindaceae. Talawaan village is a center of rambutan fruit producer in North Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted in January to April 2016 in the village Talawaan Talawaan District of North Minahasa regency. This study using purposive sampling technique using a sample of 15 people rambutan growers. Data collected consist of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the respondents farmers for the production of rambutan Talawaan village average per farmer as much as 1237.73 kg while the average production per tree as much as 78.51 kg with the average price per kilogram of rambutan Rp 6,000. Rambutan farm receipts on average per farmer Rp 7.4264 million while for the average receipts per tree Rp 471 060. Farm production costs to the cost of production per farmer Rp 228.374.33 while the cost of production per tree Rp 161.56.78, so revenues are reduced by the cost of production, the rambutan farm income to average per farmer Rp 7,198,025.67 while for earnings per tree Rp 454,904.63.
