Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the historical buildings in Medan. Historic buildings are buildings that have ornaments that are no longer used in new buildings today and have a history that was influential in the era when the building was built. Learning resources are anything that can be used to facilitate all learning activities individually or in combination and to help someone achieve the desired learning goals. The type of research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Efforts to create historical learning resources effectively and optimally are by utilizing learning resources around students. One of them is the use of the Maimun Palace Building and the Warenhuis Building which aims to strengthen students understanding of local history. Local historical events are very important to study, especially to get to know the nation. The environment around students contains evidence of historical events which can help teachers to develop students' understanding of the past and make students understand that history is not just a story, but is an event that really happened at that time.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the role of Islamic education in human life. while the method used in this research is qualitative, namely a scientific method that emphasizes collecting references. The importance of education is widely agreed upon by every element of society. Islamic education, which in its historical movement has always aimed at the progressivity and transformativeness of human life, so that its existence must also contain everything that humans need, not only has a pragmatic dimension, but also idealistic, not only profane, but also sacred, and not only full of content. knowledge, but also morals. The essence of Islamic education is carried out as an effort towards changes in behavior that are "better", and necessitates changes as desired, in accordance with the goals outlined by an educational institution. Changes intended by an educational institution. The changes in question can have nuances in the progress of humanity, both in the context of one's relationship with society, nature and God. The meaning of physical and spiritual education is very important, whether seen from the education system, educational environment, educational social interaction, educational access, educational facilities.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of Willem Iskandar (Sati Nasution) in the development of education in North Sumatra in the 19th century. Willem Iskandar is known as a visionary educator who founded Kweekschool Tano Bato, the first educational institution for teachers in Mandailing in 1862. With the support of the Dutch authorities and the local community, he played a crucial role in establishing a strong educational foundation in the region. Besides being an educator, Willem Iskandar was also active as a translator, bringing Western literature to the Mandailing community through translations of important works and original writings in Mandailing and Malay languages. His intellectual legacy not only enriched the intellectual life of the Mandailing community at that time but also demonstrated his significant role in the history of education in North Sumatra. This study employs historical approaches and literary analysis to explain the impact of his contributions to the development of education and literacy in the region. Thus, this research provides a comprehensive overview of Willem Iskandar's role in advancing education in North Sumatra in the 19th century.

Abstract

Rausyan Fikr is a research institution that operates in the field of philosophy, particularly Islamic philosophy. Established by Romy Fibri and colleagues in 1995, Rausyan Fikr aims to enlighten students from various campuses. The name Rausyan Fikr itself is derived from Ali Syariati's concept, which refers to an intellectual who achieves enlightenment. The focus on philosophical studies responds to the intellectual fluctuations among students torn between Islamic and Western thought. Additionally, Rausyan Fikr houses a library and has branches for study, such as the Muthahhari Student Islamic Boarding School (PPM) and JAKFI (Islamic Philosophy Activist Network). This study is open to various groups, with increasing interest each year from students and academics in Islamic philosophy. The research methods employed are field studies and qualitative analysis. The theoretical frameworks used include social movements, social intellectuals, and their roles. The objective is to examine the influence of Islamic thought, particularly from Iranian thinkers, on academics and students in Indonesia, especially in Yogyakarta, near Kaliurang road.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of Islamic developments on the world of education in Indonesia from a historical perspective. Since the arrival of Islam to the archipelago in the 13th century, this religion has made a significant contribution to the formation of the education system in this region. Through madrasas, Islamic boarding schools and Islamic schools, Islamic teachings have been absorbed into the educational curriculum which includes religious, moral and general knowledge lessons. This research uses historical methods with a qualitative approach to analyze data from various primary and secondary sources, including manuscripts, historical documents and academic literature. The results of the study show that Islamic education not only plays a role in spreading religion, but also in forming the character, ethics and intellect of Indonesian society. Apart from that, the development of Islamic education also adapts to social and political dynamics, and contributes to the progress of national education in the modern era. These findings confirm that Islamic education has a strategic role in the formation of identity and the development of educational culture in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how to implement integrated quality management in developing religious culture at SMAS Ulumul Islam and the problems it faces. This research was conducted as a qualitative type of research and used a field research approach. The results of the research show that the implementation of integrated quality management in the development of religious culture at SMAS Ulumul Islam produces several results, such as: a) continuous improvement through regular meetings, support from foundations, and support from Islamic boarding schools, b) implementation of standards with full implementation of religious culture in schools and in everyday life, c) cultural change through the application of religious culture in every activity, religious culture schedule, and SMAS Ulumul Islam faces several challenges when implementing integrated quality management to develop religious culture. These include undisciplined students, lack of parental funds, inconsistent interest in learning, and changing boarding school rules.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the management of jurisprudence and aqidah in improving the quality of education at Dayah Salafiyah Sukma al-Mubarakah. Starting from learning planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling and evaluating learning. This research is a qualitative research. The research subjects were school principals, teachers and students. The research location is Sukma Al-Mubarakah Kunyet Mule High School which is located on Jln. Exxon Mobil at the intersection of Cut Mutia's house. Data collection methods in this research are interviews, observation and documentation as well as data analysis using data reduction and presentation techniques. The research results show that Sukma Al-Mubarakah Kunyet Mule High School has carried out learning activities like other high schools in Dayah, but the implementation is not optimal and still requires improvement and improvement in several ways. In the student aspect, better handling is needed, and more organized facilities are arranged. Facilities and infrastructure are the most important things to achieve good quality education. That's where things become obstacles in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how archive management improves the effectiveness of school administration at SMP IT Al-Markazul Islami Lhokseumawe. In addition, to determine the obstacles to archive management in improving the effectiveness of school administration at SMP IT Al-Markazul Islami Lhokseumawe. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data sources for this study consisted of 3 people at SMP IT Al-Markazul Islami Lhokseumawe, namely the Head of Administration and the two Administrative Staff. The data collection technique here uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis is carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that 1) archive management in improving the effectiveness of school administration is carried out through 5 stages; creation stage, management stage, use stage, maintenance stage and destruction stage. 2) there are three obstacles to archive management in improving the effectiveness of school administration, namely; facilities and infrastructure, human resources and school administration services. This study shows that archive management in improving the effectiveness of school administration at SMP IT Al-Markazul Islami Lhokseumawe has been implemented well and based on established principles, but everything is not free from obstacles in its archive management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explain the methods used in strengthening verses and hadiths in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject at the Tanjungbalai State Islamic Senior High School. In addition, it describes how to apply variations in methods in strengthening verses and hadiths in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject, and wants to know the supporting and inhibiting factors in applying variations in teacher methods in strengthening verses and hadiths. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive research method. So that the results obtained show that the methods used in strengthening verses and hadiths in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject are the lecture method, the lecture method plus picture and picture question and answer method, the discussion method, the demonstration method plus tailren method, the drill/exercise or memorization method, and the assignment method. While the teacher's method in applying the method in strengthening verses and hadiths is quite good when seen from the teacher first understanding the learning material, learning objectives, student characteristics, choosing the right method, applying several methods, and paying attention to student responses and providing evaluations/assessments. The supporting and inhibiting factors include the ability of educators, teacher factors, students, and media and completeness of the library. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are a lack of understanding of student characteristics and a lack of learning media facilities.

Abstract

The purpose of financial management is to obtain and seek opportunities for funding sources for school activities, in order to use funds effectively and not violate the rules, and create transparent and accountable financial reports. The focus of this study is: 1). Planning, 2). Implementation, 3). Evaluation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a type of field research using data collection techniques: 1). Observation, 2). Interviews, 3). Documentation. The researcher obtained conclusions from this study, namely: 1). Financial Management Planning at SMP Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe was carried out with a general meeting attended by all principals, treasurers, and education personnel at the school to discuss future planning, then the principal or teacher held a member meeting again which was carried out as a follow-up to the general meeting held. Implementation schedule, time of implementation, place of implementation, and source of funds. 2). Implementation of Financial Management at SMP Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe according to information from the principal, there have never been any violations, so that everything can run smoothly according to the plan that has been made. In this case, the role of the coordinator of each standard is very important, because they are the ones who know best what each standard requires and what activities must be carried out to achieve the management of educational financing in schools. 3). Evaluation of Financing Management at SMP Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe ensures an effective and efficient way of working that leads the organization to the use of educational resources (human or labor, facilities and infrastructure, costs) efficiently and economically. It aims to find what is right and what is wrong, and to use the results of the evaluation to improve performance in the future.
