Abstract

Nowadays, it has become a crucial task in transferring confidential data for military departments, many multinational companies, etc.  The important requirement is that the data that has been transmitted should not be visible to hackers or third parties from another end. To satisfy this requirement a wireless technology LoRa is used. Long-distance and low-power wireless communication technologies such as LoRa, Sigfox, and Narrowband-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) were developed in recent years. These technologies can contribute to indoor and outdoor smart applications with minimal power consumption. In this study, the LoRa wireless communication technique was used as the primary data communication method, enabling the device to communicate without requiring an Internet connection or a SIM card. This technology can be implemented in military and defense areas.

Abstract

The supply chain is an organization's place to distribute production goods and services to customers. This chain is a network of various organizations that are interrelated and have the aim of carrying out the procurement or supply of goods. Inventory is storing goods in the form of raw materials, semi-finished goods or finished goods that will be used in the production or distribution process. CV. Tre Jaya Perkasa is a company engaged in the distribution of goods such as snacks, drinks and daily necessities. CV. Tre Jaya Perkasa is located in Solok, West Sumatra, Indonesia. From January 2020 to June 2021, CV. Tre Jaya Perkasa has made more than 10 thousand transactions. Based on the sales data, each period (month) of sales transactions can increase and decrease, and the company must plan product sales in the coming period. To maximize profits and minimize losses, a strategy is needed to maintain the availability of goods that are often purchased by customers. From historical transaction data, the company can predict how much stock should be provided for transactions in the coming period. The method used is the moving average method, to measure the error rate of forecasting, MAD, MSE and MAPE are used. Based on the research that has been done, then carried out on the product Trick Potato Biscuit BBQ 24 BOX X 10X18 forecasting comparison between using 3 periods and 5 periods, using 5 product data that are most often purchased by buyers, it was found that the average value of MAD, MSE and MAPE closer to 0 is to use 3-period forecasting.

Abstract

The Smart Printing Management System is an online printing ordering system. The purpose of developing this system is to take online printing orders in a much more efficient way from the customer so that the customer does not have to wait for a long time at the shop to print up their stuff. The system also provides printing templates design for each category of printings so that the customer can customize their own printing designs before they upload their material to order. The system also will manage the daily printing sales record from the customer which is the daily printing sales report will be saved in the system so that the shop will have proper records of the customer's sales every day. They can also view the daily printing sales report in a graph form where it will be easier to evaluate their daily sales. Moreover, the system also will manage the product stock as well which is the system will display "low stock" for the quantity of the product stock is less than 10. So the shop can know which the specific number of the item is currently available for the customer to purchase. Moreover, the admin also can add and edit the product stock whenever needed. Furthermore, this system also helps the shop to avoid product overstock and outages. The methodology that use to develop this system is the waterfall model.

Abstract

Railway bridge Bangunan Hikmah (BH 39) Pariaman (Padang– Pariaman Route) is a new bridge. This new bridge was built because the old one could not accommodate the load of the additional locomotive. The railway bridge consists of two parts: the upper structure and the substructure. The substructure consists of abutments and foundations. When the abutment accepts considerable lateral ground pressure, so the stability of the abutment will be disturbed. To resolve the problem, the need exists to study abutment reinforcement with geotextile or additional foundation pile to raise the stability abutments on the Railway bridge Bangunan Hikmah (BH 39) Pariaman. The result of the loading on the upper structure is obtained. The total vertical force acting on the abutment is 6111,624 kN, and the horizontal load is 2849,689 kN. Abutment stability analysis is carried out in 3 stages (without reinforcement, with reinforcement geotextiles, and with existence foundation pile (bored pile). The results of the analysis show value safety factor minimum without Reinforcement (SF) is 1,29; this shows that the abutment is unstable because the safety factor obtained is < 1.5,  with reinforcement geotextile, the value of the safety factor minimum  (SF) is 1,66,  this indicates that the abutment is stable but still critical and the value of the safety factor (SF) minimum with bored pile foundations is 2,10.  Installation of a bored pile foundation (pile group) at a depth of 10m shows a significant increase in the value of the safety factor. In the BH 39 Kurai Taji Pariaman railway bridge project, it is recommended to use a pile group foundation with a depth of 10 m.

Abstract

Bismuth Ferrite (BiFeO3) is a single phase Fe- based multiferroic having Perovskite structure. It shows both ferroelectric and ferromagnetism simultaneously in the single material. But the magnetic order is very low due to complex antiferromagnetic order yielding small remnant magnetization. However, Magnetic property could be improved if BiFeO3 mixed with Ba5PrTi3V7O30 having TB-structure. Solid Solution (1-x)Ba5PrTi3V7O30-xBiFeO3 is prepared by using Solid State Reaction technique for different values of x. Pellets are calcined at 750  then sintered at 800 . Basic Crystal qualities and formation of single phase compound is confirmed by the XRD (X-Ray Diffractogram). The crystal structure is more or less constant i.e. Orthorhombic.  However, further increase in x changes the crystal structure. For x= 0.7 the system is Rhombohedral in structure. Grain morphology is being analysed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM: JOEL-IT300).Surface morphology shows that average grain size range from around 0.75 µm to 2.10 µm. Average grain size is maximum for x = 0.3 and minimum for x=0 (i.e. pure ferroelectric material). Magnetic measurement is done at a wide low temperature range (10-350K) by Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS: Quantum Design, San Diego, USA) Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). Hysteresis (M-H) loops are measured at room temperature (300K).It shows that the magnetization changes when the value of x changes. Remanence is maximum for x=0.3 and Coercivity is maximum for x=0.7. The material could be suitable to fabricate non volatile magnetic storage memory device.

Abstract

In Kuala Lumpur, there are various types of public transport such as bus and multiple types of rail transport. This facilitates the residents in Kuala Lumpur in terms of mobility and can reduce the level of traffic congestion around Kuala Lumpur. However, some people might get confused about the alternative routes when they are using the public transport. Next, road user might find information from maps and Internet which requires them to analyse and decide the routes by themselves. In addition, complex scheduling and routes of public transportation are hard to understand for the public. Besides, road users are not aware of better route and public transport available based on their requirement. In the end, they might be getting jam-packed on the road due to the limited information on the current available public transportation. Therefore, a decision support system is proposed to generate a type of public transport which suits with the criteria selected by the user. The system consists of five main modules and involves common users and system administrators. The application is written in Java programming language. Android Studio is used as software development and MySQL database. It is expected that this application will be able to help users to get public transportation options that suit the criteria they need.
