The term community service refers to activities that utilize relevant science and technology to advance the welfare of the community and educate the nations life. This journal publishes articles with topics such as theoretical innovations or methods or strategies for implementing community service activities, community service management innovations, university-community partnership strengthening programs, as well as other topics related to the impact and best practices in the implementation of community service to society. Praxis accepts article submissions from all over the world. All accepted articles will be published for payment of an article processing fee, and will be available free of charge to all readers with worldwide visibility and coverage. Praxis accepts article manuscripts with the following types Research Article: contains a quantitative, qualitative, or combination method study that shows the impact of community service projects on local communities, students, lecturers, or institutions. Reflective Essays contain sharp reflections on current issues or ideas related to community service based on literature. Projects with Prospects contains a description of the early stages of a community service project with an initial indication of its impact long-term evaluation plan a plan for how the project will remain sustainable; and best practices for readers to emulate. Book Reviews contains reviews of books related to community service which are more than just content descriptions, in order to analyze and extract their implications for theory and practice.

Abstract

The era of digitalization makes the use of digital financial applications contribute to the development of MSME businesses, especially from a financial aspect. MSME activists can actually use advances in digital financial technology to finance and strengthen business capital. However, the lack of digital financial literacy makes it difficult for MSME activists, especially digital ones, to use digital financial services properly, so that many are exposed to illegal online loans. In community service in the Tembong Village, Serang City which was held on 5th March 2023, assistance was provided on the importance of digital financial literacy for digital-based MSME activists. From the results of this activity it is known that MSME activists still have low understanding regarding digital financial literacy. This makes it difficult for some digital MSME activists to develop and worsens business performance. The success of this activity can be seen from digital MSME activists who have utilized various digital financial applications to increase working capital through digital financial financing patterns. MSME activists can also get to know digital financial governance, so they can carry out digital transactions as an effort to strengthen the financial aspects and digital business ecosystem.

Abstract

The celebration of independence day is a reflection of the people's gratitude for independence. In practice, the form of celebration is often injured by activities that actually tarnish the value of independence itself. Sasak Panjang village, Tajurhalang sub-district, Bogor is one of the villages that has a fairly large area, and is inhabited by residents who come from various different regions in Indonesia. The diversity of backgrounds of the residents in this village of course needs to be fostered and maintained a sense of togetherness. In fact, we still hear a lot of negative news about the occurrence of brawls between regions, the entrenchment of one ethnic group from a certain area feeling superior to other regions, the control of territory or land by a certain regional stronghold, etc. One of the anticipatory steps taken by the Sasak Panjang village government is organizing a carnival celebration, because it contains meaning, significance and important values ​​in uniting the nation and developing the level of creativity by involving all ages of the community and students who are carrying out Real Work Lectures.

Abstract

This community service aims to equip elementary school-aged children dealing with the limited Face-to-Face Learning (FFL) of the covid-19 pandemic and provide knowledge related to clean and healthy living behavior. This activity used a demonstration method in which the facilitator team provided instructions and practices to participants maintaining personal hygiene in facing limited Face-to-Face Learning (FFL). The result of this community service is that participants are able to understand the things which must be prepared in facing limited face-to-face learning in each school specifically maintaining clean and healthy living behavior. Abstract

The target of the solid soap workshop community empowerment is the Fatayat NU in Bogor City. The needs of the actors of change (members of Fatayat NU Bogor City) in the form of normative needs can be met by the target community (Fatayat NU Bogor City) with the efforts of the target community to seek various services for their members through solid soap workshops is active involvement in fulfilling basic needs household. The solid soap workshop is tailored to the needs of the community who use soap for their daily needs. Solid soap workshops use materials and tools that are cheap and easy to find in households, namely: cooking oil, caustic soda, fragrance, scales and soap molds. Workshop participants were representatives of 6 PAC Fatayat NU Bogor City. The workshop was held at the Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK) Nahdlatul Ulama University of Indonesia (Unusia). The resource persons came from lecturers from the Unusia Agro-Industry Technology Study Program assisted by 2 students. The method used in carrying out the service was counseling and practice on how to make solid soap. The workshop participants will receive a module on how to make soap, training on making soap and soap made by each participant. After the workshop is finished, an evaluation will be carried out by distributing questionnaires to the workshop participants to find out how far the effectiveness of the workshop is and the level of satisfaction of the participants in the soap making workshop. evaluation through a questionnaire obtained the following results: (1) 92.3% of participants could easily accept and understand the solid soap workshop material; (2) 76.9% of participants stated that the resource person mastered the workshop material well; and (3) 69.2% of participants stated that the training material n delivered in order and clearly systematically. From the questionnaire it was also known that the workshop participants hoped that there would be other empowerment workshops that would support the economic independence of the participants. In general, the hope of this empowerment is to fulfill basic household needs that can be fulfilled on their own in a sustainable manner so as to foster economic independence and improve people's welfare.

Abstract

Kontribusi sosial merupakan rangkaian akhir kegiatan Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka 2 (PMM2). Kegiatan kontribusi sosial dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2023 di Panti Asuhan Al-Ikhwan Gowa, Makasar, Sulawesi Tengah. Adapun kegiatan kontribusi sosial yang dilakukan ialah berupaa penyerahan sembako dan bermain games untuk meningkatkan motivasi hidup anak-anak panti. Kegiatan kontribusi sosial bermanfaat untuk anak-anak panti dalam membangun motivasi hidup dan memberikan pelajaran tentang nilai-nilai sosial.

Abstract

Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka memberikan kesempatan penulis untuk dapat mengenal salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yaitu Aceh. Aceh merupakan salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang memiliki destinasi wisata yang indah dan kuliner yang menggugah selera. Namun, kuliner Aceh menjadi sorotan menarik penulis terkait bahan baku yang digunakan oleh warga Aceh yaitu penggunaan ganja sebagai bahan makanan khas Aceh. Penggunaan ganja sudah berlangsung lama, disebabkan tanaman ganja tumbuh subur dilereng pegunungan Aceh, namun penggunaan ganja di Aceh umumnya untuk bumbu penyedap, pengobatan, atau melunakan daging yang sudah tua. Sehingga, ganja menjadi hal biasa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Aceh sebab manfaat dari tanaman tersebut.

Abstract

Sampah menjadi permaslahan utama yang belum terselesaikan di Ternate. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena minimnya tempat pembuangan akhir yang ada di tiap desa di Ternate. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut perlu dilakukan edukasi mengenai sampah dan pengelolaannya. Tujuan dari kegiatan edukasi ini ialah untuk memberi pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan sampah menjadi barang yang memiliki nilai guna. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode PAR, yang terbagi menjadi tiga tahap. Tahap pertama, pemberian materi sampah dan pengelolaannya. Tahap kedua, pelatihan kerajinan dari sampah anorganik dan tahap terakhir yaitu evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini yaitu terjadi peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat serta stake holder terkait mengenai sampah dan pengelolaannya.

Abstract

Kedungdalem Village is one of the villages in Dringu District, Probolinggo Regency, which has many MSMEs in various types of businesses such as catering businesses, banana chip businesses, herbal medicine businesses, cake businesses, cooking spices, and so on. Of the many business actors, several business actors do not yet have business legality in the form of Business Identification Number (NIB). This is because most MSMEs in Kedungdalem Village do not fully understand the benefits of having an NIB for business legality. The method used in developing MSMEs in Kedungdalem Village is carried out through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities and assistance in making Business Identification Numbers (NIB). The implementation of activities includes three things, namely the presentation of material related to MSME Business Development, assistance in making NIB, and submission of business legality letters to MSME actors. The results obtained from a series of MSME development activities in Kedungdalem Village, Dringu District, namely an increase in knowledge or awareness of Kedungdalem Village MSME actors regarding the importance of business legality and business registration with OSS institutions through registration of Business Identification Numbers (NIB).

Abstract

Stunting merupakan suatu permasalahan kegagalan pertumbuhan pada anak yang berstatus gizi kurang dan bersifat kronik dalam masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan sejak awal kehidupan yakni mulai dari usia 0 sampai 1.000 HPK (Hari Pertama Kehidupan). Seperti halnya yang terjadi di Desa Pabean dimana menurut informasi yang kami dapatkan terkait dengan stunting yang ada di Desa Pabean diakibatkan oleh faktor masih kurangnya pengetahuan dan informasi mengenai pencegahan, ciri dan dampak stunting sehingga masih ditemukan kasus bayi dan balita gizi kurang atau gizi buruk. Penanganan stunting merupakan salah satu program prioritas nasional dengan target angka stunting 14% pada tahun 2024. Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur sebagai wujud Tri Dharma perguruan tinggi yaitu pengabdian masyarakat dengan skema desa bebas stunting yang bertujuan untuk membantu menangani pencegahan stunting di Desa Pabean. Metode yang digunakan yaitu sosialisasi mengenai stunting dan pembagian pamflet. Target sasaran sosialisasi adalah ibu bayi, baduta dan balita hingga ibu hamil yang mengikuti kegiatan posyandu di Desa Pabean.
