Abstract

Maccorawalie Gas Station is one of the gas stations located in Pinrang. Regency, with an increase in the number of vehicles, it will automatically result in an increase in fuel demand as a result of fuel scarcity, causing motor vehicles owners to be able to queue for hours at public fuel filling stations. This Research aims to determine the length of queues that occur due to delays in fuel. supply and the level of service and arrival at the Maccorawalie gas station.Using quantitative research methods, using Model B Formula calculations: (M/M/S) (Multiple Line Queue Model). The research results show that the queue length that occurs due to delays in fuel supply at peak hours 10:00–11:00 WITA On Monday, 21 August 2023, is 44 meters, and on Thursday, 24 August 2023, is 12.75 meters, and on Saturday, August 26, 2023, namely 31.5 meters. The level of service on Monday, August 21 2023 is 3 vehicles per hour on Thursday, August 24. 2023, it is 8 vehicles/hour, and on Saturday, August 26, 2023, it is 4 vehicles/hour. The arrival rate on Monday, August 21, 2023, is 7 vehicles per hour.On Thursday, August 24, 2023, it is two vehicles per hour, and on Saturday, August 26.In 2023, it will be 5 vehicles per hour.

Abstract

Before carrying out sailing activities as a navigator on a ship, the thing you must prepare is, prepare everything related to the cruise plan. This aims to minimize the occurrence of accidents on ships when sailing. Making passage plans is usually made using paper maps, but this is a long and inefficient method to do. So, with current technological advances, several systems and tools have been created to make it easier to create passage plans, namely digital maps or better known as Electronic Charts. Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) is a tool whose function and system can provide information about navigation and whose use is to back up existing equipment, so that it can be accepted and considered to meet the requirements determined by the 1974 SOLAS convention & its amendments. Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) is an integration of various navigation tools, namely Global Positioning System (GPS), Radio Direction and Ranging (RADAR), Automatic Identification System (AIS), Echo Sounder and Gyro Compass. Starting from this awareness that there are many advantages in operating ECDIS on ships, we should realize that using ECDIS to make shipping plans (Passage Planning) can help lighten the burden on officers on board ships in designing a good and safe shipping route. The impact of making a passage plan that is inaccurate/not rechecked on the nautical chart that is generated as input to ECDIS and causes accidents when the ship is navigating.

Abstract

This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and data presentation in the form of Fish Bone diagrams with observation, documentation, and interview methods. The results of this study show that there are problems that occur in the process of extending the safety certificate of tugboats at KSOP Class I Balikpapan, namely in the lack of accuracy, less efficient, and less optimal in the process of extending the safety certificate of tugboats, in the results of the inspection report there is a lack of equipment on the royal tb 7 ship, lack of maintenance of equipment on board. The solution to improve performance in the process of tugboat safety certificate extension at KSOP Class I Balikpapan is by providing evaluation, training to develop skills, in the manual system it is recommended to be changed into an electronic system in order to optimize and streamline time in the payment process, and on the shortcomings on board are given evaluation and training on the importance of sailing safety to reduce the risk of accidents at sea, checking equipment that is almost expired, and conducting regular maintenance.

Abstract

Ships is used in trading activities between islands in Indonesia. Discharge is one of the most important activities in trading. Loading and discharge activities include document preparation, preparation of discharge equipment, preparation of the required workforce, preparation for the discharge, preparation for the actual discharge and the completion of discharge activities. This study discusses preparation procedures for coal discharging and the process of the actual coal discharge by PT Anugerah Jaya Mandiri Tubanan Bangkit. The data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, and library research. In this study, we can find out about the documents in the process of coal discharge and the process of carrying out coal discharge. PT. Anugerah Jaya Mandiri Tubanan Bangkit Jepara collaborates with various parties involved in the cargo unloading process. The process that must be gone through is the stevedoring and cargodoring process or moving the coal after it is unloaded from the ship.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze ambient air quality in the city of Surabaya, with a focus on four main locations: industry, transportation, offices and residential areas during two different periods, the dry season and the rainy season in 2023. This analysis is important for assessing the influence of urbanization and industrial activity. to the environment and public health. The method used is descriptive and comparative observational, where measurements are made of main pollutant parameters such as SO2, CO, NO2, O3, Pb, NMHC, PM10, PM2.5, and TSP. Sampling was carried out twice at each location, in accordance with SNI 19-7119.6-2005 and PPRI No. 22 of 2021 standards. The research results showed that the concentrations of all pollutants were below the specified threshold, indicating the effectiveness of existing air control policies. However, there are differences in pollutant concentrations between locations and significant seasonal changes, requiring more dynamic and tailored pollution management strategies. The study's conclusions suggest the importance of continuous monitoring, increased green space, public education about pollution, as well as stricter policies to control pollutant emissions. This research provides valuable empirical data for policy makers to develop effective strategies for managing air quality and reducing health risks in Surabaya..

Abstract

Currently, the government is increasingly building PLTMG to fulfill the electricity needs of the society. Beside for fulfill the electricity needs of the Indonesian people, PLTMG also has a negative impact on the society, especially for the community around the PLTMG in the city of Batam. So companies need to conduct studies on environmental impacts, one of which is the impact of the air produced on the surrounding area. The PLTMG industry does not use air pollution control devices, but uses a leanox combustion control system on each gas engine with a chimney outlet that emits SO2 and particulate emissions. The model simulation was carried out using Aermod view software with meteorological data from the affected locations. The results of AERMOD modeling show that the PLTMG industry will have an impact on particulate emissions in the ambient air around the activity location which will spread to the northwest, north, south and east of the activity location. The Aermod Model also shows that current conditions have resulted in dispersion with concentrations below the maximum limit stated in the 2021 Government Regulation. The addition of an emission monitoring system such as CEMS can be used to help monitor the concentration of dispersed emissions. Apart from that, emission control devices such as incinerators or combustion can also be used to reduce the concentration of the emissions used.

Abstract

In the hold of the fishing boat, it is currently unable to control the pH of the water in accordance with the living environment of the fish. The pH of the water also needs to be considered so that the fish can survive. In addition, fish feeding on fishing vessels is also very necessary. The purpose of this research is to design a system that can control pH, fish feeding, fish water replacement. in the fish hold using an IoT-based microcontroller. The method used in this research uses quantitative methods through system design, design software design models, product trials.This method is used This research method includes steps taken to design and implement the system, as well as tests carried out to ensure the performance and success of the designed system. The results of the data designed by the system are analyzing the data in testing this tool according to its function. The accuracy of using the tool when feeding is 90.5% and the percentage error is 9.5%. The accuracy of using the tool when draining mode is 100% with a percentage error of 0%. And for the results of the percentage error of the pH sensor when the mode is on by 100% with a percentage error of 0%. This shows that the Smart Pond system designed has a high level of accuracy in terms of fish feeding and pond draining.

Abstract

Incremental rotary encoder is a sensor that can be used to measure the degree of rotation in ship steering simulations. To create a ship steering simulation, Visual Basic software was used to simulate the movement of the rudder and ship. Meanwhile, to obtain incremental rotary encoder reading data, serial communication is used via Universal Serial Bus (USB) media bridged by Arduino which is programmed to convert incremental sensor signals into ASCII signals with a bolt rate of 9600 bps. The aim of this research is to test the accuracy level of the incremental rotary encoder sensor in ship steering simulations using Visual Basic software on commercial ships by using the Solas rule that a ship's rudder must comply when rotated from the midship position to the 35 degree port side position followed by the 35 degree position. starboard side and returning to midship, the rudder movement time was less than 28 seconds. Test results in terms of response speed of the incremental rotary encoder sensor are very good, while in terms of accuracy level for one degree of steering rotation, the result is 4.571 on the Arduino IDE serial monitor reading..

Abstract

The use of computers in the development of Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) teaching materials can be used to assist lecturers in learning activities on vocational campuses as well as other materials in the Computer Base Training (CBT) laboratory at the Indonesian Maritime Polytechnic. The CBT laboratory provides learning materials on ship machinery systems and multiple choice questions for learning evaluation. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of effectiveness of the use of ECDIS material learning media software when used computer-based. The method used in this study is a qualitative method by looking at the final grades of students. This software consists of 42 slides of ECDIS material theory, 1 slide of ECDIS material video tutorial, 1 slide of ECDIS material practice, 20 slides of multiple choice evaluation questions, and 1 slide of final grades made using Visual Basic software. The results of the test showed that all cadets who attended the lecture were successful in using the software until the final grade was obtained.
