Abstract

The college library is a place to find knowledge and other sources of information. Libraries at tertiary institutions are an important place to get more attention so that they can support student learning processes, where they can find knowledge and other sources of information. Things that must be considered so that visitors feel at home in the library are elements of interior design so as to create comfort in the library, because interior design is important for designing a building such as a library. The design of the library building needs to pay attention to every function of the room, comfort, harmony and beauty of the room from an interior perspective. The library room will look comfortable for visitors when the space is arranged by paying attention to layout, color, air temperature, and lighting. The comfort of visitors or library users can be seen from interior design elements such as layout, color, air temperature, and lighting applied.

Abstract

In the process of development, a person needs a life partner to give children and grandchildren according to everything that has been desired. Marriage can be defined as a way to create a harmonious and eternal household based on God Almighty. Marriage has a sacred meaning both morally, socially, and religiously as well as the state. Cases of early marriage that occur in Indonesia can be classified in the very high category, because Indonesia is ranked 2nd in ASEAN and 8th in the world for cases of early marriage. In Jember alone divorce cases reach 5000 cases a year, and most of the factors are due to the high rate of early marriage. Tanjungrejo is one of the villages located in the southern part of Jember Regency. In this village, early marriage is considered quite popular, almost all residents marry early. It is not surprising that those who marry over the age of 22 are considered unsolicited, especially for women who are considered old maids. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The phenomenon of early marriage in Tanjungrejo Village, which can be said to be quite a lot, has had a lot of influence and impact on those who do it and on the surrounding community. In this study, researchers used Max Weber's theory, namely the theory of social action. Factors supporting the existence of early marriage also cause impacts that are quite worrying so that this should get more attention.

Abstract

This research focuses on how to process family communication conflicts in the digital era, especially in families living in urban areas. This study discusses matters that include communication media, causes, ways to minimize and overcome communication conflicts that occur. Not only that, this research also includes a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of communication in the digital era, whether or not communication is effective, as well as the positive and negative impacts of communication through the media available in the digital era. The research method used is a qualitative method through interviews with 8 informants located in the city of Surabaya. This research produced findings that had almost aligned responses between one respondent and another, meaning that the respondents' responses had the same implementation in managing family communication conflicts in this digital era.

Abstract

Industry is one sector that has an important role in regional development. The industries that are located around the countryside make a change in social mobility for the people around the countryside. Where this social mobility continues to occur and develop in traditional society towards modern society. According to Pitirim A Sorokin, social mobility is a form of transfer of status and role of a person or group of people from a higher social class to a lower social class (Setiadi, 201:503). For example, a housewife whose livelihood is a farmer switches to a livelihood as an industrial worker. This social status change experienced by a person or group of people in the social structure of society is called social mobility. Rural women, especially housewives who are factory or industrial workers, are very much in demand to increase their income to meet household needs to help their husbands. For rural families, being a woman factory or industrial worker, of course, works hard to help men as the head of the household to fulfill the economy in the family, where income as a factory or industrial worker is considered to be able to help the economy in the household which is one of the strategies for survival. life. Women in rural areas are not only housewives but also work in any sector and are involved in various activities such as factory workers or industries that are developing in rural areas.

Abstract

This research discusses the theological study of Toraja literature, namely sampa' rampanan kapa' conducted at the Toraja Church of the Golgota Rea Congregation. This research seeks to find out the meaning and value contained in sampa' rampanan kapa' and how it is relevant to the married life of the members of the Golgota Rea congregation. In this study, a qualitative research method was used with the type of field research. The results from the field show that the meaning contained in sampa' rampanan kapa' is advice on how to respect marriage and maintain the sanctity of marriage, while the values ??contained therein serve as role models in married life as are the hopes expressed in sampa' rampanan kapa '. Based on these meanings and values, this is very relevant in married life in the Golgotha ??Rea church, because it is still needed to maintain the sanctity of marriage.

Abstract

Introduction: Waste is the result of residue or waste from a production activity, such as the cassava chips industry which produces solid and liquid waste in its production activities. Both types of waste will have a negative impact if the waste is not treated. The waste from processed cassava which often has a negative impact is liquid waste. The aim of this research is to analyze the processing of solid waste and liquid waste generated from the cassava chips industry and their impact on the environment. Method: This research is a qualitative research. Data obtained from direct observation and interviews. The research subjects are the cassava chip industry owners and the longest-serving workers in the industry. The research instruments consisted of researchers, interview question texts, stationery, and voice recorders. Presentation of data descriptively based on the results as they are. Result: Some of the waste generated is processed and some is not processed. Solid waste that is not processed is waste cassava peels and cassava cobs. The sediment waste from cassava soaking water is processed into mocaf flour. Meanwhile, the liquid waste produced is not processed. Conclusion: The cassava chips industry studied only produces mocaf flour as a new product from the utilization of the waste produced. The impact of cassava chips liquid waste is to contaminate water and soil, and stagnant wastewater becomes a breeding ground for disease vectors.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the Christian faith's perspectives on the phenomenon of suicide. This phenomenon is a complex and sensitive issue, considering the moral and spiritual values that underlie Christian beliefs. The study employs a qualitative approach, gathering and analyzing data from various Christian theological sources, including the Bible, prominent theological works, and church documents. The results of the study indicate that the Christian faith's view on suicide is closely tied to the belief in life as a divine gift from God. Human existence is regarded as a manifestation of the divine plan, hence ending one's life is questioned from an ethical perspective. However, the research also finds complexities in the interpretation of biblical texts and the development of theology over time. Additionally, the study highlights perspectives on extreme psychological conditions and unbearable suffering as factors influencing the Christian understanding of suicide. Some theologians consider extreme cases with empathy, emphasizing compassion and social support as the church's response to profound suffering. The research also notes that hope in the ultimate resurrection is a crucial element in the Christian perspective on suicide. Belief in life after death shapes the outlook on choices between life and death in this world. This research provides in-depth insights into the Christian faith's views on suicide, recognizing diverse interpretations among Christian theologians. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to broader ethical and theological discussions on this issue, as well as assist in forming a sensitive and attentive pastoral approach in supporting individuals facing mental and emotional crises.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in understanding of learning concepts in students with a media design approach in the form of games, as well as identify these games in increasing the ability and understanding of social studies material learning in elementary schools. This study uses the Research and Development (RnD) method. Data collection uses participant observation techniques, documentation studies, and in-depth interviews. Informants consisted of school principals, teachers, school committee, students and student guardians with a sampling technique consisting of school principals and teachers, student guardians. The data were analyzed using interpretive description techniques. The results of the research (1) make communication and interaction between teachers and students effective in the teaching and learning process. (2) to increase students' understanding of learning concepts, it is necessary to do learning with a mystery dice media design approach in the form of a game, which can be used as a source of social studies material learning and understanding of the history of the proclamation of Indonesian independence. The suggestions and recommendations of the researchers are that the mystery dice game can be used as a game-based learning resource in social studies material for grade 5 elementary schools.

Abstract

Explanation of Islamic views regarding these social problems is very necessary, so that every Muslim is aware of what they should do and what they should abandon. Because apart from regulating human beliefs, Islam also regulates their lives. The purpose of this writing is an effort to integrate hadith with social science. The object of sociological study is society and human social behavior by examining groups. This group includes researching families, ethnic or ethnic groups, government communities and various social, religious, political, cultural and other organizations. Social science and hadith science are two separate sciences but have the same dimension, namely human. These two sciences can be integrated as a blend. The scope of social science can be grouped into several disciplines which are categorized as social science, namely sociology, anthropology, geography, economics, history, psychology, law and political science.

Abstract

Full day school is not a new topic. This word has long been khown in America and is used in schools. This problem is getting worse in Indonesia as a logical consequence of two things. The social environment is becoming increasingly unfriendly to children’s development, while parents work all day, leaving little time to spend with their children at home in. Schools as learning organizing have proven to be the best institutions in protecting children from the negative impacts of an increasingly hostile social.
