Abstract

Advances in information technology have encouraged the use of sales data as a strategic source of information for micro-enterprises. Kopi Keliling Sekojab, a micro-enterprise, generates sales transaction data that has the potential to be analyzed to identify consumer purchasing patterns. However, this data is generally used for administrative purposes without in-depth analysis. This study aims to analyze sales patterns at Kopi Keliling Sekojab by implementing the Apriori and FP-Growth algorithms. The research method used is data mining with a quantitative approach, through the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) stages, which include data collection, pre-processing, data transformation, algorithm application, and analysis of the results. The analyzed data consisted of 30 sales transactions, which were processed to determine support and confidence values to form association rules. The results show that the Apriori and FP-Growth algorithms are capable of identifying customer purchasing patterns, with FP-Growth generating more and more efficient association rules than Apriori. The obtained patterns can be utilized by Kopi Keliling Sekojab businesses in developing sales strategies, stock management, and data-driven service improvements.

Abstract

Writing is a fundamental skill in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education, yet it presents challenges that require high levels of cognitive and linguistic proficiency. This study investigates the impact of ChatGPT, an AI-powered writing tool, on the writing skills and perceptions of university-level EFL students. Therefore, this study focuses on students' experience of using ChatGPT for writing and their perception.Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from 33 participants across multiple universities. The findings reveal that ChatGPT significantly enhances students' writing abilities in areas such as grammar, vocabulary, and content organization, while also reducing anxiety and increasing confidence during the writing process. Students praised ChatGPT for its accessibility, efficiency, and ability to generate ideas, yet acknowledged its limitations in accuracy, pronoun placement, and punctuation. These results align with existing theories on technology acceptance and AI’s role in education, emphasizing ChatGPT’s potential as a supportive tool rather than a standalone solution. The study concludes with recommendations for balancing AI use with critical thinking and human oversight to foster independent learning and sustainable writing development.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of education level and labor force participation rate (LFPR) on the gender-based open unemployment rate in Aceh Province during the period 2015–2024. Using multiple linear regression (OLS), the study evaluates the structural relationship between education, labor participation, and unemployment while considering gender aspects. The estimation results indicate that education level has a significantly negative effect on open unemployment, while LFPR has a significantly positive effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) values of 0.63 for the male model and 0.8 for the female model suggest that education and LFPR variables can explain most of the variation in open unemployment rates in Aceh. The gender analysis reveals that although female labor participation is lower, their unemployment rate fluctuates more than that of males. The novelty of this study lies in its simultaneous gender-based regional analysis, which enriches the empirical literature on labor in Aceh. The findings recommend strengthening vocational education and implementing gender-responsive labor policies to reduce unemployment and narrow disparities in the labor market.
