Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are often seen as a backbone of the local economy, yet many small business owners still haven’t adopted digital payment tools or build any kind of online presence. This community service project set out help MSME owners in the Region of Yogyakarta area register for QRIS, Indonesia’s standard QR-based cashless payment system, and their businesses listed on Google Maps so potential costumers could find theim more easily. The work was carried out in three stages: socialization, hands-on training, and direct mentoring. Two businesses took part, Duck Joglo Stalls Bu Yanti in Sedayu, Bantul, and Corner Fried Corner Bu Sriyani in Gamping, Sleman. By the end of the program, both owners had an active QRIS account ready to use and a bussines profile live on Google Maps. They also reported a clearer understanding of why going digital matters and how cashless payments could help their bussines. Overall, direct, hands-on mentoring turned out to be a genuinely effective way to push these micro-enterprises toward modernization.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency, including bullying, promiscuity, and drug abuse, remains a major challenge in fostering students' character development and legal awareness. Limited legal literacy has contributed to students' inadequate understanding of the legal consequences of deviant behavior occurring in schools and the wider community. This Law-Based Community Service (PKM-BH) program aimed to enhance students' legal literacy and legal awareness through participatory legal education as a preventive strategy against juvenile delinquency. The program was conducted from February to June 2026 in ten senior high schools across Pontianak, Kubu Raya, and Landak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The methods included field observation, legal counseling, interactive discussions, case-based learning, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and participatory evaluation. The findings indicated that approximately 90% of participants were able to identify various forms of bullying and understand their legal consequences, while the level of active participation reached 85%. Participants also demonstrated improved understanding of the risks associated with promiscuity and drug abuse, accompanied by stronger preventive attitudes toward risky behavior. These findings suggest that participatory legal education represents an effective educational approach to improving students' legal literacy and strengthening preventive efforts against juvenile delinquency within the school environment.

Abstract

The success of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) depends on the effectiveness of its distribution system in ensuring that meals are delivered to beneficiary schools on time, in the correct quantity, and in accordance with established quality standards. This study aims to evaluate the distribution system at the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) of Serang Regency by applying a Lean Logistics approach through the integration of Process Activity Mapping (PAM) and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). A quantitative descriptive method with a case study approach was employed using data collected through field observations, interviews, documentation, and operational distribution records. The findings indicate that 71.43% of distribution activities were classified as Necessary Non-Value-Added (NNVA), while only 28.57% were categorized as Value-Added (VA) activities, indicating the dominance of supporting activities prior to distribution. The Current State Value Stream Mapping identified four major sources of waste, namely waiting, transportation, motion, and overprocessing. Based on these findings, a Future State Value Stream Mapping was developed by proposing standardized package inspection, route-based distribution grouping, synchronization of packing and loading activities, and workspace reorganization. These improvements are expected to reduce non-value-added activities, streamline the distribution process, and enhance the operational efficiency of the Free Nutritious Meal Program. The findings provide practical guidance for evaluating and improving food distribution systems based on Lean Logisticsprinciples.

Abstract

Setro Hejo palm sugar coffee MSME in Kasomalang Kulon Village, Subang Regency, has strategic potential by combining local coffee, palm sugar as a distinctive flavour identity, and village tourism experiences. However, the partner still faces several challenges, including offline-dominated marketing, unmeasured contribution of social media to sales, unstable sales, price competition, limited production equipment, and inadequate business records. This community service programme aimed to strengthen the partner’s capacity in digital literacy, hybrid marketing strategies, product supply chain development, and basic business management. The activity was conducted on 17–18 April 2026 through field observation, discussion, outreach, training, interactive consultation, and simple practice. The materials covered the use of Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, marketplaces, Google Maps, local branding, packaging, coffee experience, raw material planning, inventory control, customer databases, and simple financial records. The results indicate improved participant understanding of hybrid marketing, niche market selection, added value through coffee education tourism, and the importance of systematic supply chain and business records. Further assistance is needed to validate sales data, develop packaging, diversify products, design coffee education tourism packages, and gradually provide production equipment.

Abstract

Household food security in rural areas continues to face challenges, including high dependence on market supply and the suboptimal use of home yards as a family food source. This community service program aims to strengthen household food security by empowering members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group to independently cultivate vegetables in their home yards in Dukuh Mencek Village, Sukorambi Sub-district, Jember Regency. The program applied a participatory and applied approach consisting of seven stages: problem identification and preliminary survey, coordination with village officials, program design and module preparation, socialization, training and demonstration of cultivation techniques, mentoring, and evaluation and publication. The results show that 85% of participants understood planting, maintenance, and harvesting techniques; 82% of participants' yards were productively utilized; family vegetable consumption increased from 1–2 to 4–6 types per week; and vegetable spending decreased by approximately 20–30%. The program also successfully established a food-resilient PKK group with a participation rate of 75–85%. It is concluded that empowering the PKK through home-yard vegetable cultivation is an effective strategy to strengthen household food self-reliance and security.

Abstract

Access to clean water remains a persistent challenge in rural Indonesia, particularly in villages where municipal water utility coverage is limited. In Kemiri Village, Panti Subdistrict, Jember Regency, community-based clean water management is carried out through the Himpunan Penduduk Pemakai Air Minum (HIPPAM), whose integration into the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) is mandated by Government Regulation No. 11 of 2021. However, HIPPAM in Kemiri Village still operates with an unclear organisational structure, weak financial administration, and limited managerial capacity. This community service program aimed to strengthen institutional governance and professionalism in HIPPAM management through a participatory approach involving the village government, BUMDes management, and HIPPAM administrators. Activities were implemented in three stages: preparation (coordination and situational assessment), implementation (socialization, drafting of governance documents, and training), and monitoring and evaluation. Results show improvements in organizational structure clarity, the availability of foundational governance documents (Articles of Association and service Standard Operating Procedures), and greater awareness among administrators of transparent financial reporting. The program contributes to strengthening village-based public services and supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6 on clean water and sanitation. Abstract

This activity aims to strengthen the role of village community movements in managing the natural environment to foster economic sustainability. Furthermore, it seeks to support these community movements in promoting social entrepreneurship alongside environmental conservation. The project partners are communities with a history of experiencing natural disasters, specifically flash floods and landslides. The region's disaster-prone nature, combined with its abundant natural resources, presents an opportunity to achieve village-level economic sustainability. A problem-solving approach is employed based on a three-dimensional sustainable economy framework—encompassing social, economic, and environmental aspects. The initiative fosters understanding and raises environmental awareness. Environmental preservation efforts serving as disaster mitigation include reforesting degraded land at disaster hotspots, clearing accumulated waste from rivers, and implementing waste management using "rocket stove" technology. It also strengthens village-level social entrepreneurship rooted in ecological stewardship, thereby fostering a circular economy. These efforts aim to generate economic value, enhance social awareness, and ensure long-term ecosystem protection.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to assist clients of XYZ Accounting Services Office (Kantor Jasa Akuntan/KJA) in Yogyakarta in preparing financial statements based on the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). The program was implemented as part of the Student Internship Program of Universitas Trunojoyo Madura to support the improvement of financial management practices among partner clients. The identified problems included unorganized transaction recording, incomplete supporting financial documents, and limited understanding of financial statement preparation in accordance with SAK EMKM. A participatory approach was applied through partner needs assessment, observation, direct mentoring, practical preparation of financial statements using actual transaction documents, and evaluation of the mentoring outcomes. The results demonstrated that the mentoring activities improved the partners' ability to classify transactions, prepare journal entries, post transactions to the general ledger, compile trial balances, and prepare financial statements in accordance with SAK EMKM. In addition, the program encouraged more systematic, transparent, and accountable financial recording practices, enabling partners to produce more reliable financial information for business decision-making. This activity demonstrates that mentoring conducted through collaboration between higher education institutions and professional accounting practitioners can effectively strengthen the financial reporting capacity of MSMEs.

Abstract

Semarang City has 107 cultural tourism potentials across 16 sub-districts, consisting of heritage buildings, religious sites, thematic villages, traditional arts, and intangible cultural heritage. However, the availability of comprehensive evidence-based mapping documents to support cultural tourism planning remains limited, resulting in relatively low economic contributions from this sector. This community service program aimed to assist the Semarang City Tourism Office in developing a Cultural Tourism Potential Analysis using Morrison’s 10A framework. The program was conducted for eight months through four stages: instrument preparation and staff training, field surveys, data analysis and report development, and dissemination of results. Data were collected through observations, interviews with cultural community leaders, community discussions, and verification of tourism data in all 16 sub-districts. The activities covered several key destinations, including Kota Lama, Pecinan, Sam Poo Kong, Goa Kreo, Kandri Tourism Village, Meteseh Batik Village, and Pedurungan Art Village. The results identified three priority development zones: primary, intermediate, and local development zones. The 10A analysis showed that Attraction and Activities were the strongest components, while Awareness, Access, and Appreciation required further improvement. This program highlights the importance of academic assistance and community participation in strengthening evidence-based cultural tourism planning.

Abstract

This community service activity addressed the limited capacity of PKK women to sort and process household organic waste at the neighborhood level. It aimed to improve participants' knowledge and practical skills in organic-inorganic waste sorting and household-scale composting. The activity involved 15 PKK members in one neighborhood unit in Padalarang, West Bandung Regency, through preparation, socialization and pre-test, hands-on sorting and composting practice, mentoring, and post-test evaluation. Data were collected using a 10-item knowledge questionnaire and field observation notes, then analyzed descriptively. The mean knowledge score increased from 49.7 in the pre-test to 82.0 in the post-test. Participants also learned to address composting problems, including odor, excess moisture, and larvae, by improving aeration, turning the compost mixture, and adding dry materials. The program indicates that PKK women can be strengthened as household waste managers through practical training and short-term mentoring. Further activities should include longer follow-up and replication across other neighborhood units
