Abstract

This research explores the impact of organizational behavior on Afghanistan’s state development by applying Stephen P. Robbins’ theories to assess institutional challenges and propose strategic solutions. Afghanistan’s governance structures suffer from weak leadership, ineffective communication, low motivation, and poor organizational culture, all of which hinder institutional performance and state-building efforts. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, this study relies on literature and book sources to analyze Robbins’ key concepts, including motivation, leadership, decision-making, and organizational culture, within the Afghan context. The findings reveal that inefficient organizational structures, lack of employee engagement, and poor management practices significantly contribute to the stagnation of governmental institutions. However, Robbins’ theories provide effective strategies for overcoming these challenges by fostering strong leadership, improving communication, and enhancing motivation through structured organizational policies. The results suggest that implementing Robbins’ frameworks can lead to a more efficient, accountable, and responsive administration, ultimately strengthening state institutions. The study concludes that integrating advanced organizational behavior principles into public administration can be a transformative approach to improving Afghanistan’s governance, promoting institutional stability, and driving long-term state development. By adopting these theoretical insights, policymakers can enhance decision-making processes and create a more resilient and effective bureaucratic system.

Abstract

This paper is an elucidation of the intricate challenges of nation building and intelligence reforms in transitional democracies where there are inherent contradictions of the imperatives of democratic ethos vis a vis intelligence reforms to create a credible balance of modern societies, with a specific focus on Nigeria. It is the position of this paper that the country's post-colonial hangovers have greatly impacted the national capacity to establish and nurture a dynamic template for the establishment of a robust and effective intelligence architecture. The consequence therefrom is a highly ineffective national security and democratic consolidation. The methodological thrust of the paper is a historical review of the political economic context of Nigeria's intelligence apparatus, the challenges of reforming it, and the consequential implications for nation building gathered logically from secondary sources. It concludes by highlighting the need for a comprehensive overhaul of the intelligence sector, anchored on democratic values and the rule of law.

Abstract

This study explores how folk-songs from tea plantations of North Bengal and Assam reflected collective identity and resilience of tea workers, shaped by their colonial and migratory diaspora.  A shared narrative of these captive labourers during company rule would be considered to have a historiographical analysis, interpretations and memories of their lived experiences and cultural expressions. Songs that have exposed deceptive recruitment and exploitation tactics by the British enterprise and tea estate owners constitute major section of the present discourse. It tries to shed light on the labor recruitment strategies sanctioned by the colonial planters as mirrored in folk lyrics. Present paper also provides a theoretical viewpoint on the migration-colonialism and exploitation on one hand, folk songs –cultural exhibit and symbolic resistance on the other. This study highlights folk-songs that reveal deceptive recruitment and exploitation by British tea enterprises, reflecting the labour strategies of colonial planters. The paper offers a theoretical perspective on how these songs narrated the lived experiences of tea workers, especially women, serving as historical accounts and contraptions to resilience against systemic oppression. Songs like jhumur portray themes of migration, exploitation, and cultural defiance among tea garden workers. These folkloric expressions serve as collective memoirs and oral histories, denouncing colonial hegemony, forced migration, and the atrocities faced by Adivasi workers under colonial enterprises, preserving their struggles and resilience through generations. Folk-songs and dances in North Bengal’s tea plantations represent a ‘composite culture,’ unique to this region. These cultural expressions, passed down through generations, highlight the active participation of women laborers. They serve as a vital link for the diasporic tea community, preserving their identity and resilience within the broader Bengali society, while reflecting their shared history and lived experiences.

Abstract

This paper explores the significance, spiritual dimensions, and historical anecdotes surrounding Zamzam water, with a focus on its deeply rooted place in Islamic tradition and practice. The objective of this research is to understand the spiritual power attributed to Zamzam when consumed with sincere intention, as documented through authentic hadiths and the experiences of notable scholars throughout Islamic history. Using a qualitative, textual analysis method, the study references classical sources and biographical works to compile instances where Zamzam was drunk with specific intentions, leading to remarkable outcomes in both spiritual and worldly matters. The research further examines the etiquettes of drinking Zamzam and the theological implications of gazing at it as an act of worship. It concludes that the sincerity of intention (niyyah) is central to the miraculous benefits of Zamzam, as supported by prophetic traditions and the lived experiences of scholars across centuries. The findings highlight how consistent belief, supplication, and adherence to prophetic etiquette amplify the blessings of Zamzam. This study contributes to the broader understanding of Islamic spirituality and the role of sacred rituals in shaping individual transformation.

Abstract

This article investigates how civic resistance and political conformity intersect in Nigeria's evolving democratic parlance, with a focus on the 2020 EndSARS protests and the digital activism of Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan. The study aims to understand how ordinary citizens negotiate political space in response to state repression and institutional failure. Employing a historical-analytical method, the paper draws upon secondary sources, digital media content, and public discourse to examine the patterns, tactics, and implications of both street and online resistance. It traces the lineage of political protest from anti-colonial movements to contemporary digital activism, identifying how new forms of engagement challenge or adapt to authoritarian tendencies within Nigeria’s democracy. The findings reveal that while EndSARS marked a watershed in youth-led mobilisation, the state’s coercive response exposed the fragility of civil liberties under democratic rule. In its aftermath, digital figures like VeryDarkMan emerged as alternative voices, using social media to critique governance and amplify civic demands. However, the commodification of activism and state pushback have complicated these efforts. The study concludes that popular resistance in Nigeria continues to oscillate between protest and survival, shaped by both historical memory and digital innovation.

Abstract

The research has explored the impact of colonial history on modern relations between Bangladesh and India. The resource has focused on how historical laser has shaped contemporary political, economic and socio-cultural dynamics.Using post-colonial and international relations theories, the study examines key aspects such as the Bengal Partition, colonial trade policies, and shared cultural legacies. The findings of this study have revealed the Bengal partition has created some territorial disputes like border enclaves and water-sharing conflicts which continue to influence diplomacy.Similarly, colonial trade policies fostered economic dependencies, contributing to current trade imbalances and resource-sharing tensions. However, by following the cultural and linguistic legacies in South Asia different collaborations through soft diplomacy like border markets (haats) and regional platforms such as SAARC have been created.Throughout this research data has been collected from different literature like relevant articles, policy papers etc. All of these papers fall under secondary data collection. By collecting those data qualitative data analysis has been done with thematic pattern's argument. From the literature review, a literature gap has been found. From this literature gap and following the research aim, the research question and hypothesis have been developed. The findings have satisfied the research question and found the hypothesis was true. Finally, some recommendations are offered for both Bangladesh and India as recommendations. The recommendations emphasize resolving border disputes, developing equitable trade agreements, and leveraging cultural ties for regional cooperation. This research will contribute to post-colonial studies and offer actionable insights for policymakers to address historical grievances, enhance diplomatic relations, and foster sustainable development in South Asia.
