Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the performance accountability of government agencies through a literature review. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the implementation of performance-based budgeting, regional financial management information systems, clarity of budget targets, understanding of accounting, compliance with regulations, and accounting control are the main variables that influence performance accountability. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of performance-based budgeting makes a significant contribution to accountability, especially if supported by appropriate planning, implementation, and reporting. Clarity of budget targets plays an important role in facilitating the accountability process, while understanding of accounting and compliance with regulations strengthen transparency and accountability. An effective financial management information system also has a positive impact, although the implementation of the regional government accounting system shows varying results. These findings underline the importance of planned financial management, consistent implementation, and transparent reporting to achieve optimal performance accountability. This study contributes to improving good governance by emphasizing strategic factors that need to be considered by government agencies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze public sector financial reports in order to assess the accountability and performance of local governments. Financial reports are one of the important instruments used to describe the financial position and evaluate the performance of public sector entities. In the context of local government, financial reports are the basis for decision making, both for internal government parties and for external stakeholders such as the community, creditors, investors, and the central government. This study uses a descriptive analysis approach and case studies to explore the functions, objectives, and stakeholders related to public sector financial reports. The results of the study indicate that public sector financial reports not only function as a tool to measure financial performance, but also as a medium to increase transparency and accountability in regional financial management. In addition, public sector financial reports are also an important reference in decision making related to public policy and regional development. Comparison with the private sector shows significant differences in terms of focus, accountability, and supervision of financial reports. This study provides recommendations for improving the public financial accounting and reporting system in order to create more efficient and accountable management at the local government level

Abstract

The Planting two or more crops at the same time and location is known as intercropping. During the 2019 primary rainy season, the work was done in the Guji Zone in Oromia, Ethiopia, as well as the districts of Adola Rede and Odo Shakiso. Calculating the yield output and cost-benefit ratio of haricot bean and maize intercropping techniques under farmer conditions, as well as the preferences of farmers and other stakeholders, are among the objectives of the demonstration. A district's two Kebeles, or sites, were chosen depending on their potential to produce maize and haricot beans. Fifteen farmers were picked from each Kebele/site and placed in a single FRG. As a result, four FRGs with 60 farmers (15 women and 45 men) were formed. Better haricot bean (Haramaya) and maize (BH-546) cultivars have been shown by growing the crops alone in 100 m2 plots of each species, with the necessary amounts of seed and fertilizer placed 40 cm apart from one another and 10 and 75 cm apart for the haricot bean and maize, respectively. Field days, technological reviews, exchange visits, and training enhanced farmer-to-farmer knowledge of haricot bean-corn intercropping methods. Intercropping metrics, measurement, in-person interviews, and observation were employed to obtain the information. Descriptive statistics and a qualitative examination of the farmers' preferences were used to analyze the data. According to the demonstration results, a net return of 28,007.67 ETB/ha was achieved by producing 2.746 tons of maize and 2.323 tons of haricot beans per hectare

Abstract

Mathematics is essential in everyday life and the modern world, yet its theoretical study in classrooms often needs more practical application, creating a gap in understanding.  This study aims to bridge the gap between theoretical mathematics and real-world problem-solving by exploring how mathematical concepts can be applied in everyday life by everyday people. The study used a phenomenological research design and purposive sampling to explore the everyday applications of mathematics, interviewing 11 individuals from diverse backgrounds in Malaybalay City. The study reveals that mathematics is deeply embedded in everyday and professional activities and learned through authentic engagement. The result underscores the importance of contextualizing mathematical concepts to make them relevant and meaningful. Furthermore, the result emphasizes the need for an inclusive approach to mathematics education that integrates universal, practical, and culturally specific dimensions

Traditions and cultures used as tourism assets can ignore traditional practices with a concurrent loss of traditional knowledge. This study aims to reveal the traditional knowledge of medicinal plants used by the Bugbug community through analysis of the traditional knowledge of the diversity of medicinal plants, the fidelity level (FL) and Index of Cultural Significance (ICS) of medicinal plants. The study was conducted in Bugbug Village, Karangasem, from  May to July 2022. Data were collected using qualitative methods through semi-structured interviews, moderate participation observation, and documentation. Key informants and respondents were selected using purposive and snowball sampling; 10 informants and 48 respondents were obtained. The fidelity level was calculated by FL; and cultural importance by ICS. The level of traditional knowledge of medicinal plants was measured by the Phillips and Gentry equations and analyzed by the Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney Test.  As many as 124 species in 46 families are found at Bugbug Village. The best represented families were Fabaceae. Leaves are the most widely used plant parts for traditional medicine. The highest habitat is obtained from the roadsides. In terms of the life form, most of the used species were herbaceous. Traditional knowledge between age groups differs significantly. In contrast, traditional knowledge of gender was not found to be different. The highest fidelity levels are Piper betle L. and Imperata cylindrica L. And the most ICS is Piper betle L

Abstract

The legacy of a centralized government system with a mindset that is formed as a result of experience so far with a centralized system of government and development includes, 1) weak supervision; 2) responsiveness in changing development approaches and strategies; 3) misalignment between policies and implementation in various areas of development; 4) the economic crisis has caused the weakening of the ability of local governments; 6) the unevenness of economic growth between regions; and 7) the powerlessness of the community in the process of social change for the improvement of welfare in various regions. In Indonesia, without excluding the factors of injustice, geopolitics, and ethnicity, there is a tendency to identify movements. Therefore, it can be said that religious and cultural differences contribute to political tensions, and can even trigger separatism. While culture is a concept that encompasses many (broad) things, it includes everything from the influence of an individual's thought process to his behavior
