Abstract

Osteoarthritis is a chronic degenerative disorder that primarily affects the articular cartilage of the synovial joint, and ultimately bone and remodeling (spurs) at the joint boundary occur. Synovial thickening and capsule progression and joint effusion also occur. Disorders due to Osteoarthritis cause limited activity and limited ability in activities. Because, damage to the cartilage (cartilage) of the joint, so that the thickness of the subcondral bone increases, sclerosis of the bone plate, the growth of osteophytes in the joints, can stretch the joint capsule, resulting in inflammation, and weakening of the muscles connecting the joints. This study aimed to determine the effect of Manual Traction and Isometric Exercise in patients with Knee Osteoarthritis at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. Using quasi experiments with one group pretest posttest with a sample of 19 respondents. Measurement of Functional Activity with Jette Scale, using paired sample t-test analysis. There is a significant influence on functional activities before and after. hypothesis test by paired sample t-test obtained with the results of p-value < α (0.001 <0.05). There is the Effect of Manual Traction and Isometric Exercise on Functional Activity Enhancement in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. Researchers suggest that the next researcher add a number of samples and a longer time so that the results obtained are more maximal.

Abstract

Chemotherapy is a treatment process that uses antineoplastic preparations with the aim of killing cancer cells and slowing the growth of cancer cells by disrupting cellular function and reproduction. Research objectives: To determine the relationship between chemotherapy and anxiety levels in cancer clients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2021. Research methods: This study used a quantitative research design with the type of analytical survey. This study used a cross-sectional design, which is a type of observational study that analyzes data from a population. the research results obtained p value = 0.00. It means that the p value <0.05, then there is a relationship between chemotherapy measures and anxiety levels in cancer clients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2021. Conclusion: chemotherapy will provide different levels of anxiety for each patient undergoing it, depending on their attitude to accept the disease. as well as the existing knowledge about cancer that will be treated by chemotherapy. Suggestion: For Research Sites: It is hoped that it can add insight to other nurses to further maximize the actions to be taken

Abstract

The number of work accidents in workers continues to increase from year to year. One of the causes of work accidents is the lack of awareness of workers to use PPE at work. This paper aims to provide health promotion to brick-making workers about the importance of using PPE when working. The method of implementing this activity is through observation and providing health education about the use of PPE. From the results of the activities carried out, the workers enthusiastically welcomed this activity. It is hoped that with this activity there will be an increase in the compliance of brick-making workers in using PPE at work

Abstract

Asupan gizi selama hamil diperlukan untuk persiapan asi serta tumbuh kembang bayi. Salah satu indikator terpenuhinya kebutuhan gizi selama hamil adalah adanya penambahan berat badan ibu. Pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi pemenuhan asupan gizi melalui edukasi nutrisi pada ibu hamil agar ibu hamil dapat mengetahui, paham dan dapat menerapkannya dalam pemenuhan nutrisi baginya dan janin yang di kandung. Media dan alat yang disediakan berupa leaflet dan LCD proyektor. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab kemudian evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian masyakat diperoleh bahwa pengetahuan responden sebelum dilakukan sosialisasi pemenuhan asupan gizi melalui edukasi nutrisi pada ibu hamil agar ibu hamil diperoleh pengetahuan baik sebanyak 6 orang (40%), pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 6 orang (40%) dan pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 3 orang (20%). Sedangkan pengetahuan responden sesudah dilakukan sosialisasi pemenuhan asupan gizi melalui edukasi nutrisi pada ibu hamil agar ibu hamil diperoleh pengetahuan baik sebanyak 10 orang (67%), pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 5 orang (33%). Disarankan kepada masyarakat agar lebih meningkatkan pemahaman tentang nutrisi pada ibu hamil dandapat menerapkannya dalam pemenuhan nutrisi baginya dan janin yang di kandung.
