Abstract

The elderly are over 60 and experience physical, mental, and social changes. A decrease in physical strength, endurance, and appearance indicates physical changes in the elderly. The elderly are at risk of experiencing hypertension due to several factors, decreased elasticity and accumulation of collagen in the aortic wall, neurotransmitter imbalance due to depression, and an unhealthy lifestyle during youth. This study aims to determine the impact of applying relaxation therapy to chronic pain problems in the elderly. The design of this case study is descriptive qualitative with a nursing care process approach. This study took a sample of Mr. M, who has chronic pain problems with hypertension at UPT PSTW Jember. This research was carried out for seven days with the application of therapy for six days on December 4-10 2022. Data collection was carried out using interviews and observation. The evaluation of this intervention therapy action uses the NRS pain scale, blood pressure measurement, and pulse count. Relaxation therapy using the spiritual-emotional freedom technique (SEFT) has made a difference in chronic pain problems in the elderly with hypertension. This is evidenced by decreased pain scale and blood pressure after therapy.

Abstract

Interprofessional collaboration (IPC) is cooperation between health professionals who work together to solve health problems, provide medical services, and achieve common goals. In the health sector, 70-80% of errors are due to poor communication and understanding within the team. In Indonesia, one result of the lack of coordination between medical personnel is the high error rate in prescribing drugs, which is up to 98.69%. Communication in the application of IPC is a very important factor that contributes to patient safety and the quality of health services so that it will form a good hospital image. Barriers to professional cooperation can be a major cause of medical errors, treatment errors, or other unforeseen events. The purpose of this study was to analyze interprofessional collaboration in the care of patients with Diabetes Mellitus. The results of the case study show that the role of the health team in collaboration in nursing care has been implemented but has not been optimal. The implementation of IPC has not been optimally implemented because there are several obstacles such as the lack of communication between professions, none of the team members have participated in the application of IPC in health services, and stereotypes from one profession to another. So it is necessary to increase teamwork between health professionals, so that collaboration can be established optimally

Abstract

Intra Cerebral hemorrhage is a complication of stroke disease. The typical symptoms in ICH patients are a loss of consciousness and getting long treatment at home. As a result, the patient will lack mobilization and experience muscle stiffness which can aggravate the patient's condition; it will also slow down the patient's healing process and increase the risk of decubitus. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of giving a massage with olive oil to overcome. This study used a case report that described the case of ICH patients with skin and tissue integrity disorders problems given the intervention of massage with olive oil carried out for five days of treatment and carried out one time a day with a duration of 10-20 minutes. The Braden scale was used to measure the level of decubitus consisting of 6 question indicator items. This study found an increase in score on the first day with a score of 11 and on the fifth-day score of 14 with an increase from a severe risk of decubitus to a moderate risk of decubitus in patients. This procedure has proven useful for reducing decubitus in hospital patients with prolonged bed rest.

Abstract

Satisfaction is a feeling of pleasure or disappointment arising from comparing the perceived performance of results/products with their expectations, and patient dissatisfaction with antiretroviral (ARV) treatment services will harm people with HIV/AIDS. This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction and the factors that influence satisfaction in ARV treatment services. This study uses a literature review with DOAJ, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Springer databases. In 13 articles analyzed, two findings discussed the level of satisfaction and factors influencing patient satisfaction. The level of satisfaction with ARV treatment services is relatively high; on average, all patients are delighted. Factors influencing patient satisfaction are divided into sociodemographic, individual, nurse or health worker, health service, and environmental factors. Every country or every health service has different services; the level of satisfaction with ARV treatment services also varies because several factors influence it; it is necessary to improve the quality of service by improving the planning of facilities and infrastructure, good time management, arrangement of resources, facilities and work environment. Provide guidance and training to health workers. HIV/AIDS patients need not be afraid to seek treatment and are more open to expressing complaints to nurses or health workers.
