Abstract

The study analyses the impact of Current Ratio, Net Profit Margin, and Debt to Equity Ratio on the change in profits on companies in the technology sector listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. (BEI). Annual financial data of a number of companies were taken for the last few years, namely 2020-2022, and analyzed using regression methods. The results show that Current Ratio and Net Profit Margin have a significant positive relationship to profit changes, suggesting that the company's ability to manage liquidity and operational efficiency contribute to profit performance. On the contrary, Debt to Equity Ratio shows an uninfluential and significant relationship, indicating that the corporate debt level can influence profit changes. The implications of these findings can help financial managers and investors to make more informed decisions in managing risk and improving corporate financial performance in Indonesian capital markets.

Abstract

This study explores the critical role of location proximity in the decision-making process of prospective students when selecting higher education institutions. Drawing upon Aristotle's persuasive theories, the research aims to craft effective promotional content that leverages the significance of location proximity in attracting students to colleges and universities. Through a mixed-methods approach, including quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the study investigates the extent to which location proximity influences students' decisions and develops persuasive messages based on ethos, pathos, and logos theories. Findings indicate that proximity to home significantly influences students' choices, driven by factors such as convenience, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness. By recognizing and addressing the importance of location proximity, educational institutions can enhance their recruitment strategies, bolster competitiveness, and contribute to student success. This research underscores the need for institutions to tailor offerings and promotional strategies to resonate with prospective students effectively, emphasizing the benefits of attending a nearby institution.

Abstract

Employee performance in the workplace is evaluated based on achieving objectives and the level of success an individual attains, with satisfactory performance indicated by goal completion. Various factors within the organization, such as technical abilities, interpersonal skills, and professional background, can influence performance. This research aims to evaluate the individual and collective impacts of technical abilities, interpersonal skills, and professional background on employee performance. The study employed quantitative research methods, focusing on PT Langkat Nusantara Kepong in Padang Brahrang Regency of Langkat, with a sample size of 85 selected through probability sampling. Data were gathered using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through instrument testing, assessment of classical assumptions, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using MS Excel and SPSS version 25. Results indicate that technical abilities, interpersonal skills, and professional background significantly and positively affect employee performance both individually and collectively. The coefficient of determination test reveals a strong correlation between these variables, with an R value of 0.982. Furthermore, the Adjusted R Square value suggests that technical abilities, interpersonal skills, and professional background collectively contribute to 96.4% of employee performance, with the remaining 3.6% attributed to unexamined external factors.

Abstract

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the chain of disease transmission, especially Covid-19. This study aims to monitor and evaluate the use of PPE among nurses who work in inpatient and emergency rooms at teaching hospitals in Malang. This research uses a cross-sectional comparative analysis approach. Data were collected using hospital SOP observation sheets by the Minister of Health Regulation 27 of 2017. Using a purposive sampling technique, the sample size was 82 nurses, divided into inpatient and emergency rooms. Data analysis uses descriptive and Chi-square to analyze differences in work area use of PPE (α= 0.05). The study's results showed differences in compliance and level of risk of exposure for nurses in using PPE in emergency departments and inpatient rooms (p-value=0.009). Emergency department nurses use PPE more often according to SOP, which has a higher exposure risk than inpatient nurses.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Time Token learning model on the ability to write poetry texts in class X of SMA Swasta Al Washliyah Pasar Senen for the 2023/2024 academic year. The population and sample in this study were all students of class X IPA IPS, totaling 24 students with the Time Token model. This research uses a one group pretest-posttest design experimental method using a quantitative approach. The instruments used in this research are the building blocks of writing poetry texts which consist of diction, theme, rhyme/rhythm, figurative language (figure of speech), and message. The data analysis techniques used are analysis requirements tests, normality tests, and hypothesis tests. The research results before using the Time Token model were 62.8 and classified as sufficient. Meanwhile, the research results after using the Time Token model were 73 and classified as good. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it was found that tcount > ttable, namely 0.0107 > 0.337, so the hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence of using the Time Token model on the ability to write poetry in class X SMA Swasta Al Washliyah Pasar Senen Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning learning models differ on student learning outcomes on chemical bonding material.. From the results obtained, namely tcount>t table (5.63<1.66). From the results of the average posttest score compared with the average KKM score for chemistry subjects, there is a significant influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in chemical bonding material, namely (87.5 > 75), and there is also a significant influence Discovery Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in chemical bonding material, namely (81.29>75). And based on the posttest scores, namely (87.5> 81.29), the learning outcomes of students in the Problem Based Learning learning model on chemical bonding material were higher than the learning outcomes of Discovery Learning on chemical bonding material.
