Abstract

This study aims to examine and compare the national accreditation system managed by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) with international accreditation standards such as AUN-QA, ABET, and other global accreditation bodies. The comparison covers assessment criteria, evaluation procedures, evaluation instruments, and their impact on the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) study programs in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with literature study and comparative analysis methods, the findings reveal significant differences between national standards, which are more regulation-oriented, and international standards, which emphasize outcomes-based education and global relevance. The study concludes that harmonization between both systems is essential for PAI programs to meet national quality standards while remaining globally competitive.

Abstract

Air transportation in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth. According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS), there was an increase of 5.5 million domestic passengers and 1.84 million international passengers during the period from December 2024 to 2025. This surge in passenger volume and the rapid growth of air transport must be supported by robust airport infrastructure, particularly runway pavement that accommodates aircraft take-off and landing operations to guarantee safe and comfortable travel. This study aims to analyze the performance and Marshall parameter characteristics of an Asphalt Concrete – Wearing Course (AC–WC) mixture utilizing PG 76 polymer-modified asphalt binder for airport runway pavement. A laboratory experimental method was employed, with testing procedures conducted in accordance with the Decree of the Director General of Civil Aviation (KP DJPU) No. 74 of 2026. The results of the combined gradation trials indicate that Trial 3 achieved the optimum performance compared to the other trial formulations. The resulting Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC) for the AC–WC mixture was determined to be 5.70%. The material proportions utilized under the OAC condition comprised 328.2 grams of 10–15 mm aggregate fraction, 271.6 grams of 5–10 mm aggregate fraction, 520.5 grams of 0–5 mm aggregate fraction, 11.3 grams of mineral filler, and 68.4 grams of PG 76 asphalt binder.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is often accompanied by headache and neck pain due to increased blood pressure. In addition to pharmacological therapy, a combination of lavender and ylang-ylang aro-matherapy can be used as a complementary therapy to help reduce pain intensity. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of applying combined lavender and ylang-ylang aromatherapy on pain intensity in hypertensive patients in the working area of the Ngoresan Community Health Center, Surakarta. The method used was a case study with a qualitative descriptive approach involving two hypertensive patients. The intervention was administered for 10 minutes, once a day, for seven consecutive days. Pain intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after the intervention. The results showed that before the intervention, both respondents experienced moderate pain with a scale of 6. After seven days of aromatherapy administration, pain intensity decreased to mild pain, namely from a scale of 6 to 2 in the first respondent and from a scale of 6 to 1 in the second respondent. The conclusion is that, based on the results obtained over seven days, the combination of lavender and ylang-ylang aromatherapy helped reduce pain intensity in hypertensive patients, so that it can be used as a complementary therapy alongside pharmacological therapy.

Abstract

Urinary incontinence is one of the common health problems experienced by older adults, particularly women, due to weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. This condition not only affects physical function but may also reduce self-confidence and quality of life among older adults. One non-pharmacological approach that can be used to reduce urinary incontinence symptoms is Kegel exercises. This community service activity aimed to improve pelvic floor muscle strength and reduce the severity of urinary incontinence among older adults through Kegel exercise modality therapy. The activity was conducted at Wisma Anggrek, Panti Perlindungan dan Rehabilitasi Sosial Lanjut Usia (PPRSLU) Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru, on October 27, 2025, and was attended by eight female older adults aged 60–78 years. The activity consisted of preparation, education on urinary incontinence and Kegel exercises, exercise implementation, and evaluation using the Revised Urinary Incontinence Scale (RUIS) before and after the intervention. The exercises were performed in sitting and lying positions, consisting of pelvic floor muscle contractions for 5 seconds followed by 10 seconds of relaxation, repeated 10 times per session. The evaluation results showed a decrease in the mean RUIS score from 8.0, categorized as moderate urinary incontinence, to 5.0, categorized as mild urinary incontinence, representing a 37.5% reduction in the score. In addition to physical improvements, the participants also demonstrated positive responses, including increased comfort, self-confidence, and motivation to continue the exercises independently.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the urgency of leadership policies in Islamic education management as an instrument for fostering students’ values, morals, and character, as well as to formulate a conceptual framework for Islamic value-based leadership. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were obtained from various scholarly articles, academic books, and policy documents relevant to educational leadership, Islamic education management, character education, and students’ moral development. The data were analyzed through content analysis and thematic synthesis to identify the interrelationships among leadership, educational policies, institutional culture, and character formation. The findings indicate that leadership policies play a strategic role in directing educational visions, cultures, programs, and practices oriented toward Islamic values. Leadership grounded in trustworthiness, exemplary conduct, justice, responsibility, and consultation can foster an educational environment that supports the internalization of values and the habituation of moral behavior. This article proposes a conceptual framework that positions leadership policy as a link between Islamic values, educational management, institutional culture, and student character.
