Sintaks: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a peer-reviewed journal by Medan Resource Center. This journal accepts articles related to the Indonesian language; literature; language education; Classroom Action Research; literature review; learning material and media development; and learning assessment. The journal provides a means for teachers, any instructors of all levels of education, as well as students or practitioners who are interested in the area. The journal is published biannually in January and July and accepts articles in Bahasa Indonesia or English.

This study aims to describe the impact of environmental damage and the author's interaction with the environment using literary ecology studies. The source of the research data is the Novel Sampah di Laut, Meira by Mawan Belgia totaling 246 pages published by Buku Mojok, first printing in April 2020. The data for this research is a form of literary ecology, namely the impact of environmental damage and the author's interaction with the environment contained in the Novel Novel Sampah di Laut, Meira by Mawan Belgia. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data, describing the data, and then analyzing the data. The research instrument used in this study was a documentation guide by reading and understanding the novel. The data analysis technique used is to read carefully, appreciate and understand, collect data, describe and conclude the results of the researcher. The results of this study found the impact of environmental damage consisting of water and soil pollution, declining economic conditions, and the extinction of fish populations. The results of the author's interaction are the author's interaction with social and the author's interaction with the state of the sea.

The purpose of this study was to find out how the development of interactive media, the feasibility of interactive media in writing poetry text materials to increase the motivation of the students of class X of SMA Al-Washliyah Pasar Senen Medan. This research is a type of research and development using Borg and Gall development model. The steps taken in this development research are: research and collection, planning, draft or product development, initial field trials, revising test results, field trials, final product improvements. The population and the research sample were 23 students. The results showed that the product development was declared feasible based on the results showed that that material expert I gets the “Eligible” score criteria with a percentage (80%) and the material expert II gets the “Enough Eligible” criteria (64%), the results of the media expert assessment I gets the value criteria “Very Eligible” with a percentage (86%) and media expert II gets the criteria for “Eligible” with a percentage (80%). Field implementation test with 23 students of class X SMA Al-Washliyah Pasar Senen Medan gets the criteria of “Very Eligible” with a percentage (90%) and the terachers gets the criteria of “Very Eligible” with a percentage (94%).

The purpose of this study is to describe the types of code mixing that occur in the independent student exchange group whatsapp group 1. The data source in this study is the conversation of exchange students who are members of the whatsapp group. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely research that produces descriptive data in the form of words in written or oral form from the people and behaviors that are observed or studied. The research instrument was carried out in the form of documentation and observation (read and note) conversations in the independent student exchange group whatsapp group 1. The research data collection techniques were carried out through observation techniques and note-taking techniques. Based on the analysis of the types of code-mixing, it was found that the inner code-mixing the insertion language with elements of regional languages ??(Makassar, Minang, Bengkulu Malay), outer code-mixing the insertion with foreign language elements (Arabic and English), and hybrid code mixing insertion with foreign language elements. and regional languages ??(Makassar, Minang, Javanese, Sundanese) as well as foreign languages ??(English and Arabic) in the use of Indonesian.

This study aims to find out the meaning of the parable of the Isimalungun marriage custom. iThis research uses qualitative descriptive method. i Descriptive research is generally carried out with the main objective, i.e., to describe systematically the facts and characteristics of the object or subject that is being studied accurately. The technique used is a type of qualitative technique. The analysis of data in this research focuses on the meaning of the parables found in the ceremony of the customary marriage ceremony, iSimalungun. To see if there is or not the meaning of the idiom in the parable of the speaker, the writer also reads the data written in i, namely my mother, the book which contains the conversation in the iSimalungun language. Then the writer finds the data and writes it in the list, followed by determining the direct or indirect example. The results of the study can be concluded that there is a parable in the traditional wedding ceremony of the Simalungun tribe.

The differences between the Uken and Toa dialects are easily identified in the speakers' daily conversations. Speakers of these two dialects are still easy to understand each other. The difference occurs in some vowel sounds, intonation, some vocabulary, and some greetings in everyday dialogue. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to determine the differences between the Gayo Uken and Toa dialects. The research method used is a qualitative research method, this research was conducted using a descriptive analysis method. The difference in conversation between Uken and Toa people can be seen in terms of their pronunciation in interacting. The difference between the two Gayo dialects is in the form of words that are similar between the gayo uken and toa dialects but have the same meaning and what distinguishes these two dialects is the way they are pronounced. And based on the pronunciation of the Uken and Toa dialects spoken by the community, there are many phoneme variations, each word conveyed produces differences in vowel phonemes and consonant phonemes.

This study aimed to develop and test the feasibility and determine the effectiveness of interactive media-based on teaching materials for class XI. The population from class XI SMAS Bani Adam Mabar as 79 students and the sample as 21 students. This study used development research that ausually called R&D (Research and Development) with 4D model. The procedure used four stages: (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop, (4) Disseminate. The results indicated that Interactive Media-Based Teaching Materials for Class XI are very suitable in learning by previously through a validation test of 2 material experts and 2 media experts. The result of material expert I is 77%, material expert II is 89%, media expert I is 85% and media expert II is 75%. Furthermore, interactive media-based teaching materials for class XI were tested on 1 teacher of Indonesian language studies and 21 students of class XI in SMAS BANI ADAM Mabar. For trials on teachers in the field of study, the results were 83% or very good criteria, and for trials on students, the results were 92% or very good criteria. In addition, after the effectiveness test was carried out by providing evaluations to students, it was obtained that the students' scores reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). Then it can be concluded that interactive media-based teaching materials for class XI are very feasible and effective to be used in learning.

This study aims to determine: 1) STIE-SAK students' digital literacy skills, 2) STIE-SAK students' letter writing skills, 3) The effect of digital literacy skills on STIE-SAK students' letter writing skills. This type of research is ex-post facto. The population in this study were all STIE-SAK students. The total population in this study were 350 students. While the sample in this study were 75 students. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, namely random sampling without regard to strata in the population. This research instrument uses a questionnaire, tests and documentation. The collected data was processed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, students' digital literacy skills are included in the medium category with a percentage of 70% and narrative writing skills are included in the medium category with a percentage of 72.6. Based on the results of inferential statistics by testing the hypothesis, the calculation results are obtained, namely tcount = 0.176 while ttable = 1.995 for a significance level of 5%. Because tcount is smaller than ttable, it can be concluded that H0 is accepted and HI is rejected. This means that there is no positive and significant effect of digital literacy skills on STIE-SAK students' letter writing skills.

This research reveals the existence of a number of binary oppositions and dismantling of the order contained in the short story Saksi Mata by Agus Noor. Saksi Mata short stories were chosen because they reveal something unusual and even inversely proportional to what we find in people's lives factually. The analysis in the short story Saksi Mata was carried out using a deconstruction approach. This research is a qualitative study and is presented descriptively. The primary data in this study is in the form of a short story with the title Saksi Mata and secondary data in the form of a number of severences that support the arrangement and answer of problems in this study. Data obtained by conducting in-depth readings of primary data and recording identified narratives that can answer research problems. The results of the data analysis carried out were obtained by a number of binary oppositions, namely hope and reality, honor and humiliation, testimony and blindness, eyewitnesses and defendants, stupid and clever, madness and power, as well as losers and heroes. The demolition of the order was carried out by presenting a blind dog figure as an eyewitness in a murder case at a trial.

The results of the study evaluation for class X students in semester 2 of SMK Pelita alam in 2021 or the 2020/2021 academic year show that students' ability to write narrative "carita pondok" is not satisfactory. For this reason, one of the efforts to optimize or improve the ability to write "carita pondok" for class X students of SMK Pelita Alam is to use the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method.This research was carried out using the Class Action Research design, the subjects of this study were students in class X even semester at Pelita Alam Vocational School in the 2020/2021 academic year with a total of 26 students on the subject matter of study materials for the Sundanese language subject. In this study, writing skills "carita pondok" narrative with a time allocation 4 times 45 minutes.This study was designed for 2 cycles (cycle 1 and cycle 2). each cycle consists of 4 stages of activity, namely planning the implementation of observation and reflection evaluation of action. The data collection instrument used was 1 observation sheet 2 assessment sheets of writing skills "carita pondok" narratives and learning outcomes.This research was carried out by researchers as teachers of Sundanese language subjects and assisted by an observer accompanying colleagues. data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data exposure, and conclusion.The results showed that the application of Sundanese language learning strategies with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach could improve students' learning process skills in a better direction with a score of 80 compared to before the action was 70Judging from the ability to write narrative "carita pondok" Based on the results of the ability test to write pondok stories in Sundanese language learning by comparing the scores achieved before the pre-action and after the action learning cycles 1 and 2 were carried out, it showed that there was an increase in a better direction than before i.e. 19%
