Abstract

The Minimal Pairs technique is a technique for investigating the existence of phonemes (language sounds that can distinguish meaning) by comparing two or more forms of speech sounds in the same environment. The minimal pairs technique is used to practice pronunciation skills, especially on similar word sounds and makes it easier for us to distinguish phoneme sounds in English. This study aims to determine student perceptions of the use of minimal pairs technique in class. This research is qualitative research using questionnaires and interviews that ask students' perceptions about the use of minimal pairs technique in class. The results of this study indicate that most students have positive perceptions of using the minimal pairs technique in improving their pronunciation skills. Then they argue that their pronunciation skills improve after using the minimal pairs technique. So that this technique can be suggested as a learning method that will be applied in class learning to improve students' pronunciation skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hakikat evaluasi dalam perspektif filsafat Pendidikan islam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Pustaka (library research). Data yang diperoleh dari hasil reverensi-reverensi penulis didapatkan dalam berbagai buku-buku dan jurnal-jurnal yang diolah dan di Analisa berdasarkan hasil reverensi yang didapatkan, kemudian dikembangkan dengan imajinasi dari penulis agar dapat menghasilkan sebuah tujuan dari penulisan ini. Hasil penelitian ini berisi tentang evaluasi adalah sebuah cara yang dilakukan guna untuk mengetahui sampai dimana tingkat keberhasilan suatu kegiatan pembelajaran. Evaluasi memiliki kedudukan penting dalam suatu kegiatan belajar karena melalui sebuah evaluasi seseorang dapat mengetahui dimana titik kelemahannya serta melalui evaluai ia mampu untuk melakukan suatu perubahan.

Abstract

By applying it, learners walk boldly, educators cannot unite and pay attention to their students directly. This makes educators have to rack their brains to increase student interest in learning. The use of printed books as learning media tends to make students bored, thereby reducing students' interest in learning. Popup books are one solution to increase student interest in learning. This happens because the pop up book provides a 3D picture so it is not monotonous. This study uses the library method with the results of collecting information or empirical data through various literatures including books, other references, and relevant previous research results so as to get answers to the problems studied. This method uses editing, organizing, and finding data collection techniques.

Abstract

Dyscalculia is a skill disorder in exploring mathematics, whether it's exploring the concept of numbers, operating numbers, and their application. Students with dyscalculia are students who have a diagnosis of the central nervous system which can affect their learning process, especially in mathematics. Abstract

Talking is one of the activities that most humans do in relation to social life. The picture and picture learning model in presenting learning media in the form of pictures. This study aims to improve speaking skills with the picture and picture learning model in grade IV MIN 1 Banda Aceh students. This research is a Class Action Research which consists of two cycles where each cycle is held in two meetings. Research procedures include planning, implementation of action, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were 24 students of class IV MIN 1 Banda Aceh g. The results showed that in the first cycle that was completed individually, of the 24 students, only 5 students, 20.83%, met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) or were in the very low category. Classically it has not been fulfilled because the average value obtained is 58.59%. Whereas in the second cycle where out of 24 students as a whole have met the minimum completeness criteria with an average obtained of 76.75% or are in the high category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the speaking skills of grade IV students at Min 1 Banda Aceh through the application of the picture and picture learning model have increased.

Abstract

This study aims to use dictation to improve students' listening skills in Indonesian and to determine the effectiveness of dictation in improving students' listening skills in descriptive texts. This research is a collective action research. This research uses the dictation method to improve the skills of listening to descriptive texts in Indonesian subjects. Action research for this course consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results of the classroom action research showed that students' listening skills improved by using the dictation method. Dictation is a method commonly used to measure students' writing ability. With dictation, students must be able to understand the meaning of what they hear and then write it down while dealing with time constraints.In the end, using the dictation method can improve the writing skills of students in lower grades who initially could only write by looking at the writing on the blackboard or copying, now they are starting to be able to write slowly.

Abstract

The background in this study is the lack of literacy skills in reading and writing, financial, sanis, numeracy and citizenship among students in three schools in the Kampar and Pekanbaru areas. The low ability of the five literacy is thought to affect student achievement. This is due to the low value of student achievement at school. In this study the authors used five literacy, namely reading literacy, numeracy, science, finance, and cultural-citizenship which were applied in three different schools in the Kampar district and Pekanbaru city, namely SDN 009 BINA BARU, SDN 003 Bina Baru Kec. Kampar Kiri Tengah, and SDN 18 Pekanbaru. The research objective is to find out about; 1) Knowing literacy skills in reading, numeracy, science, finance, and cultural-citizenship 2) Knowing the level of learning achievement through these five literacy and 3) Knowing the effect of these five literacy skills on student achievement at SDN 009 BINA BARU, SDN 003 Bina Baru Kec. Kampar Kiri Tengah, and SDN 18 Pekanbaru. In this study using a qualitative approach. the purpose of using this approach is to explain the implementation of the five literacy movement which was carried out to students in three elementary schools in Pekanbaru and Kampar. This research was conducted in three schools, SDN 009 BINA BARU, SDN 003 Bina Baru Kec. Kampar Kiri Tengah, and SDN 18 Pekanbaru. the results of the implementation of the five literacy movement in students and interviews that have been conducted by researchers, implementation at the habituation stage of the School Literacy Movement at SDN 009 BINA BARU, SDN 003 Bina Baru Kec. Kampar Kiri Tengah, and SDN 18 Pekanbaru are in the good category, students can receive new literacy that has never been done in their previous school

Abstract

This study aims to find alternatives to increase students' interest in reading, especially among SMPN 1 Pagaden Barat. Interest in reading is a big influence for students. Efforts to increase students' reading interest at SMPN 1 Pagaden Barat are a shared responsibility, between the students themselves, teachers and parents. However, the low reading interest of students at SMPN 1 Pagaden Barat is one of the obstacles, the lack of desire and willingness from the students themselves, the teacher also does not require students to read books when learning is being taught to students. In an effort to increase students' interest in reading at SMPN 1 Pagaden Barat, it is best if students are given support so that interest in reading emerges from students and is introduced to reading material so that these students are accustomed to reading, therefore the habit of reading in junior high school students will foster a high interest in reading. until students grow up. This research was conducted by formulating a research problem looking for references from relevant and similar journals to analyze the data, journals were collected by searching the internet through Google Chendikia and/or Google Scholar. The data obtained were analyzed and compared with this research method using a descriptive research type with a quantitative approach. From the results of the analysis it can increase students' interest in reading at SMPN 1 Pagaden Barat.

Abstract

Sullivan viewed human life as an energy system, whose primary concern was how to relieve the tension created by desire and anxiety. Cases of bullying that often occur in the world of education in Indonesia are indeed increasingly concerning. Bullying behavior can hurt students, so they feel unwanted and rejected by their environment. This of course will have an effect on various student activities at school. This study aims to determine the application of Harry S.Sullivan's counseling to overcome bullying victims and feel bad when given responses by other people to students of SMAN 1 Galang. This study uses interview techniques. The method of collecting data is by anamnesis to find out the problems of these students. The subject in this study was one of the 11th grade students of SMAN 1 Galang.

Abstract

One of the things that greatly influences students' learning is discipline, which is a condition where students show attitudes, appearances, and behaviors that are in accordance with the rules, values, norms, and provisions that apply in schools, classes, or wherever students are. The purpose of this study is to review the literature on ways to foster student discipline in learning activities. This study uses the Literature Review method. Data were collected by documenting and reviewing all articles related to student discipline development that have similarities with this report. The results of the literature review show that student discipline development can be done by making school rules and introducing the school environment, as well as by using self-control techniques, external control, and cooperative control. Evaluation of discipline development is carried out at the end of each academic year by reporting the results of the discipline development program in terms of attendance and achievement of KKM in the report book. This discipline development has a positive impact on students in learning activities.
