Abstract

The prevalence of pregnant women with K4 coverage at the Cilincing Community Health Center in 2022 remains up to the target. There are still pregnant women who do not have an immature birth plan, so they still choose to give birth to a non-health worker. This study aims to determine the effect of health promotion using leaflets on childbirth readiness in pregnant women. This quasi-experiment research uses a pre and post-test design. The sample in this study amounted to 31 people. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The research instrument consists of a questionnaire regarding childbirth readiness, tested for validity and reliability using Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.876. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample T-Test to determine the effect of health promotion using leaflets on childbirth readiness. The research results show an influence of health promotion using leaflets on pregnant women's readiness to give birth, with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). Health promotion using leaflets increases childbirth readiness in pregnant women. It is hoped that this research can provide additional insight for readers, especially prospective midwives, so they can later apply it when providing midwifery care services to pregnant women.

Abstract

Pregnancy is often found with psychological changes, one of which is anxiety; high anxiety can cause negative impacts in the form of labor pain and the occurrence of maternal and fetal mortality during the delivery process. To prevent and overcome anxiety can be overcome by affirmation relaxation. Relaxation affirmation combines breathing and the repetition of simple positive sentences carried out regularly to improve the condition of being relaxed and self-integrated and create good self-efficacy. This study aims to know the effect of affirmation relaxation techniques on anxiety levels in third-trimester pregnant women at Cibinong Health Center. This study used a pre-experiment with one group, and the pre-test-posttest design—data analysis was done using a paired T-test. Sample selection in this study used a purposive sampling technique, namely sample selection, so the sample amounted to 30 people. The average level of anxiety in third-trimester pregnant women before and after the intervention was based on statistical tests with paired sample t-tests with a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). There is an effect of giving affirmation relaxation techniques to reduce anxiety levels in third-trimester pregnant women at the Cibinong-Bogor Health Center in 2023.

Abstract

The increase in the number of deliveries by CS causes an increase in the number of women with a history of CS for a second pregnancy and becomes a problem for subsequent types of birth. An effort to reduce the incidence of CS delivery is with Vaginal Birth After Caesarean (VBAC). Vaginal birth After Caesarean (VBAC) is a vaginal birth after a cesarean section (Cunningham, 2013). Mothers who are afraid of undergoing a normal birth process are caused by many factors, one of which is the problem of lack of information provided and support from both health workers and family regarding the choice of VBAC method. This study aimed to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge, family support, and health worker support on the choice of VBAC method at TPMB West Jakarta City in 2024. The method used in this research is observational analytics with a Cross-Sectional Study design. The sample in this study was pregnant women in the second and third trimesters with a history of 1 time non-absolutely indicated CS (such as CPD, uterine rupture). In this research, the instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. The analysis used Chi Square. There is a relationship between knowledge and the choice of delivery method, Vaginal Birth After Caesar (VBAC), the value is (p=0.000), there is a significant relationship between family support and the choice of delivery method, Vaginal Birth After Caesar (VBAC), the value is (p=0.000) and there was a significant relationship between support from health workers and the choice of delivery method. Vaginal Birth After Caesar (VBAC) was obtained (p=0.000).

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that often occurs in society, especially in developing countries. The inability to effectively control hypertension, especially when aggravated by stress, can result in a range of complications and ultimately fatal outcomes. Purpose: The aim of this research is to analyze strengthening resilience towards balancing psychological stress in hypertensive patients. The research method uses a cross-sectional correlation analysis approach carried out in the Bangkalan Regency City Health Center Work Area - Indonesia. The population was 68 patients, and the sample size was 55 respondents taken using simple random sampling. Data were processed using the Spearman Ranks Test with alpha (α) 0.05. The research results show a p value of 0.004 with a correlation coefficient of 0.384, which means there is a positive relationship between strengthening resilience and balancing psychological stress with moderate closeness. Resilience is able to regulate the balance of psychological stress which has an impact on the activation of the neuro-endocrine system to control blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
