Abstract

This research aims to determine the interaction between the source of organic fertilizer and the number of seeds per planting hole on the growth and yield analysis of sweet corn plants. The research was carried out from June to December 2022, located in Giwangan, Yogyakarta. This research was structured in a Complete Randomized Block Design (RAKL) with 4 factorial replications. The first factor is the source of organic fertilizer, namely the source of cow manure, chicken manure, compost. The second factor is the number of seeds, namely one per planting hole, and two per planting hole. The variables observed included leaf area, leaf area index, plant dry weight, plant growth rate, relative growth rate, ear weight per plant, ear weight per hectare, ear diameter, number of rows, and level of seed sweetness. Data analysis used variance at 5% level then continued with DMRT (Duncan's Multiple Range Test) at α=5% level. The research results showed that there was no interaction between the source of organic fertilizer and the number of seeds per planting hole on the growth and yield analysis of sweet corn plants. Sources of organic chicken fertilizer (K2) increase the weight of cobs per sweet corn plant, but do not increase the growth analysis of sweet corn plants. The number of one seed per planting hole increases the ear weight per plant. The number of two seeds per planting hole increases the cob weight per hectare. The source of organic fertilizer and the number of seeds per planting hole resulted in a higher cob weight per hectare than the control. Keywords: sweet corn, source of organic fertilizer, and number of seeds.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect and interaction of lequid ferdilizer of fer rabbit urine and NPK inorganic fertilizer doses on the growth and yield of green mustard in polybags. This research was conducted on agricultural land in Rejowinangung village, Kotagede district, and Yoygakarta city. This research was conducted from November 2022 to December 2022. This study used 2 x 3 factorial experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The first factor is the dose of NPK Mutiara fertilizer: NPK Mutiara dose K1: 0.10 gr/plant, K2: 0.18 gr/plant, and the second factor is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (CRD) rabbit urine: P1: 50 ml/plant, P2: 100 ml/plant, and P3: 150 ml/plant. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, stem diameter, plant fresh weight, and root/shoot ratio. Data analysis using multiple tests (ANOVA) and Ducan multiple range (DMRT) 5% The results show no interaction between the dose of NPK and the concentration of rabbit urine. At a concentration of 50 ml/liter of rabbit urine, treatment produced a better shoot ratio than concentrations of 100 ml/liter and 150 ml/liter. Concentrations of 100 ml/liter and 150 ml/liter gave results that were not significantly different in yield (fresh weight) plant. Similarly, the Dosing of NPK at 0.10 g/plant and 0.18 g/plant did not give significantly different of the results (fresh weight) of the plants.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to analyze the growth and yield of three tomato varieties (Solanum lycopersicum) under different fertilizer treatments in a polybag system. The research was conducted at P4S “Lestari Makmur”, Sedayu, Bantul, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors: three tomato varieties (Servo, Permata, Betavila) and three fertilizer combinations (NPK + quail manure, NPK + cow manure, NPK + goat manure). A total of nine treatment combinations were tested with three replications. Observed variables included plant height, number of branches, stem diameter, number of clusters, number of flowers, number of fruits, fruit weight per plant, and fruit yield per hectare. The results showed no significant interaction between varieties and fertilizer types on all observed variables. However, the variety factor significantly affected plant height, number of branches, stem diameter, number of clusters, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and fruit yield per hectare, while the number of flowers was not significantly different. Betavila variety showed superior vegetative growth, while Servo variety produced higher generative performance. Fertilizer types significantly affected the number of branches and clusters, with the combination of NPK + quail manure giving the best results. It can be concluded that Servo variety is more productive in terms of yield, while Betavila excels in vegetative growth. The application of NPK combined with organic manure, particularly quail manure, is recommended to enhance tomato growth and yield in polybag systems. Keywords: Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum), varieties, organic fertilizer, NPK, polybag
