Abstract

Social media is not only a space for entertainment for entertainment activists but also a space for freedom of expression and freedom to argue and convey a message, especially in the context of hadith studies. This research will present the transformation of hadith interpretation in the digital era. The method used is a type of literature; data is obtained through research in books, articles, and journals and then analyzed using a mediatization approach. This research shows that social media has become the central platform for disseminating, interpreting, and understanding hadith in modern society. This phenomenon reflects a shift in how society accesses and interacts with religious information, with social media becoming an effective channel for disseminating religious messages, including hadith.

Abstract

This paper discusses the expression two to one listed in QS al-Nisa>' 11. This paper seeks to record the views of the two figures, namely Abdullah Saeed and Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir, which according to the author, there is a re-reading of religious texts, especially in QS al-Nisa>' 11. This paper uses qualitative research with the type of library research (literature) by referring to primary sources, namely the book Interpreting the Qur'an: Towards a Contemporary Approach and Faqihuddin Abdul Qadir's book entitled Qirā'ah mubādalah. The results of the study show that in understanding inheritance, both of them view that "two to one" must be interpreted contextually, which according to Saeed needs to be adjusted to the needs of today's society and adhere to the principles of justice. Meanwhile, Faqihuddin thinks that the verse must adhere to the principle of equality between men and women. Both views boil down to one idea, namely that the Quran is a holy book that protects the equality of women and men as humans who complement each other.

Abstract

This paper wants to examine the reception of the birru al-walidain hadith in the sadranan tradition in the village of Gunung Gebang, Sleman Regency. The sadranan tradition is one of the local Islamic wisdoms carried out to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. This research departs from the assumption that the implementation of the sadranan tradition is based on the birru al-walidain hadith. The research method used is a type of qualitative research based on field studies. Data collection was carried out through interviews, apart from that, data was also taken from several literatures that have correlations. This research aims to answer three questions, namely 1) How is the sadranan tradition implemented in Gunung Gebang Village, Prambanan District, Sleman Regency? 2) What is the community's view of the sadranan tradition? 3) How is the hadith reception regarding the sadranan tradition? The results of this research are that the sadranan tradition in Gunung Gebang Village has positive values ​​in the view of its people. Explicitly, this tradition is not based on hadith evidence, but implicitly this tradition is in line with the values ​​of the birru al-walidain hadith.

Abstract

Social disparities based on ethnicity, culture, skin color, and lineage are common realities globally, including racial discrimination in the West and cultural differences in various regions. Islam, as a religion that emphasizes human equality, prohibits all forms of discrimination. In Islamic teachings, all humans are equal, with superiority determined solely by their conduct. The Qur'an and Sunnah emphasize the importance of equality in human life. The concept of al-musawah, rooted in Islamic teachings, instills egalitarian values in society at large as a response to various forms of discrimination and feudalism based on lineage commonly found in communities. This study examines the concept of al-musawah from the perspective of the Qur'an and Sunnah, its historical context, and its correlation with humanism. Using documentation and historical methods with a sociological approach, this research concludes: 1) Al-musawah is a concept of equality that fosters egalitarian values in individuals and groups. 2) Historically, this concept emerged as a reaction to discriminatory and feudal practices based on lineage. 3) The concept of al-musawah is closely related to humanism, as both uphold human dignity regardless of ethnicity, culture, or lineage. Abstract

Dalam lanskap global, konflik yang mengikis rasa kemanusiaan terus menjadi fenomena menyedihkan. Genosida yang kerap muncul di berbagai pemberitaan menjelma tontonan sehari-hari, menciptakan luka mendalam bagi rasa kemanusiaan kita. Tragedi di Palestina, Rohingya, dan beberapa kelompok etnis lain menjadi saksi bisu kekejaman rezim yang seharusnya mendapat peringatan tegas untuk segera menghentikan tindakan tidak manusiawi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, rekonsiliasi menjadi langkah penting demi menghadirkan solusi terbaik yang mampu mengakhiri konflik berkepanjangan ini. Melalui pendekatan hermeneutika kontekstual Fazlur Rahman, penulis berupaya menjawab dua pertanyaan utama, 1) Bagaimana konstruksi rekonsiliasi Qur’ani? 2) Bagaimana kontekstualisasi konstruksi tersebut dalam kehidupan masa kini? Berdasarkan kajian terhadap tema rekonsiliasi Qur’ani dan relevansinya dengan era kekinian, penulis menyimpulkan hal-hal berikut, 1) Konstruksi Rekonsiliasi Qur’ani, Rekonsiliasi Qur’ani dimulai dengan upaya menyadarkan semua pihak untuk segera menghentikan konflik. Proses ini dilakukan secara bijak dengan memfungsikan otoritas secara adil, memastikan penghentian kekerasan, dan menanamkan nilai-nilai persaudaraan. 2) Kontekstualisasi Rekonsiliasi Qur’ani di Masa Kini: Aktualisasi nilai-nilai moral Qur’ani menekankan pentingnya memanusiakan manusia dan memperkuat rasa persaudaraan. Dalam kerangka amr ma’ruf nahi munkar, menjadi tugas bersama—terutama organisasi dunia—untuk memberikan sanksi yang tegas dan adil kepada pihak-pihak tertentu. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi harmonisasi antara dunia metaverse dan nilai-nilai Qur'ani melalui pendekatan tadabur Al-Qur'an, mengingat revolusi teknologi virtual telah membuka dimensi baru dalam aktivitas manusia. Meskipun secara fisik terbatas pada satu ruangan, teknologi imersif metaverse memungkinkan penggunanya untuk menjalani kehidupan virtual yang komprehensif, mulai dari bekerja, bersosialisasi, bermain game, menjalankan bisnis, hingga mewujudkan aspirasi yang sulit dicapai dalam realitas kehidupan dunia nyata. Realisme lingkungan virtual yang semakin canggih ini menciptakan tantangan tersendiri dalam membedakan batas antara dunia nyata dan dunia virtual, memunculkan urgensi untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Qur'ani sebagai panduan agar umat manusia tidak terjerumus dalam ilusi virtual. Melalui studi pustaka dengan pendekatan tadabur Al-Qur'an yang komprehensif terhadap ayat-ayat tentang angan-angan, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi enam nilai fundamental yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam interaksi dengan dunia metaverse diantaranya penghindaran fanatisme tanpa landasan ilmu, penggunaan ajaran Islam sebagai parameter kebenaran, penghindaran perbuatan keji dan mungkar, kewaspadaan terhadap kesenangan duniawi, pencarian rezeki melalui jalur halal, serta komitmen terhadap kejujuran dalam setiap aktivitas virtual. Nilai-nilai ini membentuk kerangka etis yang komprehensif untuk memastikan penggunaan teknologi dalam metaverse tetap sejalan dengan prinsip-prinsip spiritual dan moral Islam.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has brought new challenges to social relationships, especially within families. One such phenomenon is phubbing—the act of ignoring one’s interlocutor due to excessive attention to smartphones or other digital devices. This behavior diminishes communication quality, weakens emotional bonds, and disrupts family harmony. This article proposes a preventive solution through Islamic values, particularly the concept of lā yahjura, found in the hadiths of Bukhari and Muslim. In these hadiths, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prohibits Muslims from avoiding or ignoring one another for more than three days, emphasizing the importance of maintaining social ties. This concept is further supported by the CARE strategy (Conscious Awareness, Active Engagement, Responsible Usage, and Empathy Building) as a practical approach to reducing phubbing. By cultivating awareness, responsible use of technology, and empathy in daily interactions, families can rebuild warm and harmonious communication. This study demonstrates that integrating religious values with practical strategies offers a contextual solution to address relational challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Al-Ta’awun dengan makna tolong menolong menjadi istilah penting dalam membangun kehidupan ideal bermasyarakat, terlebih manusia adalah makhluk sosial yang antar individu saling membutuhkan. Namun demikian, istilah agama menuntut untuk bisa diterjemahkan dengan bahasa sederhana dan dapat diterima oleh semua kalangan, sekaligus terealisasi dalam kehidupan nyata. Sedangkan jimpitan, merupakan istilah sederhana dalam memaknai al-ta’awun. Kemunculan istilah tersebut terinspirasi dari sebuah kondisi masyarakat yang membutuhkan dorongan untuk disadarkan terbukanya sikap saling memahami, mengerti, khususnya dalam membangun kehidupan layak antar masing-masing warga. Karya ini berusaha mengungkap pemaknaan ta’awun dalam praktek jimpitan sebagai bahasa penyederhanaan, dan juga berusaha mengurai pemaknaan tokoh masyaraankat pada ayat-ayat ta’awun, sebagai bentuk kontekstualisasi ayat pada praktek tolong menolong. Metode dan pendekatan yang digukan ialah living Qur’an. Penelitian ini berhasil menyimpulkan, bahwa jimpitan adalah bentuk kontekstualisasi atas ayat-ayat ta’awun, dengan bentuk praktek menumbuhkan kesadaran pentingnya bersedekah, dan memungut sedekah masyarakat dalam bentuk apapun, seperti uang, beras, padi, atau apapun yang bernilai ekonomis

Abstract

This research is motivated by the emergence of the "Hakekok Balakasuta" sect in Pandeglang Regency which in its teachings teaches that in practice worship is not as practiced by Muslim communities in general. Because some of the teachings in the practice of worship that are carried out have distorted interpretations. Starting from the addition of an editorial on the sentence of the creed, then the practice of praying which is generally required to be done 5 times a day, this teaching is not required.This research uses the type of research study of the Living Qur'an which is descriptive and qualitative. Through qualitative research with direct observation, interviews, and documentation in Karangbolong Village which became the primary data. The secondary data is sourced from books, journals, commentaries, and literature by following the discussion in this study.This study aims to determine the form of distortion of the interpretation of the ahkam verse in the Hakekok Balakasuta teachings. Such as distortion in the practice of purification, prayer, zakat, and fasting which according to the practice of this teaching is interpreted as praying is not obligatory 5 times, fasting is not by Islamic teachings and the ritual of bathing with the opposite sex as a form of self-purification. Abstract

This study aims to reveal the symbolic meaning of the Rebo Wekasan tradition in the perspective of the study of the Living Qur’an in the community of Cempakasari Village. This tradition is a cultural heritage that integrates Islamic values with local wisdom, which is specifically carried out on the last Wednesday of the month of Safar. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The purpose of the research is to understand how people interpret the symbols in these rituals and their relevance to the Qur’anic values that live in their midst. The results of the study show that the Rebo Wekasan tradition not only reflects efforts to maintain social and spiritual harmony, but also becomes a medium for inheriting Islamic values that are dynamic and contextual. Symbols such as joint prayer, almsgiving, and the use of sacred water are understood as the embodiment of hope for blessings and protection from disasters, in accordance with the values contained in the Qur’an.
