Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how labor force participation and educational attainment affect municipal tax and levy collections in Indonesia. Secondary panel data from 34 provinces between 2017 and 2024, sourced from the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance and the Central Bureau of Statistics, is used in the study. The analytical technique is panel data regression with robust standard errors. According to the estimation results, at the five percent significance level, there is no statistically significant relationship between labor force participation and education level and municipal tax and levy revenues. These results imply that social variables by themselves are no longer the primary drivers of rising municipal tax and levy revenues. Therefore, in order to increase local own-source revenue, local governments must take into account additional aspects including expanding the tax base, improving the quality of tax administration, and optimizing digital tax systems.

Abstract

: This study aims to analyze the effect of Accounting Information System (AIS) investment on the profit and loss performance of PT ABC during the 2022–2024 period. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data derived from the company’s financial statements. The analytical method applied is multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. The results indicate that AIS investment has a significant effect on the company’s profit and loss performance both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination shows that AIS investment contributes substantially to explaining variations in the company’s profit and loss. These findings suggest that well-managed AIS investment can enhance financial performance in the long term. The results of this study are intended to serve as an evaluation and decision-making reference for the management of PT ABC regarding AIS investment, as well as a reference for academics and future researchers in the development of studies in the field of information systems and financial performance.

Abstract

The ornamental fisheries sector in Indonesia has significant potential, including the Guppy (Poecilia Reticulata). FreeFish, an ornamental fish farming business based in Surabaya, faces challenges in marketing and expanding its market reach, despite having a high production capacity. This study aims to formulate a business development strategy using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study on the FreeFish business, through observation, interviews, and surveys of 50 FreeFish customers. The results indicate that marketing strategies, including TikTok content, collaboration with streamers, event participation, and bundling sales, have a significant positive impact on increasing sales and expanding market reach. The BMC approach has proven effective in supporting the development of the fish business and increasing the effectiveness of FreeFish marketing and sales.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of green accounting in a village-owned enterprise (BUMDes Mutiara Welirang, Mojokerto) through its waste-management program and environmental cost treatment. Using a descriptive qualitative case approach, data were collected from interviews with key managers and supporting documents. Analysis triangulates field findings with Environmental Protection Law No. 32/2009, environmental cost concepts, and PSAK 1 stages (identification, recognition, measurement, presentation, and reporting). The BUMDes has operated waste collection and sorting, converted organic waste into maggot-based products and fish feed, and sold recyclable plastics to collectors. However, residual waste is still burned, creating air-pollution risk, and environmental costs are largely aggregated into operating expenses with cash-basis records. Strengthening account classification, budgeting for detection and failure costs, and PSAK-aligned reporting is required to enhance accountability and sustainability.
