Abstract

This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving the efficiency of creative workflows in Visual Communication Design (VCD) through a case study on mascot illustration design and promotional video script development for Mertelu Tourism Village, Gunungkidul. A qualitative approach with the design thinking method was employed, consisting of the empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test stages. AI tools were utilized for brainstorming, data processing, scriptwriting, shot angle planning, and mascot pose exploration. The findings indicate that AI significantly reduces production time, optimizes creative workflows, and enhances idea exploration while maintaining the designer’s role as the primary creative decision-maker. This research highlights AI as a strategic creative assistant that supports efficiency and productivity in sustainable digital design practices.

Abstract

This study applies data mining techniques using the Random Forest algorithm to predict product sales at Toko ritel elektronik di kota Palembang Palembang based on product categories. The process begins with an understanding of the business context, followed by data collection, cleansing, and transformation into a format suitable for analysis. Random Forest is chosen for its capability to handle high-dimensional data and provide accurate classification results. The model's performance is evaluated using a confusion matrix to assess classification effectiveness across different sales segments. The findings indicate that the algorithm can effectively identify sales patterns and accurately predict products based on their sales value. This model contributes to supporting operational analysis, optimizing marketing strategies and inventory management, and serves as a foundation for developing intelligent decision support systems in the information technology-based ritel sector.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged higher education institutions to adopt information systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal services, including academic quality assurance services. Universitas Dinamika, as one of the private universities in Surabaya, through the Center for Quality Monitoring and Assurance (P3M), is striving to develop a quality assurance service information system to support internal audit processes, study program performance evaluations, and quality achievement monitoring. This need is increasingly important in order to meet accreditation standards and compile self-evaluation reports. Previous research has often used the Waterfall method in information system development, but this method has limitations in addressing changing needs. The Scrum method, which is part of the Agile framework, offers a more adaptive, iterative and flexible approach. Although effective in various sectors, the application of Scrum specifically to quality assurance information systems is still rarely studied, especially in the environment of private universities in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and apply the Scrum method in the development of a quality assurance service information system at Universitas Dinamika so that it can present relevant, accurate, and integrated data and information across units in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The issue of the crisis of men's rights and roles in the family is a real social phenomenon and has an impact on psychological, emotional, and relational aspects in the household. This research aims to produce fictional short films that raise the crisis as well as represent the dynamics of masculinity, mental health, and shifting gender roles in the family. The approach used is qualitative, drawing on observations, interviews, literature reviews, and direct production practices. The results of the research are presented as a fictional short film titled Long Sad Task, which depicts domestic conflict and a male identity crisis when their economic role is disrupted. Through a realistic visual approach, minimal dialogue, and the use of gestures and silence as emotional language, this film can build audience empathy, open up space for reflection, and challenge social constructs that limit the role of men to economic aspects.

Abstract

Digital governance increasingly relies on data-driven, platform-based architectures to coordinate interactions among government organizations, citizens, and economic actors. In this study, governance activities refer to operational public service tasks in Bank Jatim’s aid distribution, including beneficiary data verification, MSME eligibility validation, transaction reporting, confirmation based QRCODE, and monitoring, which are decomposed into independent microtasks. Although such platforms improve efficiency and administrative control, participation often remains structurally uneven, favoring actors with higher digital capacity and organizational resources. This study investigates how microtask crowdsourcing can be designed as a socio-technical mechanism to enhance inclusive digital governance without compromising accountability or execution quality. Using a Design Science Research methodology, a web-based microtask crowdsourcing platform was designed, implemented, and evaluated. Inclusiveness was operationalized through participation breadth, task accessibility, and contribution continuity. Evaluation involved functional testing, usability assessment using the System Usability Scale, and comparative analysis of participation outcomes before and after implementation empirically.

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between consumer behavior and financial decision-making among 200 Job Order (JO) and Regular Government employees in Mati City who use Shopee. Using stratified and convenience sampling, data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation to assess the effects of age, sex, and employment status. Results showed very high levels of both consumer behavior and financial decision-making. Age had no significant effect, while sex influenced customer satisfaction and financial knowledge. Employment status significantly affected purchasing patterns, perceived convenience, customer satisfaction, and financial literacy, underscoring the importance of job security and income stability. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.632) was found between consumer behavior and financial decision-making. The findings highlight the need for targeted financial literacy programs and employment policies that promote financial stability. However, the study’s focus on a single city and use of non-probability sampling limit its generalizability. Future research should involve broader populations and additional variables to deepen understanding.

Abstract

Amanzi Waterpark is a water-based tourism destination that attracts visitors from various age groups. However, based on direct observations and interviews with visitors, several issues were identified, including limited access to up-to-date information regarding ticket prices, promotions, operating hours, and ride details. These limitations may affect visitor convenience and interest prior to visiting the location. This study applies the User Centered Design (UCD) approach to develop a website interface that functions as an information and online ticket purchasing platform for Amanzi Waterpark. The UCD process includes understanding the context of use, identifying user requirements, designing solutions, and conducting iterative evaluations. Research subjects consisted of children, teenagers, adults, and families selected purposively. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews conducted at the research site. The result of this study is a proposed website UI/UX design that provides online ticket purchasing features, comprehensive ride information, and updated ticket prices and promotional content, aimed at improving service quality and enhancing visitor experience.

Abstract

GeoTrack enhances the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) in Mat-i, Claveria, Misamis Oriental by addressing limitations of spreadsheet-based data management that restrict visualization and analysis. The system integrates Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to provide spatial mapping, farmer profiling, and agricultural data management through a web-based platform. Developed using open-source tools and an iterative software development life cycle, GeoTrack supports efficient data storage, real-time updates, and interactive map publishing. System usability was evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS), yielding an effective score of 88.5%, indicating excellent user satisfaction and performance. Results show improved accessibility, visualization, and decision-making for local agricultural stakeholders. The system enables better planning through color-coded maps, automated reports, and centralized records. Continuous training and infrastructure improvements are recommended to ensure scalability and long-term adoption across additional barangays.

Abstract

The security of laying hen farms in remote areas without access to PLN electricity remains a major problem due to the high risk of theft and predation. This study designs a solar energy-based security system for laying hen farms in areas without access to PLN electricity. The system integrates a laser sensor - LDR as an intrusion detector, Arduino Nano as a controller, ESP32-CAM for visual monitoring, and a buzzer as an alarm, with a 20 WP solar panel power supply and a 12 V 10 Ah battery. An event-driven approach is applied to activate the camera and alarm only when a disturbance occurs. The test results show a 100% detection success rate with an average response time of 0.38 seconds and a false positive rate of less than 2%. The system's power consumption is 0.52 W in standby mode and 2.2 W at peak load, with a daily energy requirement of approximately 25.3 Wh that can be met by the solar panel. This system is effective and feasible to be implemented in small to medium-scale laying hen farms in remote areas.
