Abstract

This study aims to analyze the specific interpersonal communication barriers experienced by non-biological fathers in overcoming the emotional barriers of their stepdaughters. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. The qualitative approach was chosen to examine social phenomena through a process of inductive reasoning, in which the researcher is directly involved in the subjects’ life context. The data in this study consist of the subjects’ verbal and non-verbal behaviors during the communication process. Indicators of interpersonal communication quality were systematically developed, covering the aspects of openness, empathy, supportiveness, positivity, and equality. The findings reveal that interpersonal communication in this relationship is effective when the father acts as a transparent and optimistic communication partner. Using warm messages and appreciation for the child’s learning process, negative stigma regarding the stepfather was significantly reduced

Abstract

Indonesia's massive conventional motorcycle (CM) market presents both a challenge and an opportunity for electric motorcycle (EM) adoption. While government subsidies and supportive policies have been introduced, adoption rates remain persistently low, highlighting the need for a deeper understanding of consumer perceptions. This study provides a descriptive portrait of consumer perceptions toward electric motorcycle adoption based on a cross-sectional survey of 786 respondents across major Indonesian cities. Nine constructs were examined: Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, Habit, Brand Trust, and Purchase Intention. Descriptive statistics and segmentation analyses were conducted across income, gender, and vehicle ownership groups. Findings indicate that Effort Expectancy and Brand Trust were the most favorably rated constructs, while Habit recorded the lowest means, reflecting psychological attachment to conventional motorcycles. Public charging infrastructure availability emerged as the weakest facilitating factor. Income showed the clearest demographic differentiation, with higher-income respondents reporting more positive perceptions across virtually all constructs. Gender differences were minimal, and current EM owners consistently reported more favorable perceptions than non-owners. These findings provide a granular baseline to inform targeted strategies for policymakers, manufacturers, and marketers seeking to accelerate sustainable mobility transition in Indonesia.

Abstract

Based on the research that has been explained, Kebo Kinul Dance is a traditional art form that developed from folklore closely connected to the daily lives of local people and village traditions, such as the earth alms ceremony. This dance evolved from symbolic representations of community activities, particularly the hard work of farmers in the rice fields, which were later transformed into a dance performance by residents and artists. The essence of the Kebo Kinul movements is derived from everyday community activities. For example, the footsteps symbolize the movements of buffaloes, the shoulder movements represent the strength of the buffalo, and the rotating movements convey energy and enthusiasm. The stiff movements are not considered a weakness of the dance; instead, they have become one of its distinctive characteristics. In addition, the use of costumes made from straw further strengthens the identity and uniqueness of the dance. Furthermore, the costumes and performance forms contain figurative meanings that illustrate the relationship between humans, animals, and the surrounding environment. In general, Kebo Kinul Dance is not merely a form of entertainment, but also symbolizes persistence, togetherness, humility, and gratitude to the Creator for the harvest and the life that have been received

Environmental cleanliness is one of the important factors in determining the attractiveness of a tourist destination, especially in Bali, which is known as a world-class tourism destination. However, the increasing number of tourist visits has also created challenges in the form of rising waste volume and declining cleanliness quality in several tourist areas. This condition has the potential to influence tourists’ perceptions and their decisions in choosing destinations. This study aims to analyze the influence of tourists’ perceptions of environmental cleanliness on visiting decisions to Bali. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to domestic and international tourists. The data analysis technique used was simple linear regression to examine the relationship between cleanliness perception and visiting decisions. The results showed that tourists’ perceptions of environmental cleanliness have a positive and significant influence on visiting decisions. Tourists tend to choose destinations that are clean, comfortable, and free from waste. These findings confirm that environmental cleanliness is an important element in shaping destination image and increasing tourism competitiveness. Therefore, sustainable efforts from the government, tourism industry stakeholders, and the community are needed to maintain environmental cleanliness to support sustainable tourism in Bali. Abstract

This study evaluates the acceleration of stunting reduction in Hunuth Village, Ambon City, using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product) to identify success factors. A qualitative case study method was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. Results indicate a dramatic decline in stunting prevalence from 21.80% in 2021 to 1.9% in 2024, significantly surpassing the 14% national target. This achievement is driven by visionary village leadership and the strategic prioritization of Village Funds for health and sanitation infrastructure. Implementation successfully integrated specific interventions, such as nutrition monitoring, with sensitive interventions like the Healthy Kitchen to Overcome Stunting program and improved waste management. High community participation and empowered health cadres were essential to this progress. While challenges regarding data recording accuracy and consistent household parenting practices remain, Hunuth Village serves as a premier model for institutionalizing stunting mitigation through effective village-level governance and cross-sectoral collaboration.

Abstract

Profitability is a central indicator of corporate performance in palm oil plantation companies because the industry is capital intensive, relies on biological assets, and faces commodity price volatility. This article develops a narrative literature review of working capital management, liquidity, capital structure, and firm size in explaining profitability. The review synthesizes books, review articles, and previous empirical studies on cash turnover, receivables turnover, inventory turnover, current ratio, debt to equity ratio, and firm size. The synthesis indicates that working capital components should be interpreted as operational mechanisms rather than isolated ratios: cash secures operating continuity, receivables represent credit quality and collection efficiency, inventory reflects stock optimization, liquidity balances short-term safety and asset productivity, and capital structure reflects the cost-benefit trade-off of debt. Firm size is positioned as a contextual factor that can strengthen or weaken financial policy effectiveness. This article provides a conceptual framework for future empirical studies without presenting statistical results from company data. The synthesis offers practical guidance for financial managers in palm oil companies to determine an optimal working-capital buffer, accelerate receivables collection, align inventory levels with harvesting and processing cycles, and maintain liquidity without sacrificing asset productivity. Debt and financing decisions should also be aligned with operating cash-flow capacity and firm scale to safeguard profitability amid commodity-price fluctuations.

Abstract

This study examines the productivity of oil palm plantations in Afdeling IV Kebun Baru, Langsa City, Aceh. Oil palm is an important plantation commodity in Indonesia that plays a significant role in the national economy, providing employment, and producing vegetable oil and alternative fuels. Plant productivity is influenced by several factors such as rainfall, temperature, land suitability, fertilization, pest attacks, and production labor. The study was conducted using a descriptive method with secondary data collection in Afdeling IV Kebun Baru PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional VI. The data analyzed included rainfall, plantation production, labor, fertilization, and land conditions in 2023–2025. The results showed that rainfall conditions in Afdeling IV were classified as unstable. 2025 had the highest rainfall of 2,237 mm with two dry months, while 2023 and 2024 experienced four dry months. Unstable rainfall causes a decrease in production because it affects the formation of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), harvesting activities, road conditions, and the quality of production results. Production data shows that production realization in several years did not reach the RKAP target, especially in 2025, which experienced the largest production decline. The 2010–2012 planting year had higher productivity and average bunch weight (AGBW) compared to the young planting year, but in general, AGBW decreased each year. In addition to climate factors, the decline in productivity was also influenced by attacks by long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis), which caused shrinkage of FFB and a decrease in AGBW. Controlled efforts have been carried out through the installation of traps, but the results have not been effective because the plantation location is directly adjacent to a forest area. Other factors affecting productivity are fertilization and production labor. Fertilization is carried out twice a year using Urea, Dolomite, MOP, TSP, and NPK Mutiara fertilizers according to the company's standard dosage. Meanwhile, the harvesting workforce in Afdeling IV numbered 20 people with a contract basis adjusted based on the planting year and average bunch weight of the plants. Overall, the study concluded that oil palm productivity in Afdeling IV Kebun Baru is influenced by environmental factors, particularly rainfall, pest infestation, fertilizer effectiveness, and labor. The results of this study indicate that efforts to increase oil palm productivity require management strategies that can adapt to changing climate conditions as well as the implementation of integrated and sustainable pest control.
