Abstract

This study aims to analyze bureaucratic digital transformation through the implementation of ASN Digital from a good governance perspective at the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Agency of Bangli Regency, identify the factors influencing its implementation, and examine its impact on personnel services. This study employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. Data validity was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. The results indicate that ASN Digital has supported bureaucratic digital transformation and the implementation of good governance at BKPSDM Bangli Regency through the principles of transparency, participation, rule of law, and accountability. Transparency is reflected in information openness and integrated services, participation is demonstrated through the active involvement of civil servants, the rule of law is supported by clear regulations, and accountability is manifested through a documented system that can be monitored in real time. The implementation of ASN Digital is supported by information openness, civil servant participation, regulatory support, and an integrated supervision system. However, several challenges remain, including limited computer facilities, human resource constraints, incomplete administrative requirements, and system maintenance. Overall, ASN Digital has positively contributed to improving the transparency, effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of personnel services in Bangli Regency.

Abstract

Weed management represents a critical determinant in oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) productivity, as weed competition for essential resources significantly reduces yield. The ecological risks associated with synthetic herbicide dependency necessitate the development of plant-based bioherbicides. This study investigated the efficacy of Chromolaena odorata L. extracts derived from different plant organs at varying concentrations in controlling weed populations. A factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was employed, evaluating two factors: plant parts (leaves, stems, and roots) and extract concentrations (0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%). Parameters including phytotoxicity intensity, mortality rate, and regrowth period were analyzed. Results indicated a significant interaction between the variables, where a 30% leaf extract concentration achieved the highest phytotoxicity (73.50%), the most rapid mortality (4.33 days), and the longest regrowth suppression (20.67 days). These findings confirm that the leaf-derived allelochemicals of C. odorata provide a potent and sustainable alternative for integrated weed management in oil palm ecosystems.

Abstract

HIV is a virus that attacks and damages the body's immune system, while the collection of symptoms it causes is known as AIDS. HIV/AIDS is a problem that threatens people worldwide and must be addressed, especially among the younger generation who remain vulnerable to risky behavior. This study aims to determine the HIV prevention strategy through counseling guidance services at RSUD Provinsi NTB. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis applied data collection, data condensation, data display, and data verification, while data validity was checked through credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability. The results show that: (1) the HIV prevention strategy at RSUD Provinsi NTB is carried out through communication, condom use, and Antiretroviral Therapy (ART); (2) the counseling guidance approach is conducted through Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) and Provider Initiated Testing and Counseling (PITC); and (3) the obstacles faced by health workers are patients' lack of awareness and willingness to take medication as well as mental health problems.

Abstract

Quality improvement in the manufacturing industry is generally carried out using various tools sequentially and in isolation. The Quality Improvement Matrix (QIM) has been developed as an integrated tool based on Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Quality Function Deployment, aimed at quality improvement. The QIM analysis stages follow the logic of the House of Risk framework, but are modified for a different purpose namely to assist companies in analyzing defects, root causes of defects, and the prioritization of corrective actions. At present, the QIM still has several limitations: the assessment of Severity and implementation difficulty (Difficulty) do not explicitly account for cost factors. Furthermore, the QIM does not incorporate the Detection parameter, which is an important basis for developing corrective actions. This study proposes an enrichment of the QIM across three aspects. First, the integration of the Extended FMEA concept into the QIM by incorporating cost considerations into the Severity parameter through the Severity Cost (C) parameter, along with the addition of a Detection (D) parameter. Second, accommodating cost and time aspects in the assessment of the Difficulty parameter. Third, categorizing the root causes of defects based on Man, Machine, Method, Material, Measurement, and Mother Nature, with the aim of focusing the development of corrective actions. In addition, the corrective action stage (preventive action) emphasizes the use of Jidoka as one of the available improvement methods. The developed framework is then applied to a case study of a bogie manufacturer and validated through expert assessment within the company

Abstract

Residential fragmentation has emerged as a critical challenge in rapidly urbanizing regions of the Global South, reflecting spatial and social segregation driven by disparities in socioeconomic status, access to infrastructure, and urban services. This study investigates the level of residential fragmentation in Tugu District, Semarang City, and examines its impact on the quality of life of residents in three residential types: gated communities (Graha Padma and Green Oase Homy Residence), formal housing (Jerakah and Tugurejo), and informal housing (Tugurejo, Randu Garut, and Mangunharjo). Using a mixed-methods approach, the study integrates quantitative and qualitative survey data from interviews, field observations, and secondary data. Descriptive statistical analysis is used to assess variations in quality of life indicators, while a SWOT analysis is applied to formulate strategic interventions. Findings reveal significant gaps in infrastructure access, environmental quality, security, and social interaction, where higher levels of fragmentation are associated with lower social cohesion and well-being; informal housing shows the highest vulnerability, while gated communities show better service provision but weaker social integration. Based on the findings, this study recommends specific strategies to enhance inclusivity, improve service accessibility, and social integration in fragmented residential areas. The proposed priority intervention is the integration of drainage systems across residential fragments, as issues of drainage, sanitation, and flood/tidal flood vulnerability are critical points that most influence residents' quality of life. Thus, in addition to enriching theories of urban fragmentation and resilience, this study offers practical policy directions for governments to reduce disparities in basic services while strengthening physical and social connectivity between residential types in secondary cities of the Global South.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of predatory ants Myopopone castanea in preying on Oryctes rhinoceros larvae as a biological control effort in oil palm plantations. The study was conducted at the Indonesian Palm Oil Technology Institute using a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with four treatments, namely F1 (10 ants), F2 (15 ants), F3 (20 ants), and F4 (25 ants) on 5 larvae, and six replications. The parameters observed included the number of larval deaths, time of death, prey search time, and larval biomass. The research data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan's test at the 5% level. The results showed that treatments F2, F3, and F4 were able to cause larval mortality to reach 100% within 14 days, while the F1 treatment reached 95%. The F4 treatment showed almost the same results as F3. The fastest average prey search time was found in F4, namely 4.5 minutes, while the average larval biomass was 9.62 grams. Based on the research results, Myopopone castanea ants have the potential to be biological control agents for Oryctes rhinoceros’ larvae.

Abstract

This research intends to investigate the process of deep learning by utilizing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) framework during the dance performance initiative named “Nusantara Bercerita,” which took place in Grade XII at SMA Negeri 1 Sulang. A qualitative method was adopted, employing a descriptive case study design. The individuals involved in the research included the dance instructor and the students participating in the dance performance initiative. Information was gathered through methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation. To ensure the validity of the data, source triangulation, technique triangulation, member checking, and ongoing observation were utilized. Data examination was conducted via the processes of data minimization, data visualization, and drawing conclusions. The results suggest that the use of Project-Based Learning in dance instruction improves students' engagement, creativity, teamwork skills, communication skills, and self-assurance. Students were actively engaged in every stage of the project, including planning, concept development, movement and choreography exploration, rehearsals, and the final dance performance. Deep learning was reflected in students’ understanding of cultural values, reflective learning experiences, collaborative competencies, and creativity in producing dance works. This understanding was demonstrated by students' ability to explain the meaning of dance movements and relate them to the cultural values represented in the performance theme, rather than merely memorizing movement sequences. Although several challenges were encountered, such as a lack of discipline and coordination among group members, the project was successfully completed through effective communication and teamwork. Therefore, the implementation of a dance performance through Project-Based Learning provides an authentic and valuable learning experience, contextual, and experience-based learning environment.

Abstract

Bus accidents remain one of the major road transportation safety issues in Indonesia, with human factors being the dominant cause of traffic accidents. Antar Kota Antar Provinsi (AKAP) and Antar Kota Dalam Provinsi (AKDP) bus drivers face various operational conditions that may lead to human error and increase the risk of accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the human error factors that contribute to accidents to support efforts to improve bus transportation safety. This study aims to identify human error factors based on the Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) framework and to analyze the influence of these factors on the likelihood of accidents among bus drivers. This study employed a quantitative approach involving 85 AKAP and AKDP bus drivers at Tirtonadi Terminal. Data was collected using an HFACS-based questionnaire covering four levels: Unsafe Acts, Preconditions for Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Supervision, and Organizational Influences. Construct validity was assessed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), reliability was tested using Cronbach’s Alpha, and the influence of the factors was analyzed using binary logistic regression. The EFA results showed that the research instrument formed four factors consistent with the HFACS framework, with 18 items meeting the validity and reliability criteria. The logistic regression results indicated that the Unsafe Acts factor had a significant effect on bus drivers’ accident history (p = 0.025), whereas the Preconditions for Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Supervision, and Organizational Influences factors did not have a significant effect. These findings suggest that factors related to drivers’ actions and behaviors while driving contribute the most to accident risk. The results of this study are expected to serve as a basis for bus operators and regulators in developing strategies to improve bus operational safety.

Abstract

Cost of good sold is a crucial element in a cost accounting system that reflects the total sacrifice of resources to produce a product. This cost of goods sold will determine the amount of profit that will be generated in a production process so that in principle, companies that produce in bulk collect their production costs using the process cost method. Bangun Plantation as part of Region I PTPN IV has its own characteristics and challenges in managing palm oil production. However, there are not many studies that specifically examine the cost structure and calculation of cost of good sold in this plantation. This study aims to determine the amount of the cost of production of oil palm fruit bunches in Bangun Plantation. The research method used is quantitative descriptive research. Based on the research findings, the production cost structure for 2024 at Afdeling I of the Bangun Estate (PT Perkebunan Nusantara III) is as follows: salaries and allowances for management-level employees (3%), maintenance of productive crops (10%), fertilization (32%), harvesting (21%), transport to the mill (10%), overhead costs (16%), and overhead depreciation costs (8%). According to the Work Plan and Budget (RKAP), the average cost of production for the Bangun Estate is Rp 1,020/kg in 2024, with an average production cost of Rp 26,333,838/ha and a production volume of 26.22 tons/ha. The cost of production (HPP) for fresh fruit bunches at the Bangun Estate was Rp 510/kg in 2020, Rp 809/kg in 2021, Rp 963/kg in 2022, Rp 1,545/kg in 2023, and Rp 1,469/kg in 2024.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Link and Match Program between the education and industrial sectors through Field Work Practice (Praktik Kerja Lapangan/PKL) at SMK Al Amanah, Bandung Regency. It is grounded in the gap between the goals of vocational education and actual conditions, since the labor force in Bandung Regency remains dominated by senior high school graduates, while the employment absorption rate of SMK Al Amanah graduates in the 2024–2025 academic year reached less than half of total graduates. The object of the research is the implementation of the Link and Match policy through PKL at SMK Al Amanah. This research aims to describe the implementation of the program and identify the obstacles faced by the school in carrying it out. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method, with informants selected through purposive sampling, including the principal, vice principal, PKL supervising teachers, industry partner representatives, and students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation, analyzed using an interactive model of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, with validity examined through triangulation. The analysis was guided by Van Meter and Van Horn's policy implementation theory. Findings indicate that the policy implementation has been running but is not yet optimal, marked by a low graduate absorption rate, limited practical facilities, and insufficiently effective communication between the school and industry partners. The study concludes that the program's success requires strengthening human resources, improving learning facilities, and fostering sustainable cooperation between the school and the industrial world.
