Abstract

Implementing the scholarship recipient selection process funded by the government is aimed at ensuring students receive adequate education and avoid dropping out of school. This scholarship serves as assistance to help students complete their educational tasks in seeking knowledge until the scholarship period ends, in the form of financial aid to support the expenses incurred by students during their educational journey. However, the selection process requires a long time to ensure that the aid recipients are truly deserving students. To assist in determining eligible scholarship recipients, a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is needed. SAW is a simple ranking method that calculates weighted values based on criteria. With the implementation of the SAW-based decision support system for scholarship selection, the final result obtained from the summation yields A1 as the best alternative for scholarship recipients.

Abstract

With the birth of technological developments, learning in schools or lectures inevitably applies computer-based learning systems, the presence of teaching process technology with the application of educational games for reciting the Koran can be an alternative learning when students are bored or feel tired during learning. Reciting the Koran refers to the activity of reading the Koran, which is a skill that every Muslim should have and needs to be instilled in children from an early age, starting before they enter school. This is an important part of forming their character. However, at an early age, children still tend to prefer playing, and limited methods of teaching the Koran may not be interesting enough for them. Therefore, an interactive learning method is needed using audiovisual aids, such as educational games. This approach not only makes learning more interesting, but also more interactive. This application can increase children's understanding and knowledge about the Islamic religion, especially in terms of reciting the Koran. By applying the concept of learning while playing, children become more comfortable, interested and happy in understanding and practicing the teachings of the Islamic religion.

Abstract

The coffee industry, which encompasses more than 25 million smallholder farmers worldwide, requires efficient and sustainable supply chain management. Integrating Information Systems (IS) with business processes in the coffee sector can enhance operational performance. This study utilizes a combination of literature reviews and field surveys to examine the alignment of IS in the industry. The primary findings underscore the significance of web-based and desktop solutions in facilitating stakeholder access to accurate information. Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) ensure a comprehensive understanding of the system's structure. The integration of IS supports sustainable practices by monitoring environmental impact and promoting fair trade. The discussion highlights the benefits of digital transformation, including improved decision-making and operational efficiency. Adopting structured approaches such as ERD and DFD facilitates effective communication among stakeholders. The integration of IS with sustainable practices reflects a commitment to environmental stewardship and ethical business conduct. Recommendations include the continued development of IS customized to meet the needs of stakeholders, fostering collaboration for innovation, enhancing digital literacy, designing sustainable IS solutions, and advocating for the adoption of IS policies. The implementation of these recommendations has the potential to drive efficiency, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement in the coffee industry.

Abstract

The development of a food ordering and payment information system using MIT App Inventor addresses the need for efficient and convenient solutions in the restaurant industry. This study utilized the Research and Development (RnD) method, incorporating the ADDIE procedure and the MIT framework to design and implement the system. The major findings indicate a significant improvement in operational efficiency, service quality, data security, and customer convenience. By enabling online ordering and payment processing, the system streamlines restaurant operations and enhances the overall customer experience. The secure storage of sales and order data minimizes the risk of data loss and fraudulent activities, ensuring reliable transactions. Furthermore, the system's ability to prevent fictitious orders and provide customers with a user-friendly platform for menu browsing and payment contributes to a more efficient and secure dining experience. The discussion highlights the implications of these findings, emphasizing the system's potential to revolutionize traditional restaurant transactions and improve service delivery. Suggestions for further refinement include additional testing, integration with POS systems, user training, feedback mechanisms, security enhancements, and market expansion. By implementing these suggestions, the food ordering and payment system can maximize its impact on the restaurant industry, leading to enhanced operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
