Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of peers and the implementation of school rules on student learning discipline in grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Sunggal. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative method. The research sample was 99 grade XI students taken through random sampling techniques. The instrument used was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed that peers have a positive and significant effect on students' learning discipline with a t-value of 7.248>t table 1.660 and a significance of 0.000<0.05. The regression coefficient of 0.444 indicates that the higher the student's peer interaction, the higher the student's learning discipline. The implementation of school rules also has a positive and significant effect with a t-value of 2.613>t table 1.660 and a significance of 0.010<0.05 and a regression coefficient of 0.188. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on students' learning discipline, as evidenced by the F-value of 32.387>F table 3.09 and a significance value of 0.000<0.05. The R² value of 0.403 indicates that 40.3% of the variation in students' learning discipline can be explained by peers and the implementation of school rules. This finding confirms the importance of the role of peers around students and the encouragement of implementing school rules in determining the level of student learning discipline

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of marketing strategies on aggregate demand and supply at Amadeus Boutique in Jambi City. The marketing strategies studied include product, price, promotion, and distribution dimensions as independent variables, while aggregate demand and supply are the dependent variables. The study population was all Amadeus Boutique customers, with a sample size of 50 respondents determined using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression using SPSS. The results of the analysis showed that marketing strategies simultaneously had a significant effect on aggregate demand and supply with an Fcount value of 19.87 greater than Ftable 2.58 at a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Partially, product variables (t-count = 3.42, sig. 0.001) and promotion (t-count = 2.98, sig. 0.004) have a significant effect on demand, while price (t-count = 2.65, sig. 0.011) and distribution (t-count = 2.21, sig. 0.032) are more dominant in contributing to aggregate supply. The coefficient of determination (R²) value is 0.684, which means that 68.4% of the variation in aggregate demand and supply can be explained by marketing strategies, while the remaining 31.6% is influenced by other factors outside this study. This finding confirms that the implementation of appropriate marketing strategies, especially in the product and promotion aspects to increase demand as well as price and distribution to balance supply, can support the sustainability of the competitiveness of Amadeus Boutique in Jambi City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of government policy through the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) program on student graduation rates at a private university in Jambi City. The main focus of the study is how access to educational funding through KIP affects academic achievement. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, emphasizing a multi-perspective analysis of public policy. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with KIP recipient students, academic advisors, and student affairs staff. The results indicate that KIP has a significant contribution to opening access to higher education, but its effectiveness in encouraging students to complete their studies on time depends on continued policy support at the institutional level. Therefore, this study recommends that the scholarship policy be integrated with a continuous academic development program, strengthening counseling services, and regular monitoring of study progress.

Abstract

Savings and Loan Cooperatives (SLCs) play a strategic role in supporting the community’s economy, particularly by providing capital access to small and medium enterprises and enhancing the welfare of their members. However, the gap between capital needs and availability remains a major challenge for many SLCs. This study aims to analyze the capital structure and strategies of cooperatives in relation to improving member welfare, using a case study of KSP Nusa Indah. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature study method, collecting data from literature sources, financial reports, and institutional documents. The results show that cooperative capital—whether sourced from internal funds or external loans plays a vital role in providing both productive and consumptive loans to members. Internal capital is considered more sustainable because it is interest-free and supports the increase of the cooperative’s net income (Sisa Hasil Usaha/SHU), which has a direct impact on member welfare. The success of cooperatives in enhancing welfare is also influenced by active member participation, financial literacy, and the integration of technology in data management and service delivery. Therefore, strengthening capital structures and cooperative governance is key to creating a sustainable economic impact for members.

Abstract

Employment issues in West Java Province, particularly in Tasikmalaya Regency, represent a complex and strategic challenge. High open unemployment rates, skill mismatches, and the misalignment between workforce competencies and industrial demands are persistent problems. In this context, human capital—which encompasses education, training, skills, and health—is considered a key factor in expanding employment opportunities. This study aims to analyze the role of human capital in increasing employment opportunities, focusing on Tasikmalaya Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach is employed, as outlined by Campbell and Pederson (2001), emphasizing a contextual and systematic understanding of institutional and social dynamics. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with vocational and university graduates, both job seekers and those currently employed, along with direct observation of job training activities in both urban and rural areas. Document analysis was also conducted to support the findings. The results indicate that strengthening human capital through relevant formal education, contextual job training, and equitable access to education and health services significantly contributes to improving employment prospects. Interregional disparities remain a major obstacle, necessitating affirmative policies based on data and local needs. Multi-stakeholder collaboration—among government, educational institutions, industry, and communities—is essential to establish a more inclusive and sustainable employment system.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using ChatGPT media on the learning motivation of class XI students of SMA Negeri 18 Medan in the subject of Economics. The background of this study is the low learning motivation of students due to the use of monotonous learning media and the lack of exploration of technology in the learning process. ChatGPT, as an artificial intelligence-based media, is considered capable of providing a more interactive and interesting learning experience. This study uses a quantitative method with a one-shot case study design, where one group of students is given treatment using ChatGPT without a comparison group. The instruments used are questionnaires and observations, with data analysis using normality, homogeneity, and product moment correlation tests through SPSS version 26. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the use of ChatGPT and learning motivation with a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.728 and an influence contribution of 51.84%. These findings indicate that ChatGPT is an effective learning media in increasing student learning motivation. Therefore, the use of ChatGPT is recommended to be integrated educationally in the learning process in order to create a more active, independent, and interesting learning atmosphere.

Abstract

The decline in fertility rates is a global phenomenon that is now also occurring in Indonesia, particularly in urban areas. This condition raises concerns about future demographic structure and national economic potential. One of the main factors influencing household decisions regarding the number of children is the economic factor. This study aims to theoretically analyze the influence of economic factors on household fertility rates in the modern era. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from scientific literature, official institutional reports, and reputable journals from the last five years. The analysis technique used is thematic content analysis, referring to three main theoretical frameworks: Household Economic Theory, Demographic Transition Theory, and Contemporary Economic Theory. The findings show that economic factors such as household income, cost of living, education expenses, women's participation in the labor force, and economic uncertainty significantly affect fertility decisions. Modern households tend to delay or limit the number of children due to the substantial costs required to raise children with quality. Moreover, an individualistic lifestyle and preferences for financial stability further reinforce the trend of smaller families. In conclusion, fertility in the modern era has increasingly become a rational economic decision rather than merely a social or cultural one. This study provides an important contribution to the development of population policies that are adaptive to the economic dynamics of society and enriches academic discourse in the fields of demography and family economics.
