Abstract

Reliable volume estimation and BOQ are indispensable for streamlined construction planning. Errors and omissions in manual calculations and communication result in cost overruns, delays, and ultimately lead to conflicts and disputes among the parties involved in the project. This process is time-consuming and prone to human error. One way to improve efficiency is to implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) in volume estimation and BOQ calculations to enhance work effectiveness. Autodesk Revit is one software that can assist in 3D modeling and accurate volume calculations. This research discusses how BIM can aid in the process of calculating the volume of structural columns and beams for the Main Lecture Hall in the Integrated Agricultural Research and Development Center (P4T). Compared to conventional methods, the research results indicate that the implementation of BIM in this project has provided significant benefits in terms of efficiency, improved calculation accuracy, material usage, and cost savings. With the optimization of concrete usage in structural columns and beams by approximately 26.92% and reinforcement volume by approximately 13.55%, BIM has proven to provide significant added value to the project.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a condition in which kidney function progressively declines and irreversibly diminishes so that the kidneys are unable to maintain metabolic, fluid and electrolyte balance resulting in uremia and azotemia. One of the kidney replacement therapies in stage 5 of CKD  is by hemodialysis procedure. There are 5 – 8 g/dialysis amino acids losses during the hemodialysis (HD) procedured , if protein loss is not replaced with adequate dietary protein intake it will certainly affect malnutrition which can increase the risk of mortality. Inadequate protein intake is associated with protein energy wasting. However, the associated impact of protein intake on mortality remains unclear. Literature review was conducted to identify the effect of  protein  intake restriction on mortality risk in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis. Articles were searched through NCBI (The National Center for Biotechnology Information), PubMed/Medline and Science Direct. Prisma Method was used to describe the process of selecting journals in a structured manner so that valid journals are obtained for analysis in this study.  The results showed that appropriate management of protein intake for patients undergoing haemodialysis is necessary to prevent malnutrition, high protein intake can increase phosphorus and potassium levels and risk metabolic acidosis, and extensive restriction can lead to malnutrition and death with the hazard ratio 1.33. It is recommended that protein intake in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis be in the range of 1.0 - 1.2 g/kg/day.

Abstract

This study aims to design a website-based Academic Information System at MA Bumi Persada by considering the designer's point of view using the Treasury Enterprise Architecture Framework (TEAF). TEAF was chosen as the framework because it provides comprehensive guidance for designing an integrated and efficient information system. The research method used is a literature study to understand the TEAF design principles and analyze the needs of an academic information system. Furthermore, a design analysis was carried out involving the identification of business processes, data structures, and user interfaces. The results of the analysis are the basis for designing an academic information system that is in accordance with the needs of MA Bumi Persada. At the design stage, the main focus is to create a structured system architecture that can be easily integrated. The user interface design is carried out by considering the optimal user experience. The application of web technology as a system base provides freedom of access and openness of information. This research is expected to contribute to improving operational efficiency and accessibility of information at MA Bumi Persada. The designed academic information system is expected to be able to support various academic activities, ranging from student management, scheduling, to reporting learning outcomes. With the application of TEAF, it is hoped that this information system can be scalable, flexible, and can develop in line with the needs of MA Bumi Persada in the future.

Abstract

Varying cutting angles are applied to understand the relationship between cutting angles and machining result characteristics, such as surface roughness (Ra). Surface roughness as a dependent variable is influenced by machining parameters, namely depth of feed. Cutting angle, cutting speed and feed speed as independent variables. The aim of the research activity is to analyze the effect of variations in the cutting angle of carbide tools and identify the optimum cutting angle on the surface quality of the axle rail shaft from AISI 4337 steel processed using the dry turning method. The research was carried out experimentally, which had 9 specimens as test material to obtain surface roughness values with variations in cutting angles using a CNC lathe without cutting fluid and a surface test tool. Test data is provided with machine spindle rotation speeds, namely 1200 rpm, 1400 rpm and 1600 rpm. Variations in cutting angles of 25o, 55o, 85o and feeds of 0.1 mm/r, 0.15 mm/r, 0.2 mm/r and a constant cutting depth of 1 mm are used for the dry turning process which is commonly used in industry to reduce the environmental impact . The average surface roughness (Ra-avg) values of 3.05 μm, 2.35 μm, 1.64 μm obtained as a function of cutting angle are part of the optimum cutting conditions on HP9. From the analysis, it was found that the most optimum cutting angle (Kr) was an angle of 85o with an average surface roughness value (Ra-avg) of 1.64 μm as shown in figure 4.3. The results show that larger cutting angles tend to produce surfaces with lower roughness, while smaller angles can increase the tool wear rate. Factors such as cutting speed, depth of cut, and feed rate also influence the results significantly. This research provides important insights for the optimization of machining processes in industrial applications.

Abstract

Head nurse should know all the implementation activities of prevention and control of infection in the ward, but in fact the head nurse still performs the function and role in PPI. This article aims to determine the function and role of head nurse in the prevention and control of infections in Porsea Hospital. The method used was a case study and literature study. The results of the assessment and analysis using SWOT analysis known that PPI team, role in the implementation of the PPI. The function and role head nurse less needed in the implementation of PPI. Head nurse is less involved and considered less influential and was not part in the implementation of PPI. Results of literature studies demonstrate the role of the nurse as chief of staff rooms in the ward who do nursing care to patients are very likely to increase the success of infection control. There has been no direct reference that explains the function and role head nurse in the PPI. Recommendations to the hospital nursing manager in order to increase the head nurse function as a leading manager in the ward through policy support and facilities to support such efforts.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the performance of three classification algorithms, namely Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), and Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) in analyzing user review sentiment on crypto wallet applications available on the Google Play Store . The dataset used includes 1,500 reviews from three popular crypto wallet apps, namely Trust Wallet, MetaMask , and Bitget Wallet. Each review is grouped into three sentiment categories: positive, negative, and neutral. The results of the analysis show that Bitget Wallet got the most positive reviews, while MetaMask and Trust Wallet tended to get less favorable reviews. The study evaluated the performance of each algorithm based on several performance metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. The results obtained show that the SVM algorithm provides the best performance with an accuracy of 90.5%, followed by KNN with an accuracy of 85.3%, and NBC with an accuracy of 82.1%. In addition, SVM also excels in other metrics, such as precision and recall, showing that SVM is more effective at classifying user review sentiment than the other two algorithms. Based on these results, it can be concluded that SVM is the most suitable algorithm for sentiment analysis in crypto wallet applications, which can provide deeper insights into user perceptions of these applications. This research makes an important contribution to the application of machine learning algorithms for sentiment analysis in the financial technology sector, especially for crypto wallet applications.
