Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to determine the results of integrating local wisdom values of the Ammatoa indigenous community in social interactions in state high schools. Methodology: The research used is field research with a qualitative descriptive type. The approach used is a sociological approach. The data from this research comes from primary data and secondary data. The method uses observation, interviews and documentation, while the data collection techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Main Findings: Based on the research results, it shows that the process of inheriting the values of local wisdom of the Ammatoa indigenous community in state high schools is greatly influenced by the efforts of teachers to take advantage of conditions to gain the trust of students, in this case trust provides an example of attitudes towards students, so that it can become a conscious effort that aims to pass on the values of local wisdom of the Ammatoa indigenous people. The inherited values include Pammopporang, Sipakatau, Sipakainga, and Tallasa Kamase-mase. Novelty/Originality of this study: The main breakthrough of this article lies in the interdisciplinary approach used to integrate the local wisdom of the Ammatoa Indigenous community into the social studies education curriculum.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research is intended to determine the efforts made by the Panjalu community in preserving the Nyangku Traditional Ceremony and the participation of the Panjalu community in preserving the Nyangku Traditional Ceremony. Methodology: This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The population in this study were all communities involved in the Nyangku traditional ceremony. The data collection technique is interviews with community leaders, traditional leaders and traditional members. Data analysis uses a qualitative approach to identify patterns, themes and meanings that emerge from participant narratives. Main Findings: The results of the research show that there have been changes in the Nyangku Traditional Ceremony, namely way of dressing which is starting to have modern elements, the opening ceremony which begins with entertainment events and night market, well collaboration with the government level. Community participationefforts to preserve the ceremony includes financial participation the form of assistance from the government and alms from community, participatio property and from pre-implementation to completion, participation in skills by displaying various types of art. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research presents innovation by revealing how the Nyangku traditional ceremony in Panjalu District, Ciamis, West Java, can be contextually integrated into the social learning curriculum, creating a comprehensive learning experience and stimulating students' curiosity about local values and their history. Through this approach, this research presents a new perspective in utilizing local wisdom as a dynamic learning resource and contributes to the development of students' curious character in the context of formal education.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this research is to determine the form of revitalization carried out by the Sumber community in maintaining and developing local culture in Sumber Village, as well as to determine the form of social capital as a form of encouragement for the community to revitalize local culture. Methodology: The research used in this research is qualitative with phenomenological methods. The populationthis research is all the Sumber Village community who are involved efforts to revitalize Rodat Dance. Data collection used this research interview sheets and documentation. Data analysis using content analysis, interviews and observation notes. Data collection carried out through in-depth interviews with community, dance artists, village government representatives. Main Findings: The results of the research are the revitalization process carried out by the Sumber community in reviving Rodat culture by forming new Rodat members, carrying out activities and discovering new characteristics of Rodat dance, introducing culture the younger generation, holding cultural festivals as first step revitalization. Efforts carry out local cultural revitalization activities in Sumber Village are seen based three basic elements of social capital, namely trust in preserving cultural heritage, building social networks to carry out cultural festival activities. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of applying local wisdom in social education creates promising new paradigm in understanding and overcoming social problems. By integrating local wisdom into the social education curriculum, this approach emphasizes relevance and depth students' understanding of the social reality around them. This is not just about providing information about social issues, but also exploring and utilizing existing local knowledge.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to see how the community participates in efforts to preserve the cultural heritage of Muara Jambi Temple. Methodology: The method used in the research is a qualitative method with a naturalistic qualitative type. The locations in this research are the Jambi Cultural Heritage Conservation Agency as the manager and Muara Jambi Village, Maro Sebo District, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. Qualitative methods rely on qualitative data, which can take the form of interviews, participant observation, field notes, or document analysis. Main Findings: The results of this research show that the community already has awareness in preserving the cultural heritage of Muarajambi Temple, which can be proven by the existence of a community founded by the people of Muarajambi Village with awareness of the importance of protecting the environment around Muarajambi Village and the Muarajambi Temple environment. Several forms of community participation, in this case the participation of ideas/thoughts, are considered to be still low because they are not channeled enough. This has not been fully implemented due to a lack of coordination or approach between the community and managers. Various efforts have been made by the management and the community, including protection in the form of restoration, development and utilization of cultural heritage, which can be done through direct promotion or through social media, and Muarajambi Temple is also a scientific, religious, social and cultural institution. Novelty/Originality of this study: The synergy between local culture, participatory innovation and the character of love for one's country is a strong pillar in maintaining the sustainability of Muara Jambi Temple, proving that preserving cultural heritage is a reflection of togetherness and unity in preserving heritage for future generations.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To find out the application of geography learning at State Senior High School 1, South Dampal and to find out the application of environmental care attitudes in schools that are applied to students at State Senior High School 1, South Dampal. Methodology: This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The population in this study were students of class XI social sciences with a sample of 93 people. Data collection techniques with questionnaires and observations. The data management technique is by means of qualitative descriptive using the percentage formula Main Findings: Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that geography learning for students of class XI social sciences at State Senior High School 1 Dampal Selatan, has been running well. In addition, the application of geography learning to environmental awareness is quite good, some students care about the environment at school and some students do not care about the environment at school. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study shows that the implementation of structured and interactive geography learning can effectively instill an attitude of environmental concern among high school students, forming a generation that is more aware of the importance of preserving nature. Through this study, it is proven that a geography learning approach that integrates real environmental issues can increase students' awareness and responsibility for environmental preservation.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to provide an overview of the process and results of implementing online learning in Islamic cultural history subjects at State Islamic High School 2 Cilacap. Methodology: The type of research used by researchers in this research is field techniques using a qualitative descriptive approach. Main Findings: The results of this research include the objectives of online learning for the history of Islamic culture at State Islamic High School 2 Cilacap, which consists of e-learning based learning to make learning materials accessible to other people. The benefits of online learning are to overcome space and time limitations between teachers and students. The advantages and obstacles of online learning. Novelty/Originality of this study This research provides a unique contribution by presenting specific information about the implementation of online learning in the Madrasah Aliyah environment with a focus on the history of Islamic culture. This can be a reference and source of inspiration for further research in a similar context.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to determine the effect of Civic Education (Citizenship Education) learning using the sociodrama method on the social awareness of class V students at Selang State Elementary School, Wonosari District, Gunungkidul Regency. Methodology: This research is a quasi-experimental research. The research design is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this research were class V students at Selang State Elementary School, totaling 57 students and consisting of two classes. Data collection techniques used in research include scales, interviews, observation and documentation. Test the validity of the instrument using the help of Expert Judgment. Test data analysis requirements using normality and homogeneity tests. Hypothesis testing uses the t test with a significance level of 5% . Main Findings: The main finding of this research is that Civics learning using the sociodrama method has a significant positive impact on the social awareness of fifth grade students at Selang State Elementary School in the 2012/2013 academic year. This is shown by the t test in the post test of the experimental-control group which shows a significant difference between the post test of the experimental and control groups after being given treatment Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is the use of a new learning method, namely the sociodrama learning method. Civics learning using the sociodrama method has a significant positive impact on the social awareness of class V students at Selang State Elementary School. This was shown by the t test on the post test of the experimental-control group which showed a significant difference between the post test of the experimental and control groups after being given the treatment.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to explain the differences in attitudes and mindsets of grade XI students majoring in social sciences and grade XI students majoring in natural sciences in the subject of citizenship education. Methodology: The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach and data collection techniques using attitude scales and rubrics. The population in this study were students of grade XI majoring in social sciences and grade XI majoring in natural sciences at State Senior High School 1 Seputih Banyak, Central Lampung Regency, totaling 254 students with a sample taken as much as 20% of the population, namely 51 respondents. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between attitudes and mindsets with an average of 848 and 194.36 for grade XI students majoring in social sciences, while 868.67 and 219.99 for grade XI students majoring in natural sciences in the subject of citizenship education. This shows that grade XI students majoring in natural sciences have better attitudes and mindsets than grade XI students majoring in social sciences. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study is the disclosure of significant differences in attitudes and mindsets between grade XI social science majors and grade XI natural science majors in the citizenship education subject, which provides new insights into how academic background influences their perceptions and approaches to citizenship education learning.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to explore santri perceptions of sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools in Banyuwangi Regency and assess the institution's response to the issue. It then observed how santri in boarding schools understand, identify, and respond to the issue of sexual violence, including their understanding of the signs of sexual violence and their attitudes towards reporting such cases. Methodology: This research uses a qualitative case study design, which allows researchers to explore phenomena in a real-life context. The research locations were several Islamic boarding schools located in Banyuwangi Regency that were selected based on certain criteria, such as having a history of sexual violence case reports or being willing to participate in this study. The participants of this research are santri (both victims and non-victims), boarding school caregivers, teachers, administrative staff, psychologists, and Banyuwangi police, as well as the surrounding community. For data collection techniques using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, forum group discussions, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used interview and FGD transcription, thematic analysis, and data triangulation. Main Findings: The results showed that santri perceptions of sexual violence are influenced by cultural factors, religion, and social norms in pesantren. These findings provide a deeper understanding of the dynamics of sexual violence in pesantren and can be the basis for formulating more effective policies and interventions in addressing this issue. This research also shows that social studies learning has great potential to contribute to efforts to prevent sexual violence in pesantren. Through civic education, social and moral values, and gender awareness, social studies can provide a foundation for santri to understand human rights, respect others, and play an active role in creating a safe and violence-free environment. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in its specific focus, comprehensive methodological approach, and practical implications that can help address the issue of sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools in a more effective way that is sensitive to the cultural, religious, social studies context.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To find out the local wisdom values of the mappadendang tradition which can be used as a source of social studies learning at MTs DDI Amparita. To find out the implications of the local wisdom values of the Mappadendang tradition which can be used as a learning resource in social studies subjects at MTs DDI Amparita. Methodology: The research method used in this thesis is descriptive qualitative research. Data in the research process was obtained from primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation, equipped with technical data analysis using data reduction, presentation and verification. Main Findings: The results of the research show that in the local wisdom of the Mappadendang tradition, the values that can be taken as a source of learning include: 1) The value of mutual cooperation, 2) The value of family, 3) The creation of a society that upholds tolerance, 4) The value of togetherness and 5) The value of love for culture, especially the local wisdom of the mappadendang tradition . Novelty/Originality of this study: This research introduces a new perspective in social studies learning by exploring the local wisdom values of the Mappadendang tradition, which has not been integrated systematically in the formal education curriculum.
