Abstract

The growth of Palembang city coloured by many international events causes souvenir firms develop. Informal sector is a kind of firm which helps family economy. From the phenomenon, there came this research is intended to analyze the capacity of finance resource, intangible assets, and financial performance of the souvenir firms. This research only concerns with small and medium souvenir firms in Palembang city. Data were collected by using questionaires, while method to test the hypothesis used descriptive and regression analysis by SPSS24. The results of this research showed that Intangible Asset more influence in financial performance than financial resource. The role of Intangible assets increased five more times the financial performance, while financial resource only influenced half of it.

Abstract

Improving the quality of higher education relates to the performance of lecturers in the field of education, research and publications, and community service. Improving the performance of lecturers requires the competence and commitment of the university leaders. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership on the performance of lecturers. The study was conducted at the Musi Charitas Catholic University. The location of this research was conducted at two campuses of Musi Charitas Catholic University namely: Bangau Campus and Burlian Campus. The study was conducted for 8 months (September 2017 s.d April 2018). This study used a combination of exploratory research and explanatory research. Exploratory research aims to explore the phenomena of leadership factors that can improve the performance of tridarma for permanent lecturers at the Musi Charitas Catholic University Palembang. Explanatory research is to explain the relationship between research variables that are the influence of leadership variables on the performance of permanent lecturer of the Catholic University of Musi Palembang. Regression analysis was used to examine the influence of leadership on lecturer performance. The result of this research showed that the influence of leadership on lecturer performance was 52,5% while 47,5% of lecturer's performance variable was influenced by other variables outside of this research, including government policy variable, motivation, and lecturer personality.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain concrete examples of learning outcomes based on the internalization of the synergy between the core values of Catholic University of Musi Charitas (i.e. CHAMPION) and the KKNI module (i.e Human Resource Management or HRM) in the Management in the Management Study Program. CHAMPION's core values are Charity, Humanity, Altruism, Managing-capacity, Persistence, Integrity, Open-minded, and Novelty. Internalizing the core values of CHAMPION in the semester learning plan for HRM courses will provide the characteristic that distinguishes them from other universities. The application of HRM which is synergized with the core values of CHAMPION is is likely to produce human resources management from to produce management of human resources from the teaching and learning process that is systemic, holistic, interdisciplinary and participatory. Based on the results of the study, it has an impact on learning outcomes; attitudes and values are 29.58%, general skills are 14.79%, special skills are 33.80%, and mastery of knowledge is 21.83%. Three very interesting learning methods are; Student centered learning is 39.47%, group interaction / discussion is 32.89%, and project-based learning is 27.63%. Learning experience; the task is 29%, composing papers is 27%, practicing is 20%, surveys or visits are 16%, and comparative studies are 8%. Assessment criteria / rubric; Assignment tests as courses, projects, portfolios are 35.9%, written tests are 30.9%, , performance tests are 16.9%, observation tests are 7%, and participation tests are 2.8%.. Based on the aforementioned data, the Semester Learning Plan is designed for Human Resource Management based on CHAMPION core values.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are : 1) the application of service delivery system that can be applied by Bank Rakyat Indonesia in Palembang, 2) the influence of physical support and contact personnel on customers, 3) the influence of service delivery system on customer loyalty at Bank Rakyat Indonesia in Palembang. This study is conducted by survey method so as to describe the participants response. The samples are taken by using simple random sampling with 100 respondents. The data collection instruments were observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The data collected was analysed by using descriptive and matrix analysis. The results of this research shows that all independent variables (physical support and contact personnel) significantly and positively influence the dependent variables (loyalty of the customers).

Abstract

The research aims to prove the influence of the complexity of the tasks faced by the Auditor on on his or her performance. The complexity of tasks related to various problems in the company requires requires internal and external locuses of control to maintain independence and competence.The first auditor performance case occurred in 2002 with the disclosure of the Enron case involving the KAP in the big five, Athur Anderson. In 2008 the Telkom case affected the closure of KAP Edy Priyanto, and there were still many other cases which were violations of the accountant's code of ethics. This quantitative research attempted to prove the variables of task complexity and locus of control on the auditor’s performance. 46 junior auditors from several KAPs in Surabaya participated in this study. Furthermore, this study employs Partial Least Square test. The study results shows that the complexity of the task affects the performance of the Auditor.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the Effect of Job Satisfaction, Motivation, Work Involvement on Organizational Commitment in Bangau Campus Employees at Catholic University of Musi Charitas in Palembang. Research respondents were the employees as educators, namely lecturers without additional assignments and lecturers with additional (structural) assignments and employees as educational support staff at the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Business and Accounting at Catholic University of Musi Charitas in Palembang. The results of the discussion Against Organizational Commitment In Bangau Campus Employees At Catholic University Musi Charitas of Job Satisfaction, Motivation, Work Involvement. Analysis techniques uses quantitative and qualitative analysis. The research method is a case study. Sampling technique is convinience.. The results of the study are expected to be beneficial to improve job for improving job satisfaction, motivation, involvement and organizational commitment. Furthermore, the results may be beneficial as inputs for various policies needed for the progress and continuity of organizational life. Finally, for further research, this study may be used as the information materials by combining other variables outside the variables that have been studied.

Abstract

Value is highyly needed in an organization, and in a “status quo” situation, for taking decision and facing a complex problems.University X (PT) is a result of merging of three Colleges (Sekolah Tinggi). That are Engineering college (STT), Economic Science College (STIE), and Health Science College (STIKES). As a University, those three colleges change into faculties, that are Faculty of Science and Technolog (FST), Faculty of Business and Accounting (FBA), and Faculty of Health Science (FIKES) Charity value is equality profile of human resources tha aim to be developed. The problem is the value internalization level still remains unknown, and also planning that is able to the value to be organization culture so it is seen in individual attitude of academic community. The research aims to (1) Evaluate the implementation/internalization of Charity value at PT X. (2) Indentify factors that cause internalization of charity value that is less optimal.(3) Design strategy in order to optimize the proces of internalizing charity value. Generally the problems solving process follows these steps: (1) Formulate the problem. The identification result showed that there was 29% GAP in Charity value. (2) Analyze the problem. Some factors that become main problem in intenarlizing the Charity values are individual character, knowlegde, skill, and previous organization culture (3) Search for alternative solutions. Selected program of specification design to minimize the present GAP, that are teaching-learning activities (KBM), Team Building/Refreshing, Training/Course, Seminar/Workshop/Converence, Mentoring, and Students’ organization ctivities. (4) Decide among the alternative and Specify the solution. The chosen program result is teaching-learning activities.

Abstract

The aim of this reseach is to analyze the impact of Service Quality towards Students’ Satisfaction within Musi Charitas Chatolic University (MCCU). Service quality has five determinant factors that are reliability, responsiveness, assurance, emphathy and tangible. These determinants must fit with MCCU basic values CHAMPION. Research sample of 214 students from three faculties of MCCU used convenience sampling technique. Data analyze technique used Simple Regression and frequent tabulation. The results showed that students have not been satisfied yet with the service quality required and student still need continuously improvement to improve sustainability competitiveness.

Abstract

One attempt to create a processed product of fishery products in the form of finished goods which main raw material are fishery products is by processing it into crackers. Crackers are generally made from tapioca flour as a source of starch with the addition of spices and water which have a low nutrient content. Addition of nutritional crackers can be done by adding fish meat. While on the other hand, the type of fish as the main raw material for making fish crackers greatly influences the color, texture and taste of fish crackers. As in the case with squid crackers which have distinctive taste and performance when compared to other fish crackers. To see the potential of the squid cracker business, it is necessary to conduct research to see whether the processing of squid into squid crackers is able to provide increased income or in other words whether the squid cracker business is feasible or not and how much added value from processing squid to squid crackers. This study aims to look at the feasibility of squid cracker business in terms of financial aspects and to determine the amount of added value obtained from processing squid into squid crackers. The research showed that the development of a squid cracker business was feasible and prospective to be carried out. The manager of squid crackers will get maximum benefits, indicated by the value of Profit (?) = 179,280,742, -per year; BEP on the basis of sales = Rp. 2.160,612,457, -; BEP on a unit basis = 60,017 kg; R / C Ratio = 1.09 (R / C> 1); Rentability = 35.02% (R> 14%) NPV = Rp. 400,130,569, - (NPV> 0); IRR = 27.57% (IRR> 14%); Net B / C = 1.58 (Net B / C ? 0); PP = 4.46 years / 53.5 months (PP <10 years). While based on value added analysis, the production of squid crackers gets an added value of Rp. 11,231 per kilogram with a value-added ratio of 41.60%, a labor compensation of Rp. 1,500, -per kilogram of raw materials, labor parts 13.36% of added value, Rp. 9,731, per kilogram and profit rate of 86.64% of added value.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the impact of motivation on students’ achievement in studying English of Faculty of Science and Technology. The reason of carrying out the research is the low scores of the majority students of Computer Information System (SI) and Technology Information (IF) Study Program of Faculty of Science and Technology. The research was conducted at the Computer Information System Study Program and Technology Information Study Program of Faculty of Science and Technology, Musi Charitas Catholic University, Palembang. There were 30 students taken as the samples of the research by using non-probabilities technique. The respondents’ profile is based on the gender and the study program. Most of the repondents are male. The number of the students from the Technology Information Program are more than those who come from the Computer Information Study Program. The method used in the research was a survey. The technique of collecting data was using questionnaire for motivation, and for the data of learning achievement is taken from the cumulative scores of the average scores of the daily tests and the final exam. The data was analysed using descriptive statistical method and simple regression analysis. To test the statistics is used the t test. Most of the students have average and low motivation and they also have average and low learning-achievement in studying English. The data analysis and interpretation showed that there is no significant effect of motivation on the students’ achievement in studying English
