Abstract

Waste is a material that cannot be reused and has no utility value. This service aims to prevent the accumulation of waste that can cause environmental pollution, uncleanliness and unhealthy in the campus area. One alternative solution to the waste problem is to use the ecobrick technique. This service method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR), through to know, to understand, to plan, to action, to reflection (5T). The results of this service activity are transforming plastic waste using the ecobrick technique into an aesthetic photo spot through recycling plastic waste to facilitate the instagenic era for students who like to update stories on social media such as TikTok, Instagram (IG), and other popular social media. Therefore, the transformation service activity regarding waste that is changed using the ecobrick technique is very beneficial in various segments, students who like to take photos, the beauty of the environment, and can provide a solution to the accumulation of inorganic waste.

Abstract

The habit of consuming snacks that are low in nutrition and high in additives is a risk factor for stunting in school children. Lack of knowledge of nutritional content makes it difficult for students to choose healthy foods. This condition was also found at SD NU 02 Diponegoro Wuluhan Jember, where the majority of students bought snacks from street vendors with attractive appearance but minimal nutrition. This service program aims to increase students' knowledge through interactive education using ARJASS (Augmented Reality Healthy School Snacks). The activity was attended by 76 students in grades I–VI, including socialization, training in application use, practice, and evaluation through questionnaires and quizzes. The results show a high positive response: Application content 92%, accuracy 85%, display 97%. In addition, 80% of students obtained quiz scores >80, indicating a good increase in knowledge. AR technology has been proven to be effective, interesting and fun, so it has the potential to become a sustainable nutrition education strategy in preventing stunting from an early age.

Abstract

MSMEs play a major role in Indonesia’s economy, yet rural entrepreneurs still face challenges in digital literacy, branding, and modern marketing. Kalibaru Manis Village, with its potential in coffee, Etawa goat milk, and cassava chips (opak), struggles with product standardization, limited promotion, and low technology adoption. The PASEBAN KAWIS program was implemented using a Participatory Action Research approach through training, mentoring, and the use of an interactive digital module application. Evaluation with pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in participants’ digital competence, from an average score of 51.1 to 83.5 or a 62.5% improvement, with 95% participation. Skills improved in product photography, branding, digital marketing, and marketplace utilization. In total, 93% of \participants found the program relevant to their business, and 87% were ready to apply digital strategies sustainably. By integrating technology and local wisdom, this program successfully enhanced MSME capacity and strengthened a village-based creative entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Abstract

Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Kelompok 07 Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat, UINSU, di Desa Petatal, mengintegrasikan promosi kesehatan dengan prinsip ekoteologi Islam. Tujuannya adalah mengatasi masalah kesehatan dasar seperti rendahnya kesadaran lingkungan dan kebiasaan merokok. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi partisipatif, dengan program utama berupa penanaman pucuk merah dan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA), didukung oleh penyuluhan PHBS, skrining kesehatan, dan edukasi bahaya judi online serta narkoba. Hasilnya, program ini efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat. Luaran yang dihasilkan mencakup peningkatan kemandirian kesehatan keluarga dan kesadaran ekologis. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil menumbuhkan pemahaman bahwa menjaga lingkungan adalah bagian dari tanggung jawab moral dan spiritual, sesuai dengan target yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Karangharjo Village, located in the Silo District of Jember Regency, exhibits a low level of community education and an economic resilience rating that falls below the national average. During the inaugural year, the collaborative service initiative with PKBM Rumah Pintar concentrated on enhancing application-oriented educational services through ROOMPI. Preliminary assessments indicated an immediate necessity to enhance community entrepreneurial capabilities, especially in financial literacy, digital marketing, and technology application. Consequently, in the advanced phase, the application-oriented entrepreneurship service ROOMPI-HUB was created as a digital platform to enhance micro-business competencies. The employed approaches include of needs assessment, thematic training, mentoring, and the creation of prototype-based application functionalities. The recently introduced feature, the Digital Business Hub, enables students and the public to access interactive modules, discussion forums, and entrepreneurship training services. The training materials encompass financial literacy, micro-business management, product photography, digital branding, and marketing methods through marketplaces. The activity's results indicate a substantial enhancement in competence, as evidenced by pre-tests and post-tests of 20 participants, reflecting an average increase of 62.5%. Specifically, comprehension of photography rose by 63.2%, product downstreaming by 58.1%, digital branding by 68.9%, and digital marketing techniques by 63.8%. The attendance percentage attained 95%, with 90% of participants evaluating the program as pertinent to their enterprises, and 80% indicating their preparedness to implement sustainable digital initiatives. This program not only promoted technological innovation through ROOMPI-HUB but also effectively enhanced the entrepreneurial literacy of the Karangharjo community. The integration of technology with practical training has demonstrated the ability to enhance the competitiveness of micro-enterprises within the SME sector. To maintain the sustainability of this digital ecosystem, long-term support is essential for the continued development of applications and user capacity in accordance with local needs.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan sebagai wujud komitmen Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan keluarga melalui penerapan teknologi Budidaya Ikan dalam Ember (Budikdamber) berbasis pakan alternatif dedak padi pada Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Kusuma Tani di Desa Sikanco, Kecamatan Nusawungu. Latar belakang program berangkat dari tingginya biaya pakan ikan yang mencapai lebih dari separuh biaya produksi serta kurangnya pemanfaatan limbah dedak padi sebagai sumber daya lokal. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberdayakan KWT agar mampu mengelola budidaya ikan skala rumah tangga dengan biaya lebih efisien sekaligus meningkatkan kemandirian pangan keluarga. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan intensif, serta evaluasi secara partisipatif. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan anggota KWT dalam merakit sistem Budikdamber, memproduksi pakan dedak terfermentasi, dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada pakan komersial.

Abstract

Ecoprint batik innovates traditional batik art by using leaves, flowers, and plants to create environmentally friendly motifs. While ecoprint has typically been applied to fabric, bags, or paper, evolving creativity and lifestyle needs call for new media to enhance variety and market value. Mugs present a promising option. The Community Empowerment Partnership (PKM) program in Suci Village, Panti District, Jember Regency, aims to empower women by offering ecoprinting training on mugs using natural materials. This activity has three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. As a result, participants have improved their skills, creativity, and environmental awareness. The ecoprint batik training resulted in the creation of unique mugs featuring natural motifs from leaves and flowers, printed directly on their surfaces. The motifs vary depending on the type of leaf; for instance, teak leaves produce coarse fiber designs.

Abstract

The PASEBAN KAWIS program was designed to digitize MSMEs in Kalibaru Manis Village through an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based educational application and an e-catalog website. The background for this activity was low digital literacy, limited market access, and a lack of standardization of local products such as coffee, cassava, and Etawa goat milk. The implementation method uses a participatory approach involving village officials, BUMDes, MSME actors, and students, with stages of needs analysis, application and e-catalog development, training, mentoring, and implementation evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in participants' digital skills, ease of creating promotional content, and expanded market access for village products. The e-catalog website displays a structured product catalog, while the AI chatbot supports interactive learning. The program outputs include an AI education application, an e-catalog website, an MSME digitization module, and an increase in product turnover of ±20%. In conclusion, PASEBAN KAWIS is effective in strengthening digital literacy, product branding, and building a village digital entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Abstract

Usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) batik di Jember menghadapi sejumlah tantangan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan kapasitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam hal manajemen usaha, inovasi desain, dan literasi digital masih menjadi hambatan utama dalam peningkatan daya saing UMKM batik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan yang berorientasi pada pemberdayaan, di mana masyarakat didorong untuk mengenali potensi yang dimiliki, mengidentifikasi masalah yang dihadapi, serta menemukan solusi yang relevan melalui proses kolaboratif antara tim pelaksana dan mitra dampingan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pemilik UMKM dan karyawan mempunyai pemahaman dan keterampilan baru tentang literasi digital, manajemen usaha, serta inovasi desain batik. Pemilik kini lebih terampil dalam memanfaatkan media sosial dan marketplace untuk memperluas jaringan pemasaran, serta mampu melakukan pencatatan keuangan digital yang lebih rapi dan akurat.

Abstract

Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menghasilkan karya ilmiah masih menghadapi kendala, khususnya dalam pengelolaan referensi dan sitasi yang sering dilakukan secara manual. Hal ini menimbulkan kesalahan pengutipan, ketidakkonsistenan daftar pustaka, serta risiko plagiasi, terutama pada penulisan tugas akhir, artikel, maupun karya ilmiah lainnya. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dilaksanakan program pelatihan manajemen referensi berbasis aplikasi Mendeley dan Zotero. Kegiatan dilakukan secara on campus dengan metode workshop dan praktik langsung, baik individu maupun kelompok. Materi mencakup instalasi aplikasi, pengelolaan database referensi, hingga penerapan sitasi otomatis sesuai kaidah akademik. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa, yang terlihat dari kerapian sitasi, konsistensi daftar pustaka, serta kemampuan menghasilkan karya tulis yang lebih sesuai standar ilmiah. Beberapa peserta bahkan mampu menyusun artikel yang layak dipublikasikan pada jurnal mahasiswa maupun jurnal bereputasi.
