Abstract

This community service program aims to overcome the low efficiency of agricultural land management in Kalibaru Manis Village, Banyuwangi, by focusing on increasing farmers' knowledge in utilizing drone technology for mapping. This training provides theory and practice of drone operation and processing aerial image data using Geographic Information System (GIS) software. The implementation method includes preparation, training, and evaluation stages. Participants were trained to operate drones, retrieve image data, and analyze it to produce land maps. A collaborative approach between lecturers, students, and practitioners was applied to ensure the success of the program. As a result, participants are able to use drones independently and utilize the data for more effective land management. This program increases agricultural productivity and supports environmental sustainability through the application of modern technology.

Abstract

Abstract. Potato production is strongly influenced by the selection of suitable land for crops. Criteria for land suitability of planting potatoes is influenced by climatic factors and land characteristics. planted area clustered based on 11 criteria land suitability. The clustering results in the form of four clusters, namely: very suitable (S1), appropriate (S2), is quite suitable (S3) and are not suitable (N). Clustering of land aims to improve the quality and quantity of the potato crop. Clustering is done using a hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization with K-Means (KCPSO). The hybrid method is used to obtain an accurate result cluster. In this study used a new approach to doing improve KCPSO with random injection method. The calculation of the value of cost based on the silhouette coefficient. The results obtained KCPSO showed better results when compared to using the K-Means algorithm without hybrid. The calculation result KCPSO get the best centroid indicated by the value of the largest Silhouette coefficient.Keywords: Clustering, K-Means, Particle Swarm Optimization, random injection, silhouette Coefficient.

Abstract

MSMEs play a major role in Indonesia’s economy, yet rural entrepreneurs still face challenges in digital literacy, branding, and modern marketing. Kalibaru Manis Village, with its potential in coffee, Etawa goat milk, and cassava chips (opak), struggles with product standardization, limited promotion, and low technology adoption. The PASEBAN KAWIS program was implemented using a Participatory Action Research approach through training, mentoring, and the use of an interactive digital module application. Evaluation with pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in participants’ digital competence, from an average score of 51.1 to 83.5 or a 62.5% improvement, with 95% participation. Skills improved in product photography, branding, digital marketing, and marketplace utilization. In total, 93% of \participants found the program relevant to their business, and 87% were ready to apply digital strategies sustainably. By integrating technology and local wisdom, this program successfully enhanced MSME capacity and strengthened a village-based creative entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Abstract

Karangharjo Village, located in the Silo District of Jember Regency, exhibits a low level of community education and an economic resilience rating that falls below the national average. During the inaugural year, the collaborative service initiative with PKBM Rumah Pintar concentrated on enhancing application-oriented educational services through ROOMPI. Preliminary assessments indicated an immediate necessity to enhance community entrepreneurial capabilities, especially in financial literacy, digital marketing, and technology application. Consequently, in the advanced phase, the application-oriented entrepreneurship service ROOMPI-HUB was created as a digital platform to enhance micro-business competencies. The employed approaches include of needs assessment, thematic training, mentoring, and the creation of prototype-based application functionalities. The recently introduced feature, the Digital Business Hub, enables students and the public to access interactive modules, discussion forums, and entrepreneurship training services. The training materials encompass financial literacy, micro-business management, product photography, digital branding, and marketing methods through marketplaces. The activity's results indicate a substantial enhancement in competence, as evidenced by pre-tests and post-tests of 20 participants, reflecting an average increase of 62.5%. Specifically, comprehension of photography rose by 63.2%, product downstreaming by 58.1%, digital branding by 68.9%, and digital marketing techniques by 63.8%. The attendance percentage attained 95%, with 90% of participants evaluating the program as pertinent to their enterprises, and 80% indicating their preparedness to implement sustainable digital initiatives. This program not only promoted technological innovation through ROOMPI-HUB but also effectively enhanced the entrepreneurial literacy of the Karangharjo community. The integration of technology with practical training has demonstrated the ability to enhance the competitiveness of micro-enterprises within the SME sector. To maintain the sustainability of this digital ecosystem, long-term support is essential for the continued development of applications and user capacity in accordance with local needs.

Abstract

The PASEBAN KAWIS program was designed to digitize MSMEs in Kalibaru Manis Village through an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based educational application and an e-catalog website. The background for this activity was low digital literacy, limited market access, and a lack of standardization of local products such as coffee, cassava, and Etawa goat milk. The implementation method uses a participatory approach involving village officials, BUMDes, MSME actors, and students, with stages of needs analysis, application and e-catalog development, training, mentoring, and implementation evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in participants' digital skills, ease of creating promotional content, and expanded market access for village products. The e-catalog website displays a structured product catalog, while the AI chatbot supports interactive learning. The program outputs include an AI education application, an e-catalog website, an MSME digitization module, and an increase in product turnover of ±20%. In conclusion, PASEBAN KAWIS is effective in strengthening digital literacy, product branding, and building a village digital entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Abstract

Desa Karangharjo merupakan desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Silo, Kabupaten Jember, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Lokasinya yang berada di lereng pegunungan membuat lingkungannya cocok untuk ditanami komoditas pertanian dan perkebunan. Keragaman dan akulturasi budaya di Desa menjadi daya tarik yang menjanjikan untuk dijadikan destinasi desa wisata. Ada juga beberapa layanan wisata yang sudah mulai diinisialisasi antara lain; edukasi alam dan outbond. Melihat potensi tersebut dan hasil kesepakatan bersama mitra digagas agro edu wisata di Desa Karangharjo. Berdasarkan kesepakatan bersama mitra di peroleh kesepakatan Tiga Permasalahan Utama yang akan diselesaikan pada pemberdayaan wisata pada tahun 2024 yaitu: belum adanya perencanaan dan strategi pengembangan wisata yang baik. kurangnya kemampuan manajemen wisata pada anggota BUMDesa, masih minimnya kualitas layanan wisata yang ditawarkan. solusi dari permasalahan tersebut yaitu pengembangan edu wisata dengan konsep Sustainable Tourism yang meliputi pengembangan roadmap, penguatan softskill BUMDesa dan Peningkatan kualitas layanan agro edu wisata. Prinsip-prinsip pada konsep tersebut mencakup upaya untuk melestarikan dan memperbaiki lingkungan, pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal, serta memastikan manfaat ekonomi yang adil bagi semua pihak. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi selama 3 bulan diperoleh berbagai masukan terkait pengelolaan wisata, sistem manajemen wisata dan telah dilakukan inisiasi kerjasama terhadap customer potensial yaitu sekolah dasar dan sederajat di Kabupaten Jember.

Abstract

Cancer is typically linked to malignant tumors that can metastasize to extensive body tissues. Breast cancer arises from the uncontrolled proliferation of breast cells, resulting in the formation of benign and malignant tumors. Breast cancer presents various indicators, including small, round, and soft lumps associated with benign breast conditions and non-cancerous growths. In contrast, malignant breast cancer presents as asymmetrical, irregular, painful, and various other manifestations. If untreated, the tumor may metastasize and present a fatal risk. This study intends to evaluate the efficacy of Sequential Feature Selection, Chi-Square, and Embedded methods in classifying breast cancer, alongside implementing hyperparameter optimization via grid search on the random forest algorithm. This study utilizes the Wisconsin Breast Cancer dataset from the UCI Machine Learning Repository, comprising 569 data entries, 30 attributes, and 1 class label. The performance of the model is assessed using a Confusion matrix, which quantifies accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The test results were derived from twenty testing schemes employing a combination of data splitting, cross-validation, and hyperparameter tuning via grid search. The optimal performance outcomes were achieved using the random forest model, which was subjected to hyperparameter tuning alongside SFS feature selection. The integration of 20 features yielded an accuracy of 97.37%, precision of 95.83%, recall of 97.87%, and an F1 score of 96.84%. The employed prediction model demonstrates effective performance in identifying both positive and negative classes. The model accurately predicted the true negative class in 66 instances. The model accurately identified the true positive class in 46 instances. One instance involved the model predicting a false positive class, while another instance involved the model predicting a false negative class. These results demonstrate that the model exhibits a high degree of accuracy with negligible prediction errors.
