Abstract

This research aim are to studying adhesion characteristic of shoes adhesive, ie viscosity, tack and peel strenght. Shoes adhesive made from natural rubber and synthetic rubber (SBR) with toluene as the solven. SRB composition in the mix are 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% weight. Three variation of phenol formadehyde composition are 40, 80 and 120 per hundred parts of rubber (phr). The results show us that the viscosity lower as the % SBR added is higher, and the loop tack has the highest value at 20% SBR added. The peel tack has highest value at 60% SBR added for three peel test model, except on the control sample. For every same % SBR composition, adhesive sample that has 40 phr phenol formaldehyde composition, gives higher loop tack and peel strenght value. We can conclude from this results that adhesive with 40% phenol formaldehyde composition will give optimum wettability from adhesive to substrat.

Abstract

Most shoes craftsmen are small and cottage industries who still working in a traditional way with limited capital. To assy shoes stiffener made of iron / shank on the soles, especially for shoes / footwear with relatively high heel are still beating it with a hammer to do for forming / bending of the reinforcing steel. This resulted in a relatively long process of attachment as to form a reinforcing steel follows the contour of the reference it self takes a long time. To overcome this then designed steel shank press machine that price is still affordable to the home craftsmen shoes / footwear. Therefore author conducted through a research design " SHANK STEEL PRESS TOOL ENGINEERING OF SHOES WITH SCREW DRIVE SYSTEM FOR SMALL INDUSTRIES ". This research was conducted with the aim to create a pressing machine steel shank with a screw system that adopt the principle of pressure that the system works to simplify the pressing mechanism that uses the engine manufacturer by comparing and combining the emphasis with a hammer. How it works to put pressure on the steel shank with a successor style screw system that will make the process of forming steel shank in the formation process easier and faster. The results showed the results of bending steel shank can be formed in an optimal and perfect, adjust the height of the right to be paired. The machine dimension are 40 cm x 25 cm x 50 cm, weight 25 Kg

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of liquidity and profitability level of Company Exis Collection Yogyakarta. The data required are financial report includes the balances sheet and report of income in 2010 untill 2013. Methods of data collection using historical record, which is a methode of collecting data with recorded data of company which have a relations with a problem being studied. Analysed that used in this research is the analysis ratio methode, namely the ratio of liquidity analysis which includes: current ratio, cash ratio, quick ratio, working capital to total assets ratio and analysis of economic profitability ratio and profitability of their own capital. Based on the analysis of the results of the calculation of liquidity ratio and profitability ratio analysis, the results of the study can be summarized as follows : the ratio of liquidity which includes: current ratio, quick ratio, cash ratio and working capital Total Assets ratio at the Company Exis Collection Yogyakarta taken from the financial rerport of 2010 to 2013, showed an increase in the last 4 years. In 2013 the highest level of liquidity in the amount of 811%. The company's liquidity is considered good, because it is above the normal average standard of 200%. Profitability Ratio covering economic profitability and profitability of its own capital. Based on the overall calculation of economic profitability Company Exis Collection Yogyakarta in value either because the company still make a profit despite unstable and volatile in profit. Return on equity capital seen from the calculation as a whole for 4 years in general tend to rise and quite good because the company is still able to generate profits.

Abstract

This research wants to study why ornaments in leather puppets reflected in their body shape, clothing, and accessories are still interesting for craftsmen as their inspiration in creating various products. This research also studies about aesthetic structure, motives or ornament styles, and also ornaments roles in improving the art performance quality of leather carving and coloring. This research employs library, observation and interview methods in order to collect the data. Since the data were gained qualitatively, so this research analyzed them using descriptive qualitative method.The results of the research show that ornamentation of various kinds of leather carving products by the craftsmen in Pucung, Wukirsari, Imogiri is still the continuation of leather puppet making tradition from the ancestors. Although they have already made product varieties, but the ornaments in leather puppets and their making techniques still strongly influence the works resulted. This is due to several factors: 1. the motivation to preserve the carving tradition; 2. strong influence of puppets making procedures, 3. craft products demanded by consumers; 4. outside influences such as the use of synthetic colors which further improves the quality of appearance and attractiveness.

Abstract

Shoes in addition to those known from the model are also of the designation. Shoes are known not only as described above, but because of the following trademark or logo. The logo can be made by embossed. The authors in this study chose the title "Appropriate Tool System For Making Logo Shoe Molding Process For Small Industries". This study uses a leather material will be varied to variations in skin type, pressure length, and pressure temperature. This type of leather used vegetable leather and leather box. Press length made two kinds of 10 seconds and 20 seconds, while the pressure temperature made three kinds, namely the scale of 100, 200 and 300. Each treatment to obtain a set of four samples of 48 kinds of samples to test the tool pressure. In this study, the longer pressure results are seen more clearly, as well as the temperature, the higher the temperature, the more clearly also embosse result. The optimum results emboss, obtained at position 300 temperature scales and pressure length at 20 seconds on both kinds of leather used.

Abstract

In many industry, water purification methods like flocculation and coagulation are often inappropriate because of the high cost and low availabity of chemical coagulants. The concern for environmental and ecological issues encaurages the use of the biodegradable coagulant int waste water and industrial effluent treatment. Biocoagulant from Averrhoa Bilimbi fruits are alternatived because can precipitate the lime, especially for easily handling and more economical alternative in countries where the plant are available. This biocoagulant has been investigated to treat water effluent from limming processes. A series of jar test were conducted to determine the parameter involved during coagulation flocculation prosses. The treatment by adding 25 ml dosage of Averrhoa Bilimbi biocoagulant and with the addition of 10 drops of aquaclear as flocculants in wastewater liming the natural wastewater at pH 12.00, 0.17 unit decreasing of pH ,resulted 91 NTU turbidity reduction, resulted 0.008% and 0.0117 grNa2S levels of lime and sulphide reduction.

Abstract

Akademi Teknologi Kulit has website (www.atk.ac.id). The result of the recapitulation on the short message page, the guest book, and email shows that mostly the website visitors search he information about the new college student acceptance (PMB). The result of the recapitulation also shows that sometimes the information seeker still has the difficulty on finding the page link and asks the same question about the PMB information. Besides, the result of the report of the PMB activity in 2013 shows there are two highest information sources the new college student candidate gets, which are 45.96% from school presentation and 34.41% from ATK website. Based on that fact, there should be any analysis using cause effect diagram (fishbone) on the existence of ATK website to see the problem factors on the promotion activity and the analysis of PIECES (Performance, Information, Economic, Control, Efficient and Services) to compare the conventional promotion system to the online one (website). According to that analysis, there should be any addition on a separate page to particularly show the PMB information to help the promotion and publication of Akademi Teknologi Kulit specially on the recruitment of the new college student candidate and the easy way to do the online register. The research produces one website for the PMB information of ATK (www.pmb.atk.ac.id) that can be accessed from the new college student link.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to determine whether the leadership of a significant positive effect on employee performance Akademi Teknologi Kulit Yogyakarta, and (2) to determine whether the significant positive effect of organizational culture on employee performance Akademi Teknologi Kulit Yogyakarta. This research is quantitative research the correlation method. The population in this study were all employees structural Akademi Teknologi Kulit Yogyakarta, as many as 44 people. Data collection methods used in this study were questionnaires and observation. Analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that (1) leadership variables affect the performance of employees Akademi Teknologi Kulit Yogyakarta, and (2) organizational cultural variables affect the performance of employees Akademi Teknologi Kulit Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This research aims to study the use of artificial gelatine binder remainder split cow leather , patent binder instead of the chicken paw skin tersamak ( Tarso metatursus ) to scrub resistance paint .The material used is skin crust chicken scratch using gelatine binder treatment concentration variation on neutralization using 5 % hydrochloric acid , 5 % Acetic Acid and Citric Acid 5 % ie : 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 and 10 % ( w / w ) compared with patent gelatine binder using 3 % . then tested rub resistance ( SNI. 06-1996-1989 ) .Data analysis used a randomized block design or RCBD where the block is wet scrub resistance versus ketahananngosok fabric paint fabric paint dry , with treatments 2,4,6,8 , 10 % artificial gelatine . The results of the research that binders and binders patent artificial showed no real difference ( ns ) . When seen in the results of the research it is best to use artificial binders neutralizing acetic acid 5 % with the use of binders and 4 % 2 % 4 is a good result when compared to using neutralization with 5 % hydrochloric acid and 5 % citric acid and binder patent .

Abstract

Leather industry is one of industries supporting a country’s economy which has a negative side such as waste resulted from skin processing. Fleshing process is one those producing solid waste in the form of remnants of protein and fat that is potentially causing the pollution because of waste decomposition. CV. Cisarua located at Perintis Kemerdekaan 1001 Cianjur is one of the leather processing company in West Java. The company produces shoes leather and causes the emergence of some solid waste including: green fleshing waste from the early stages of leather processing, fleshing waste after liming process, shaving and WWT sludge waste as a by product of the waste water treatment. Those wastes were then processed into organic fertilizer. The processes of making organic fertilizer consist of material preparation, size reduction, pile preparation, inversion, maturation, milling, and drying under the sun. Efforts to maximize the process of making organic fertilizer were done by adding rotten rice as starter so that it could speed up the composting process in a laboratory scale. Feed quality testing is then known using physical, chemical and biological testing using marigolds plant/suring. Fertilizer was made using tannery solid waste added with (A) and without (B) rotten rice starter. Fertilizer A with 1.075% total nitrogen content using the composition of 40% cooked fleshing, 40% raw fleshing, 20% cow dung and starter 1:5 has met the requirements of SNI-09-7030-2004 (min. 0.4%). Fertilizer B with 0.9850% total nitrogen content using the composition 40% cooked fleshing, 20% raw fleshing, 10 shaving powder, 20% cow dung and 10% WWT sludge meets the requirements of SNI-09-7030-2004 (min. 0, 4%).
