Abstract

The case study has derived from an Indonesian geothermal company established in 2008 that focused on one of its projects located in a mining site at Muara Laboh, Solok Selatan, Sumatra Barat, Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to identify the nature and form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives conducted by the company at the Muara Laboh site; determine stakeholder contribution to the sustainability of CSR outcomes; analyse the relationship between stakeholders and the company; analyse the expectation differences between the company, stakeholder, and CSR/Stakeholder theory; identify future agenda development on the next stakeholder program; gives a reference for the subsequent research regarding a sustainable CSR program. The research method used in this research was a qualitative case study with a semi-structured interview as the source of primary data, where the population of this research was stakeholders of the company, with the method of purposive sampling for attaining the information. The study was imperative to learn the effectiveness of the company’s CSR in supporting stakeholders of the upstream supply chain. The result showed that the company has effectively implemented CSR for local communities in the Muara Laboh mining area. Moreover, local communities have had a good relationship and felt helped since the company came to their villages. However, there has been some expectation discrepancy between the company and local people. The distinction happened because the locals wanted material things such as donations and infrastructure. Nevertheless, they need more economic empowerment programs that can support sustainability or programs that can generate long-term benefits, not only material things that will run out if not used properly

Abstract

The growth of the industrial sector that continues to grow requires companies to have high competitiveness capabilities. Companies in order to survive in intensive competition and remain competitive with other companies are required to be able to innovate. One internal approach that can be used to create competitive advantage is to use a Resource Based View (RBV). This Resource Based View (RBV) method examines a company's assets, expertise, capabilities, and intangible assets, including the internal resources of the company, and determines its strategic advantage. The Resource Based View (RBV) approach highlights a company's capabilities and resources that are unique to that company and adds significant value for the company. Using the Resource Based View (RBV) theory which focuses on the resources owned by the company and its capabilities can provide an appropriate theoretical perspective for examining how internal factors can become resources to generate competitive advantage to increase the company's strategic capacity. Establishing a framework with a Resource Based View (RBV) approach for companies is expected to provide the right framework to have high competitiveness for companies originating from the management and use of company capacities and resources.

Abstract

The development of criminal activities alongside technological advancements demands the evolution of law enforcement instruments to remain relevant and effective. The rampant prevalence of cybercrime in contemporary society has introduced legal complexities in its mitigation. Cybercrimes have evolved and become increasingly intricate. To address these challenges, new legal regulations with a technological approach are necessary. Indonesia has implemented such an instrument, namely the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE). However, despite its implementation to combat cybercrime, several complexities persist. This research adopts a normative approach with a descriptive model. It aims to analyze the complexities associated with the implementation of the UU ITE in addressing cybercrime in Indonesia. In the face of rapid technological advancements, cybercrimes have become more intricate and require appropriate legal approaches. The research endeavors to contribute to the understanding and development of the implementation of the UU ITE in combating cybercrime in Indonesia. The findings of this research are expected to serve as a foundation for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of cybercrime management, thereby safeguarding society's digital activities. In conclusion, the growing threat of cybercrime necessitates continuous adaptation and improvement of law enforcement instruments. The research seeks to shed light on the complexities of implementing the UU ITE in Indonesia and provide valuable insights for the enhancement of its efficacy. By doing so, it aspires to contribute to the protection of individuals and communities in the digital realm.

Abstract

The regulation of commercial insurance in Indonesia is governed by the Indonesian Civil Code, in which insurance is considered a contract subject to the same general principles as other contractual agreements. Furthermore, the Insurance Law No. 2 of 1992 defines insurance as a business that regulates the conduct of those who operate insurance businesses. This research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive techniques to analyze motor vehicle insurance law according to the Indonesian Commercial Code. The findings suggest that insurance companies are institutions that collect funds from society and operate based on principles of responsible and healthy business practices, in accordance with government regulations. Responsibility is ensured through the issuance of insurance policies that outline the agreed-upon terms between the insurer and insured party, with the payment of premiums signifying the transfer of risk and the establishment of rights and obligations between the parties.

Abstract

In essence, a binding sale and purchase agreement represents a commitment or promise between the seller and buyer prior to the actual transaction. Such agreements typically involve certain conditions or promises that must be fulfilled by one or both parties before the main transaction, i.e., the sale and purchase, can take place. This study explores the legal implications of privately made binding sale and purchase agreements in the transfer of certified land rights. It delves into the legal consequences of these agreements, which, while legally binding, can result in adverse outcomes if either party engages in unethical practices or fraudulent behavior during private land transactions. The involvement of the land deed official (Pejabat Pembuat Akta Tanah or PPAT), a government-appointed official, is crucial to ensure the integrity of the land transfer process. Furthermore, this research addresses the legal certainty of binding sale and purchase agreements made under the hands as a means of transferring certified land rights. It emphasizes that the legal certainty of land transfers through buying and selling is contingent on compliance with PP No. 24 of 1997, which mandates that land transactions can only occur with proof of legal ownership based on the seller's documented land rights.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of communication quality (X1), teamwork (X2), and trust (X3) on work productivity (Y) of Tanjung Emas Port employees in Semarang with a total of 130 respondents. By using the SPSS Regression model tool for data analysis, the results show that the quality of communication, teamwork and trust all have a positive and significant effect on work productivity. Collectively, these variables contribute 50.6% to the diversity of work productivity, and the remaining 49.4% is influenced by other external factors. In hypothesis testing, it was found that communication quality (X1) had a significant positive effect on work productivity (Y), with a calculated t value of 4.376 > t table value of 1.98045, supporting hypothesis 1 (H1). Likewise, teamwork (X2) and trust (X3) both have a positive effect on work productivity (Y), with calculated t values of 2.039 and 4.852 respectively, exceeding the t table value, thus supporting hypotheses 2 (H2) and 3 (H3). These findings underscore the importance of fostering effective communication, teamwork, and trust in the workplace to increase overall productivity.
