Abstract

The growth of coffee shops in the city of Bandung encourages brand competition that not only focuses on product quality but also on the ability to convey sustainability values to consumers. Work Unusual is a coffee shop that has implemented environmentally friendly practices, but the level of consumer green brand awareness is still relatively low due to the limitations of the communication media used. This research aims to design sustainable merchandise as a physical communication medium to optimize green brand awareness at Work Unusual. The method used is design thinking with the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. The design focuses on the development of merchandise in the form of laptop sleeves made of vegan leather based on coffee grounds with the application of interlocking and quilting techniques. The results of the research are in the form of a laptop sleeve prototype that has functional, aesthetic, and sustainability values, and is considered capable of nonverbally representing Work Unusual’s environmental commitment. The conclusion of the study shows that sustainable merchandise design has the potential to be an effective visual communication strategy in supporting the optimization of green brand awareness in sustainability-based coffee shops.

Abstract

This study addresses the increasing competition in Indonesia's coffee shop industry, where brand identity and sustainability values play a crucial role in building consumer awareness. Work Unusual, a coffee shop that has implemented various sustainability initiatives, faces challenges in communicating these values consistently through its visual media. This research aims to design an apron made of vegan leather from coffee grounds as a product medium to optimize green brand awareness at Work Unusual. A descriptive qualitative approach with a design thinking framework was employed, involving the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data were collected through observation, interviews with staff and visitors, questionnaires, and literature studies. The findings reveal that aprons, as staff attributes used in direct customer interactions, hold strategic potential as a visual medium for conveying sustainability values. The use of coffee-grounds-based vegan leather supports material sustainability and circular economy principles while reinforcing brand identity. The apron design successfully integrates function, aesthetics, and eco-friendly values, enhancing consumer perceptions of Work Unusual’s sustainability commitment. This study concludes that sustainable aprons can effectively support the optimization of green brand awareness in coffee shop environments.

Abstract

In the modern era, governance can no longer operate effectively through a purely hierarchical and top-down approach. The complexity of social, economic, and environmental challenges faced by society demands a more inclusive and responsive framework. In line with contemporary public service demands, it is imperative to examine collaborative governance in public services to understand how diverse stakeholders can synergize effectively to address intricate public issues, optimize service delivery, and enhance governmental legitimacy and responsiveness. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of numerous research projects concerning collaborative governance in public services. Using VOSViewer as an analytical tool, we present the findings of our bibliometric analysis. Abstract

Bronchopneumonia is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the pediatric population, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. This condition also imposes a considerable economic burden due to the long duration of treatment and the frequent use of antibiotics, which are often inappropriate. This study aimed to evaluate the rationality of antibiotic administration in pediatric patients hospitalized with a diagnosis of bronchopneumonia at Columbia Asia Pulomas Hospital Jakarta during the period from April 2024 to April 2025, and to analyze its effect on clinical outcomes and treatment costs. This study used a retrospective cross-sectional design with a total sampling approach of 164 patients through a review of medical records and cost data. The rationality of antibiotic therapy was assessed using the Gyssens method, and the relationship between variables was analyzed using bivariate statistical tests. The study found that 71.9% of rational antibiotic use correlated with a higher clinical improvement rate of 80.5% compared to 52.2% for irrational antibiotic use (p = 0.000). However, there was no significant difference in the duration of hospitalization between rational antibiotic use (4.70 ± 0.82 days) and irrational antibiotic use (5.41 ± 2.25 days) (p = 0.612), nor in the total cost of hospitalization (rational use: Rp 15,956,032.66 ± Rp 5,568,892.10 vs. irrational use: Rp 18,801,283.94 ± Rp 11,292,810.87) (p = 0.658). These results emphasize the importance of antibiotic rationality analysis as an effort to improve clinical outcomes without having a significant impact on cost efficiency or treatment duration.

Abstract

National Meteorological Services (NMSs) are increasingly moving beyond their traditional role as publicly funded providers of weather and climate information to deliver customized meteorological services tailored to specific sectors and users. This shift is driven by rising demand for sector-specific climate information, fiscal pressures on public funding, technological advancements, and the growing presence of private weather service providers. This study conducts a systematic literature review to examine how NMSs are evolving their service business models and to analyze the role of dynamic capabilities—specifically sensing, seizing, and transforming—in enabling these organizations to adapt effectively. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, relevant studies published between 2015 and 2025 were identified through Scopus and Google Scholar and analyzed using bibliometric techniques and integrative qualitative synthesis. In addition, a comparative content analysis of official NMS websites across developed, developing, and least developed countries was undertaken to capture real-world service delivery models. The findings reveal that while most NMSs continue to prioritize public service mandates, a growing number are adopting hybrid business models—such as cost-recovery schemes, public–private partnerships, and state-owned enterprise structures—to support customized services. The literature further indicates that dynamic capabilities play a critical role in this transition by enabling NMSs to identify emerging user needs, mobilize organizational and technological resources, and reconfigure service delivery arrangements under regulatory constraints. However, empirical research explicitly linking dynamic capabilities to business model adaptation in NMSs remains limited. This review contributes by synthesizing fragmented insights across public sector, digital government, and service innovation literature, and by highlighting key gaps for future research on strategic transformation in public meteorological institutions.

Abstract

Christian Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Kristen / PAK) is called to be a human praxis that affirms the dignity of human beings as God's creation. However, in the context of modern education, PAK also faces a humanization crisis due to the dominance of instrumental paradigms, competition orientation, and cognitive achievement-based assessments that reduce students to objects of the system. This article aims to analyze dehumanization in the education system through a critical pedagogical perspective and to formulate PAK’s theological contribution in restoring human dignity based on the concept of imago Dei. This research uses a literature review method with a reflective-critical and interdisciplinary approach, integrating the critical pedagogical thought of Paulo Freire, Henry A. Giroux, and Peter McLaren with the theological reflections of Karl Barth and John R. Middleton. The results of the study show that an education system that emphasizes efficiency, quantitative evaluation, and structural compliance has implications for the alienation of students and weakens the spiritual and relational dimensions of education. Critical pedagogy provides a framework for liberation through dialogical and transformative education, while imago Dei theology affirms the ontological and ethical foundations of PAK as a restorative pedagogy. This article concludes that the integration of critical pedagogy and imago Dei theology strengthens the role of PAK as a liberating praxis of faith, restoring human dignity, and presenting an education oriented toward love, justice, and solidarity.

Abstract

Electric motorcycles are promoted as an environmentally friendly transportation solution to reduce carbon emissions and support sustainable development. However, consumer resistance to purchasing electric motorcycles remains a major barrier, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effects of innovation barriers on Intention to Resist Electric Motorcycle Product Purchase, namely Usage Barrier, Value Barrier, Risk Barrier, Tradition Barrier, and Image Barrier, and to examine the moderating role of Green Trust. The study employs a quantitative approach using PLS-SEM. Data were collected from 221 respondents aged 18–56 who live or work in Jabodetabek and Yogyakarta. The findings indicate that Usage Barrier, Value Barrier, Tradition Barrier, and Image Barrier have a positive and significant effect on consumers’ intention to resist purchasing electric motorcycles, while Risk Barrier is not significant. Among all barriers, the Tradition Barrier is the most dominant factor. In addition, Green Trust is not proven to significantly moderate the relationships between the innovation barriers and the intention to resist purchase. This study extends the application of Innovation Resistance Theory (IRT) in the context of green products and offers practical recommendations for industry stakeholders to strengthen credibility and foster more positive perceptions of electric motorcycles.

Abstract

Internship constitutes a critical component of higher education, particularly in Social Work, as it bridges theoretical knowledge and field-based professional practice. In the context of Timor-Leste, internship implementation often occurs in remote areas characterized by geographical limitations, strong socio-cultural traditions, and complex community dynamics. This study aims to analyze the mental and emotional preparation of Social Work students during their internship experiences and to examine the socio-cultural factors influencing their adaptation process. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research applies documentary analysis and content analysis of official internship reports and relevant literature. The findings indicate that students initially experience anxiety, social isolation, and psychological pressure due to environmental changes, cultural differences, and separation from family. However, through adaptive communication, cultural sensitivity, and reflective practice, students gradually develop emotional resilience, professional maturity, and socio-cultural competence. The study highlights that mental and emotional preparedness is a fundamental determinant of internship success. Without adequate preparation, students risk stress and disengagement; conversely, structured socio-emotional preparation enhances professional identity formation and community integration. The study recommends integrating socio-emotional training, intercultural competence, and psychological mentoring into the Social Work curriculum to strengthen students’ readiness for field practice.

Abstract

The government has undertaken various efforts to prevent and minimize opportunities for human trafficking, including community empowerment initiatives. One form of empowerment is implemented by the Directorate General of Immigration through the Immigration Assisted Village (Desa Binaan Imigrasi/DBI) program. This commendable initiative requires supporting efforts through program evaluation, which became the objective of this study. The research was conducted in Lombang Village, Indramayu Regency, using the evaluation concept introduced by Daniel Leroy Stufflebeam, namely CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). A qualitative approach was employed, with research informants consisting of program recipient communities and implementing officers. The study was supported by secondary data in the form of program reports and relevant regulations. The findings reveal that the program has been operational for one year. In terms of the Input aspect, it was evident that human resources were inadequate in both quantity and expertise, accompanied by a limited budget, which hampered program continuity. Regarding the Process aspect, community participation was insufficiently accommodated, and the limited input negatively affected the program’s overall implementation. Overall, the program’s execution, which demonstrated weaknesses in the Input, Process, and Product aspects, resulted in a limited reach of the target population and low public awareness.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of sustainability, proxied by the Sustainability Report Disclosure Index (SRDI), liquidity, proxied by the Current Ratio (CR), leverage, proxied by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and company size, proxied by Log Total Assets (SIZE), on company value, which is proxied by the Price to Book Value (PBV), with profitability, proxied by the Return on Equity (ROE), as a moderating variable. The research samples were selected using a purposive sampling method, with the population consisting of 58 non-bank financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020–2024. The research sample comprised 17 listed companies that met the established criteria. The research method is quantitative, employing the regression method in the form of panel data regression analysis, as the data used is a combination of time series and cross-sectional data. The results of the study indicate that SRDI, CR, DER, SIZE, and the interaction of independent variables with the moderating variable jointly affect company value. Partially, CR, DER, and SIZE influence firm value, while SRDI and ROE have no effect. Meanwhile, ROE moderates the effect of CR and SIZE on firm value but does not moderate the effect of SRDI and DER.
