Based data from OECD, Indonesian students’ scientific literacy in 2018 is subaverage. Therefore, researchers do need analysis for developing the scientific literacy application based on Al-Qur'an and Sosio-Scientific issues. The purpose of this research is to obtain information from teachers and students’ perspective about the characteristics of ideal scientific literacy application. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The research subjects consisted of 10science teachers and 300madrasah students from 4 districts in Malang Regency. Scientific literacy emphasizes the need for a balance between various abilities and requires skills in deciding Sosio-Scientific issues. Integration between science and religion is also highly considered in terms of avoiding free value of science. The results showed that the science literacy application development based on Al-Qur’an Sosio-Scientific issues is needed with certain criteria.Keywords: Al-Qur’an; Scientific Abilities; Scientific Literacy; Sosio-Scientific Issues

The purpose of this study was to describe (1) the process of mathematics learning using Whatsapp and Google classroom and (2) the constraints experienced by teachers and students regarding the use of these two applications in Mathematics learning. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used is interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were a mathematics teacher and two students. The results showed that (1) Mathematics learning process was running smoothly where Whatsapp was used for core learning activities and Google classroom was used to access material and practice questions; (2) The obstacles faced by teachers and students are more directed at the less stable internet network. In general, the use of Whatsapp and Google classroom in learning Mathematics runs quite well. Keywords: Learning; Mathematics; Application; Covid-19

This cross-sectional qualitative study was conducted to understand teachers’ expectations of their professional development that will inform the policy and practice of effective teacher professional development programs. The participants of the study were in-service English teachers who were alumni of professional development programs held at a training centre in Banda Aceh-Indonesia under the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA). Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and data collected were analysed using thematic analysis. The findings show that teachers had high expectations when attending a professional development program. Another significant findings were teachers expected qualified trainers both instructional and interactional; the provision of good quality training facilities, resources, and infrastructure; adequate and equal teachers’ access to professional development that meets their professional development’s needs, career and learning journey. These elements were perceived by teacher participants as important criteria for effective teacher professional development, especially in Aceh’s context. This research was motivated by the controversy over Hambali’s that iddah for women is one menstrual period. Meanwhile, according to the major sects, the iddah is three times of quru', and based on Indonesian marriage regulations, the iddah is 90 days. Hambali’s view of thought is based on certain traditions. So this study aims to determine the validity of these traditions. This research is a takhrijul hadith’s study using descriptive method in form of content analysis. An important finding was found that it turns out that the traditions used as the legal basis for one-time menstrual iddah are da'if. The finding is something new because some scholars think that the traditions are valid. This finding is important for the public, so that it is not easy to accept the sect’s opinions that are widely spreaded on the internet. The purpose of this article examines the advantages of understanding the spirit of progressive Islam, compliance with organizational policies related to social welfare. The research is carried out at SDIT Muhammadiyah Cirebon. The subjects of this study were the principal, 15 Educators, and 5 Education Personnel. This research uses qualitative which uses instruments in form of interviews, observations, and documentation, also strengthened quantitatively by questionnaires. The approach used is cultural interpretation. Descriptive statistical analysis is used to describe the general state, and the data obtained from the questionnaire will be analyzed statistically descriptively. The results showed that organizational policies are based on the spirit of progressive Islam, and the policy of SDIT Muhammadiyah’s principal through transforming, habituating, as well as forming values. Another finding is that the educators at SDIT Muhammadiyah are socially and financially prosperous. It can be concluded that education personnel have prospered socially in addition to compliance with the principal’s policies, also because the progressive Islam principles’ understanding.Keywords: Progressive Islam; Organizational Policy; Social Welfare; Muhammadiyah

The Istihsan method is a legal argument whose existence is not agreed upon by ushul scholars, so the legality of the law born from this method has been debated until now. The research method used is normative juridical, which is literature study. The approach used is by comparing between the opinions of Mutakallimin and Fuqaha. Researchers conclude that The Istihsan actually has a strong foundation from both the Qur'an and al-Hadith. Its existence is an independent syara', that it can be implemented in actual problems, notably in the field of muamalah. The difference of opinion among Ushul scholars about to have Istihsan or not actually goes back to the standard of Urf as one of Istidlal methods. Implementing the method in the field of muamalah (Islamic Economy) can be found within contract of Salam, Istishna' and sale and purchase (Bai' al-Taqsith or Bai' bi Tsaman al-'Ajl). This article aims to provide answers about the role of literacy and citizenship in the industrial revolution 4.0 era to strengthen religious moderation in Indonesia. This research is qualitative with a descriptive nature and normative-sociological approach. Library research by using content analysis method is also applied. The results conclude that religious diversity in Indonesia must be combined to create a beauty. In combining these differences, precise steps are required. Cultural literacy and citizenship in the industrial revolution 4.0 era are steppingstones towards a surefire step which is the main concept, religious moderation. Islam commands to apply an attitude of religious moderation with the principles of justice, balance and tolerance with established boundaries. By applying religious moderation’s attitude born from cultural literacy and citizenship, unity between Indonesian citizens will be embedded, for their national identity. This study aims to understand the global publication’s trend on waqf management around the world until April 2022. This descriptive bibliometric study was conducted by utilizing a literature review from Scopus database. VOSviewer software is used to visualize the results. The analysis carried out includes publication trend, contributions based on country of origin, journals distribution, the most cited articles, bibliographic coupling analysis, and keyword analysis. The results showed that the number of publications on waqf management had increased since its inception in 2007 to April 2022. Malaysia is the country with the most researchers to produce 29 articles. The article entitled “Waqf Accounting and Management in Indonesian Waqf Institutions: The Cases of Two Waqf Foundations” from the journal Humanomics is the most cited with a total of 27 citations. Waqf, waqf management, and cash waqf are the top three most discussed keywords. The keywords "sustainable development", "muslim community", and "history" are not widely discussed. This study aims to describe the existence of cultural and civic-based religious tolerance education at SDN 04 Sipkanyin in the media moderation 4.0 era. This research uses a qualitative approach, case study model. The research data collection used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that SDN 04 Sipkanyin has displayed the existence of religious tolerance through learning, school culture, and student self-development by utilizing existing modern technology. Through learning, lesson plan, implementation, assessment, and evaluation are succesfully observed. The academic culture is sensed through installing school’s vision and mission, and discipline. Religious cooperation and guidance are manisfested through democratic culture. Students' self-development is executed through routine extracurricular activities, literacy, religious harmony movies, morning apples, and Monday ceremonies. Spontaneous activities are in form of reprimands, advice, and praise. Exemplary is given through the provision of examples by teachers. Conditioning is by providing infrastructures.
