Abstract

This research is the design of a decision support system (DSS) to determining the student as scholarship recipients of the STMIK Pelita Nusantara, Medan, Indonesia, with the approach of Fuzzy Multi Attribute Decision Making (FMADM) with TOPSIS method. Approach to Fuzzy Multiple Attribute Decision Making (FMADM) by specifying the values of the weights for each of the criteria or attributes and TOPSIS method for selecting student scholarship recipients. Implementation of a decision support system that can show the interaction of the user with the software application built using Visual Basic 2008 programming language. Conclusion the results obtained from the discussion shows that the approach with FMADM TOPSIS give final value calculation results ordered that can help decision makers determine the student deserves the scholarship. The existence of a decision support system that has been designed so the process of determining a student scholarship recipients more accurately, quickly, and accurately.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Zakat (SIZakat) is a web-based information system that is used to assist in the management of zakat in Imam Bonjol Mosque Pondok Labu, South Jakarta. In this thesis, we conducted testing to the SIZakat application to know the quality and the feasibility. We conducted seven kinds of testing: Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Stress Testing, Load Testing, Testing SQL Injection, XSS Injection Testing and User Acceptance Testing. In addition to ensure the quality of SIZakat, the SIZakat test result is expected to be a reference for future quality improvement. Test results show that SIZakat have accurate functionalities, good security, and good performance.

Abstract

Research regarding scheduling and power distribution system on diesel power plant in North Sulawesi using genetic algorithm has been done. This research was conducted to provide a new approach for scheduling and power distribution in North Sulawesi. Method of genetic algorithm is used in this study to address the problem of scheduling and distribution system of diesel power plant. Method of genetic algorithms is a heuristic search algorithm that mimics the mechanisms of biological system. Under this concept, the problem will be solved using the pattern of biological evolution. Solutions for solving problems will apply the method of selection, crossover, and mutation. Scheduling using genetic algorithm can optimize the scheduling done by by PT. PLN North Sulawesi, Minahasa System AP2B. Based on the results and the discussion it can be concluded that the genetic algorithm can be used as an efficient method for scheduling and power distribution system on the diesel power plants in North Sulawesi.

Abstract

At the present time, each organization is required to have differentiation and innovation in order to increase competitiveness against its competitors and increase profit organization. Higher education is a business organization engaged in services can not be separated from the reach of globalization, competition and the use of information systems and information technology ( IS / IT ) in the business process. Sekolah Tinggi Teknik Musi (STT Musi) is an educational institution in the city of Palembang are already using the IS / IT in its operations, but to do the planning and management of IS / IT is aligned with business strategy and vision is still not optimum. Therefore, to optimize the use of IS / IT is right that supports the business strategy and vision and also to improve the business strategy in the future in line with the vision and mission planning needed SI / IT is mature. Therefore this study will result in a strategic planning model of IS / IT in accordance with the business strategy and vision of the STT Musi. This plan will use the methodology proposed by Tozer and the expected results of this study will address the needs of strategic planning model SI / IT from STT Musi which has been much needed in the face of a very high level of competition at this time with the achievement of measurable results and comprehensive.

Abstract

The software is an intermediary between system hardware computer with user as human. Based on the emerging software projects because of the importance of the functions already affects many functions in various aspects. Software projects that have become this need ultimately require management actions to manage the process in the project. Project management is necessary for the success of the project. Bereau Information System PT. X is one part of a company that provides software for functional PT. X. Analysis results from the concept of software project management information systems Bureau at PT. X when the process of designing application systems information accounting PT. X aims to answer how concept of project management Information Systems Bureau in designing the Accounting Information System applications. The methods used in this research is the study of the library with a general empirical approach based on experience and theories related to project management especially in software projects. The conclusions obtained that the activity of the management software on System Information Bureau is in compliance with the application of existing theory, but science is constantly evolving so as to do the development management activities after conducting evaluation regularly for the maintenance of long-term software project.

Abstract

The e-voting system which developed using two central facilities protokol consist of three component that is voting machine as client for interaction with voter, central legitimization agency (CLA) as server voter authentication, and central tabulating facility (CTF) as server for result recapitulation voter vote count. Research in this paper just focused to voter authentication process on voting machine toward database of voter that stored in CLA with using fingerprint biometric technology. Fingerprint biometric technology used for voter registration process, voter verification process, and voter authentication process who will doing election. Registration process for acquiring voter fingerprint image database, verification process to be sure voter database can be verificated or not, and authentication process for voter authorization who can be permitted or not by system give of vote in election.

Abstract

Abstract Development of the tourism sector is part of the national development efforts that are being implemented in Indonesia. This research was conducted with the customer to make an overview of knowledge management models to address the existing problems in hospitality in the hospitality Purbalingga as supporting tourism Purbalingga. The model depicts a series of problem-solving activities that result in the hospitality, especially in Purbalingga. This research was action research with methods of Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) with validation using a theoretical approach, expert judgment and user on the object of research. From the research conducted, has produced a model of customer knowledge management in the hospitality tailored to the problems and needs of the hospitality in Purbalingga.

Abstract

Abstract Nowadays, knowledge management in organization became a trend strategy in order to improve organization performance. But unfortunately, it’s a big challenge to implementing knowledge management in organization, because it’s relatively new and not many people knew about this. This research is done in order to realize bureaucratic reform in government service improvement according to PERMENPAN No. 14 Tahun 2011 is about knowledge management (KM) implementation in government. Knowledge management cannot be separated from human capital as an intangible asset in organization which has an important role to the success of organization goals. This conducted research aims to identify critical success factor of KM implementation in Indonesian government human capital management case study: Badan Kepegawaian Negara. Stages of this research are literature study, data collection using interviews, observation, and group discussion organization to explore and discovering critical success factor for KM implementation. Data analysis using descriptive statistic, delphi method and expert judgment in order to define critical success factor of implementing KM in government human capital management: case study in Badan Kepegawaian Negara. The result shows that several critical success factors for KM implementation in the government human capital management are organization culture, leadership, organization structure, HR/HC (knowledge, skill, attitude), HR/HC process (acquisition, development, engagement, retention) and policy.

Abstract

Abstract North Sulawesi province is fostering regional development towards a society which have values, prosperous and competitive cultures. Information Technology (IT) have become a key enabler to accelerate region developments. To optimize IT utilization, local government can used IT Valuation Matrix framework, to identify all IT Business Value which derived from each IT investing type, and then be quantify in reasonable and responsible manner. IT Valuation Matrix framework also provide best practices to assessing local government IT investment. This article shows the process of designing mobile-android based applications for quantifying IT Business Value based on IT Valuation Matrix method. Using Disciplined Agile Delivery methodology, which based on agility and object-oriented approach, the application that meet user expectations and needs, can be developed.

Abstract

Abstract Congestion is one of the severe problems that occurs in big cities like Jakarta, the center of the Indonesian government. One alternative solution to solve this problem is with a Traffic Information System which is easily accessible by the public. Twitter as a social media can be used as one of information source to develop the Traffic Information System. The most common problem in the processing of information on Twitter, especially in Indonesia, is the use of abbreviations and typographical error (typo). We propose an application of Web Place Name Dictionary in addressing abbreviations and typos in the name of the location contained on Twitter to develop a Traffic Information System. Three cases in find coordinate point in the street that derived from location name in Twitter can be handled through the proposed system. This system produces 90% accuration rate on 100 data set that obtained via @TMCPoldaMetro. This study only focus on the implementation of Web Place Name Dictionary method so we do not compare our system with the other methods.
