Abstract

Sebagian besar mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Sumbar masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memecahkan masalah, terutama pada struktur anatomi jaringan tumbuhan. Hal ini menyebabkan prestasi siswa rendah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka telah dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik Mind Map. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada pokok struktur jaringan pada organ vegetatif dan organ generatif tumbuhan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran aktif menggunakan Mind Map. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) Siswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian bahwa siswa Sesi E Angkatan 2013 yang sebesar 33 orang. Penelitian yang dilakukan terdiri dari 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah melakukan penelitian ini adalah peningkatan aktivitas siswa Prodi Pendidikan Biologi pada tahun 2013 sesi E pada mata pelajaran anatomi tumbuhan sebagai hasil dari penerapan Mind Map. Perbandingan aktivitas pada Siklus I ada 1 indikator yang mencapai kriteria baik yaitu indikator A.1, sedangkan pada Siklus II ada 2 indikator yang mencapai kriteria sangat baik yaitu indikator A.1, dan A.5. Pada akhir Siklus II semua indikator aktivitas belajar mahasiswa sudah mencapai target yang telah ditetapkan.

Abstract

LKS yang digunakan oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran masih ditemukangambar belum berwarna, soal-soal latihan berupa objektif,desain LKS belum menarik dan bervariasi. Ini menyebabkankurangnya minat siswa untuk belajar. Tujuan penelitian adalah untukmempermudah siswa memahami materi sistem regulasi manusia dan meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan denganmenggunakan tiga tahap dari model 4-D, yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), dan pengembangan (develop). Hasil pengolahan data dari angket validasi, menghasilkan rata-rata sebesar 77%yang tergolong dalam kategori valid. Hasil pengujian angket praktikalitas respon guru memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 85,50% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan rata-rata praktikalitas respon siswa sebesar 87,62% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan, LKS yang dikembangkan, sudah valid dan praktis digunakan oleh guru dan siswa, sehingga layak untuk dijadikan LKS pembelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Abstract. Fern is a plant that is spread so widely that it can be found from the lowlands to the highlands, has a high diversity of Indonesian flora groups and many grow in moist areas such as oil palm plantations, forests, hills and even river flows. In the river there are fern plants that grow attached to the stone. The study was conducted in July-August 2019 and aims to find out the types of fern plants that are used as decorative plants by sociality. The method used in this study is a descriptive survey by field observation and direct collection. Collections obtained were identified using with plant taxonomy books and field guides. Analysis of research data was done descriptively. The results showed that there were 6 types of decorative fern plants consisting of 1 class, 1 nation, 5 tribes, and 6 clans.Keywords: Pteridophyta, The Benefits of Fern

Abstract

 iiiHasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak kelas VIII SMPN 22 Padang masih di bawah KKM. Penyebabnya adalah strategi pembelajaran kurang tepat, partisipasi siswa rendah dan kurang fokusnya siswa memperhatikan penjelasan guru dalam pembelajaran Biologi. Hal ini dapat diatasi dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif  tipe Learning Stars With A Question (LSQ) disertai  handout. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan  jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 22 Padang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh 2 kelas sampel dan dengan pengundian maka dihasilkan kelas VIII4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dan hasil analisis data didapatkan thitung> ttabel, dengan demikian hipotesis diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe LSQ disertai handout dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Biologi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 22 Padang.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian menganalisis efek penambahan dosis getah aren (nira) dengan kosenstrasi berbeda terhadap daya tetas telur ikan gurami, menganalisis pengaruh penambahan dosis nira aren dengan kosenstrasi berbeda terhadap kelangsungan hidup larva ikan gurami, menganalisis pengaruh penambahan dosis nira aren dengan konsentrasi berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 21 hari, dimulai dari telur sampai larva. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metoda eksperimen yaitu 4 perlakuan, 3 kali ulangan, dianalisis dengan menggunakan metoda one way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian uji deskriptif dihasikan rata-rata daya tetas gurami tertinggi pada perlakuan C (99,00 %), diikuti perlakuan D (98,66%), B dan A (93,33%), Pada uji homogenitas dinyatakan bahwa nilai p>0,05 (0.477>0,05) yang artinya data yang diuji homogen, dan dilihat pada uji one way ANOVA didapat nilai p>0,05 (0,373>0,05), jika sig >0,05 maka H0 diterima yang artinya tidak terdapat perbedaan nyata terhadap pemberian perlakuan yang berbeda pada berat larva gurami.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of WhatsApp Group-based Blended Learning on students' critical thinking abilities. The study adopts a quasi-experimental design and is conducted at SMAN 8 Seluma. The sample consists of Class XII MIPA 1 as the experimental group receiving blended learning treatment, and Class XII MIPA 2 as the control group undergoing conventional learning. The Statistics Group Pretest-Posttest design is employed. Non-Probability Sampling is used for sample selection, and data analysis is performed using the t-test. The research findings reveal a significant difference in students' critical thinking abilities between the experimental and control groups. The average critical thinking ability score for the experimental group is 49.55, while for the control group, it is 46.43. The t-test results indicate a significance level of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, and Tcount (calculated t-value) = 5.668 > Ttable (critical t-value) = 2.022 (sig: 5.668 > 2.022). Therefore, H1 is accepted, and H0 is rejected, leading to the conclusion that WhatsApp Group-based Blended Learning has a significant influence on students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran snowball-throwing terhadap hasil belajar kognitif biologi siswa di SMA Negeri 8 Mukomuko. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Bulan Januari-Februari 2023, dengan populasinya yaitu seluruh kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 8 Mukomuko  dan sampel nya yaitu kelas X MIA 1 (kelas eksperimen) dan Kelas X MIA 2 (kelas kontrol). Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan desain penelitian berjenis quasi eksperimen pre-test post-test group design. Tes yang diberikan yaitu berupa soal dalam bentuk pilihan ganda berjumlah 15 soal. Data hasil belajar kognitif didapatkan dari uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, kemudian dilakukan pengujian hasil analisis data menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran snowball-throwing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif biologi siswa di SMA Negeri 8 Mukomuko. Hasil uji Independent Samples t-Test (t) sebesar 2,473 dengan nilai p sebesar 0,016. Karena nilai p ˂0,05 maka ada pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran snowball-throwing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif biologi Siswa di SMA Negeri 8 Mukomuko.

Abstract

Scavengers are individuals who gather used items or specific waste for recycling. Scavenging work has resulted in the notion that the scavenger's way of life is an unhealthy lifestyle. The environment and workplace are not conducive and are unclean, so there is a high possibility that scavengers can contract various illnesses, such as coughing, itching, diarrhea, and others. Risk factors for STH worms entering the human body are poor personal hygiene, which can be caused by not being familiar with maintaining proper hand and nail hygiene. Fingernails become a place where worm eggs are attached and can be swallowed when eaten. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of STH (Soil-Transmitted Helminth) eggs on the fingernails and toenails of scavengers in Suwung landfill. The research design was carried out with an observational study using the cross-sectional method and the results were analyzed with Chi-Square which was carried out by assessing the relationship between the presence of STH eggs and the use of PPE while working. A total of 10 respondents were sampled for their toenails and hands. The results revealed an incidence of STH egg infection in 20% of fingernails and 10% of toenails caused by Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura eggs. A Chi-Square test was performed to examine the correlation between the usage of PPE and the occurrence of STH infection, and a p-value> 0.05 was obtained. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no strong relationship between both of them.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze and describe the students' needs for biology learning resources used in the eighth-grade classroom at MTsS Qasratul Jannah. The instruments used in the study include interview questionnaires with teachers, student needs questionnaires, and book analysis. Based on the interview results, it was found that the school only uses one textbook and worksheets available in the market. Additionally, 0% of students have not met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) in the material on the human digestive system. The student needs questionnaire revealed that 94.7% of students face difficulties in understanding the material on the human digestive system, and 42.1% of students prefer handout teaching materials. The book analysis revealed deficiencies in the teaching materials, as they do not cover efforts to maintain the health of the human digestive system, and do not include illustrations in each topic. Based on the analysis, supporting teaching materials are needed, such as handouts that align with the students' needs

Abstract

Siruso Island is part of Taikako Village, Sikakap District, Mentawai Islands Regency. Siruso Island will be used as a tourist object. Tourist destinations can disturb the diversity of living things, one of which is Bivalvia (clams) on this island. This sampling aims to determine the types of clams (Bivalvia) on Siruso Island. This sampling was carried out in August 2022. This sampling is included in a descriptive survey research using the cruising method using the hand shorting technique. The sampling process was carried out at low tide to obtain data. The samples taken were samples that were still alive or samples that were dead or sample shells, with the criteria of intact or unbroken shells and good color. Sample identification was carried out at the Zoology Laboratories of PGRI University, West Sumatra. The results showed that the Bivalve obtained consisted of 4 Orders, 9 Families and 22 Species.
