Abstract

This study looks into how Nigerian deposit money banks behave with creative accounting. Five deposit money institutions in Nigeria were included in the ten-year sample, which ran from 2007 to 2016. The study's multiple regression analysis showed that the performance of banks is not much impacted by non-performing loans. Additionally, it was discovered that while gross earnings significantly improved the performance of Nigerian deposit money institutions, total accrual had no discernible impact on that performance. While it would be absurd to believe that banks' creative accounting procedures have no good impact at all, it is possible to reduce their negative consequences to a minimum by implementing the International Financial Reporting Standard (a new standard), which places greater emphasis on ethical factors and reduces bank managers' latitude in selecting various accounting techniques. Financial statement fraud would be further decreased and of higher quality as a result.

Abstract

This research discusses the application of asset maintenance at PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas. This research aims to determine the asset maintenance system at PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, as well as to create a web-based asset maintenance application program at PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas. The theoretical framework of this research involves information system analysis, by examining the information needed by management, related functions, documents used, as well as document flowcharts. MySql is used as a database, with the PHP programming language. The research results show that the recording process at PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas has been computerized but still uses Microsoft Excel. The weakness of this method is that it is difficult to look back at archived data for the previous year because you need to search for the file first and there is a risk of losing the file. Therefore, the application called AVATAR (Accounting Virtual Report) in this research is expected to help produce asset maintenance reports more effectively and efficiently, thus providing benefits for the company.

Abstract

Work accidents in every construction project are increasing in government projects, so an evaluation of the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) is needed in companies, particularly those with a construction service budget of less than 15 billion, which are categorised as small companies so that these companies are often ignored in the evaluation of the implementation of the occupational safety and health management system. In addition, each company must provide a conceptual design of the construction safety management system to guide the company when winning the tender. The many challenges and obstacles in the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK) cannot be separated from companies' lack of understanding and desire to implement the occupational safety and health management system, which is the output in every implementation of construction project work. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the company by referring to the construction safety management system design and the results of the occupational safety and health management system implementation that the company has carried out. On the other hand, only a few studies have evaluated using the CIPP method in assessing occupational safety and health management systems based on context, input, process, and product (CIPP). The research method used is a descriptive research design that uses observation, interviews, and structured questionnaires through purposive sampling to take research samples so researchers can better organise research subjects. In addition, the study uses a combination of qualitative research methods equipped with quantitative data to obtain more comprehensive data from the evaluation research on implementing the occupational safety and health management system in companies. Based on the results of the study that were able to be identified by researchers, the problems of companies and workers occurred more due to the lack of commitment to Occupational Health and Safety (K3) and the implementation of the occupational health and safety work culture in construction projects, both commitment from the company and commitment from workers to the occupational health and safety, which will have an impact on the implementation of occupational health and safety in work culture.

After collecting the data, it was analyzed using the statistical program (SPSS) for social sciences. Based on the theoretical and practical studies, the researchers reached some conclusions, including: Its importance stems from the fact that it is considered one of the ethical obligations in the first place, and thus it reflects the true social and human orientations of the owners, in one way or another, the true orientations of the owners socially and humanely. There is also a statistically significant moral correlation between accounting disclosure of social responsibility practices and the company's reputation. The research came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is that companies must develop clear and binding policies that reflect their commitment to social responsibility. Companies should also be transparent regarding their practices and efforts in the field of social responsibility.
