Abstract

Abstract

After the pandemic, students are still facing issues related to subjective well-being. Student behavior in communicating online with social media with various people with diverse backgrounds and also demographic factors such as academic level are factors that are thought to be able to predict student subjective well-being. The purpose of this study is to empirically ascertain whether communication network heterogeneity moderated by academic level has an effect on student subjective well-being. The participants of this study were 437 students in the Jakarta Greater area. Theoretical models are made to fit with empirical models. The results showed that academic level did not have a significant role in moderating the effect of communication network heterogeneity on student subjective well-being. That is, communication network heterogeneity itself is quite strong in predicting student subjective well-being. Other results are discussed later.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to explain the level of resilience in adolescents who have been victims of cyberbullying. The method used is descriptive quantitative by sending surveys trough Google Forms. The research respondents consists of 73 adolescents aged between 13 to 18 years who have experienced cyberbullying. The measurement instrument tool used in this study refers to the aspects of resilience according to Connor and Davidson (2003), which include of personal competence, trust in instinct, positive acceptance of change and secure relationship, self-control and factors, and spiritual influences. The analysis results show that the empirical average resilience score is 101.45, classified as high with a standard deviation of 19.16. High resilience levels indicate that adolescents who are victims of cyberbullying have the ability to cope and recover from negative impacts such as stress and depression. This is reflected in the high personal competence of cyberbullying victims, including the ability to manage emotions, make appropriate decisions, and build healthy interpersonal relationships. They also have strong trust in their instincts, which includes belief in their own ability to overcome problems and face challenges. Good self-control also supports resilience because adolescents who are victims of cyberbullying can control their emotions and behaviors, making it easier for them to recover from traumatic experiences. Addiotionally, high social support plays a crucial role as it provides support and attention, helping these adolescents feel supported and not alone in facing their problems. Furthermore, spiritual influence with belief in assistance from the divine being indicates that these adolescents have spiritual beliefs and trust in higher power to be a source of strength and calmnessin facing difficulties.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether job crafting and job demands have an influence on the work engagement of millennial generation employees. This study was conducted on 98 millennial generation employees using the utrech work engagement scale, job crafting scale and job demands scale. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Hypothesis testing with linear regression techniques. The results of this study indicate that the hypothesis of this study is accepted with the influence of job crafting variables on work engagement has a sig value. 0.000 and the value of t count 7.647 which means the influence of job crafting on work engagement. The value of the influence of job demands variable on work engagement has a sig value. 0.040 and t count 2.080 which means the influence of job demands on work engagement. The value of the influence of job crafting variables and job demands on work engagement has a sig. 0.000 and f count 87.045. These results indicate that job crafting and job demands simultaneously affect the work engagement of millennial generation employees.
